I had my first sub contracted dj working for me this weekend and it was such a good feeling knowing we both got paid and he did a good job for my client. Get back on the round table! Nice gig log
Depends on the area. But you need to mix. Spotify just doesn't do it. Aside from a few songs, 2 to 3 minutes of a song is enough. Keep them interested. That is actually for adults too.
The adults are only there as to watch over the kids, there are chaperone's that you see in the video. This is straight for high school kids only.
I mean for any party.
Glad to see you are picking up some gigs. Just some advice, pick up some gravity clips for your wires. They are game changers, inexpensive, and help the over all cable management. I seen you picked up a FLX6 awhile back also. Practice practice practice on that thing man. You don't have to scratch but the ability to beat match and mix in songs is vital. Not necessarily quick mixing but just the smooth blend. Keep on doing the work and it will get better. I went from about 15 gigs in 2022 to over 40 gigs this year and 2024 is looking better. I'm just part time so I don't promote and live by the DJ world like I should.
