The most important thing to do before making kale chips is to dry them so NO WATER remains. If you don't do this, the chips will be brown and burnt (like in this video), and have that burnt taste. After I wash the leaves, i shake off the excess water into paper towels and also lightly squeeze paper towels around them. Then I lay the leaves flat and put a fan on them. It works good! I also only use Tuscan kale.. it is by far the best tasting (I think!) kale to use for chips. I like to brush lemon olive oil on the leaves (it is easy to do with Tuscan kale leaves... they are long, like romaine lettuce) and then a light sprinkle of seasoned salt. I'm going to try the sesame seeds next time, in addition to plain olive oil and seasoned salt .... that sounds good.
I have just tried your kale chips and they are AmazeBalls!!! Even my hubby liked them which is saying something!! They remind me of the seaweed you can get from a Chinese take-away, only healthier and better!! Thanks mimi keep the recipes coming xxx
Just made these-- yum! Used Flax seeds since I didn't have sesame on hand. Amazing. I've tried making these before at lower temp but the 400 degrees worked well. Thanks!
I just made these!!! They were sooooo good, and didn't make me feel yucky afterwards like normal crisps do. Thanks so much, Mimi! I will be making these again. You are amazing :D xx
Tried it,love it!!! Perfect snack when you want something like chips yet healthy guilt free and keeps your body looking great ! Thank you! love all your tutorials!!!

I feel like we're always on the same page. I just bought kale to make kale chips today before I even saw your upload! I recommend buying a dehydrator to anybody who is looking to preserve its nutrients!
Hey Mimi, I really hope you see this. So my question is, what is your opinion on rice flour? Is it healthy? I see it in many diet recipies and I just want to be sure it's a good substitude for wheat flour. :)
Any particular reason you don't recommend rice flour? I haven't seen Almond or coconut flour in Ireland and I recently bought rice flour so I'm just curious. :)
I know this may not sound like a good question, but where do you buy your kale from?! It isn't the most popular green. Many people haven't heard of it, so it may not be easily accessible in all grocery stores. Whole Foods?!
Wow, it looks weird because I was expecting potato like appearance :) Really good, I'm going to try it because I don't even know what kale tastes like. I love the recipe videos. Please do more ;)
hey mimi did you know that when you head olive oil it will turn into a transfat, i suggest you use an alternative oil to cook with, olive oil should only be used at room temperature
By the way, not only are you gorgeous on the outside, but you have such an amazing spirit!! Thanks off sharing that with us, I know you brighten my day!!
So cool. When I went to buy the kale their was only one bunch and when I went up to the counter the girl had no idea what it was or that they even sold it and had to get a price check. So funny! :)
