I was getting a constant flow of mice in my pole barn. I tried the flour/baking soda trick and it worked. I spiked my concoction with tiny bits of apple. I got lots of action for two nights and after 4 nights, nothing. I've tried traps with peanut butter and the mice are totally gone. I leave a small amount of flour and baking soda by the location where mice enter. I haven't seen any action. After 9 years of trying several popular methods, this is the only one that worked 100%. Thanks for the video.

The absolute best mouse trap I have ever had is a 5 gallon bucket with some bird seed or grain of some sort in the bottom with peanut butter spread about 3 inches down from the top. They will hang to try to get that peanut butter and just give up and fall down to the grain and you can do what you want with them. Kill them or transport them five mile down the road somewhere. You can put about 3 in of water in the bottom and they will drown that away. It works very effectively. I just put a piece of wood for them to climb up the piece of wood to get on top of the bucket. Been doing this for over a year now and have never had one successfully jump out of the bucket. It's got to be a 5 gallon because of three or four gallon they will jump out. Hands down the best that I've ever used.

I saw this in a few different videos, but I used 'quick oats', just crushed rolled oats for making porridge, instead of flour, because I thought that would be more attractive, I also added some chocolate milk powder, flour is the last thing they'll eat in your kitchen cupboard, so I couldn't see that attracting them much. The first batch, I didn't use equal parts bi-carb to oats, I used about half as much. This sucked them in, they found the food, and got used to eating there. The second batch I used equal parts bi-carb and the other ingredients. There were 7 dead mice right next to the mixture over the next two days, and who knows how many further under the house out of reach. I didn't expect instant death, right next to the container, but that's what happened!
There are/were rats in the palm tree, so I put some at the base there. Like in this example, the containers disappeared three times, but what I put out a couple of days ago is untouched, so hopefully, no more rats left!
It definitely works for mice, that I can confirm, but I can't conclusively say it's killed the rats as I haven't seen a dead one, but I think it has.
Bi-carb is very salty, I use it when I get heartburn, so I think getting them used to it first was a good idea, I really couldn't see half flour and half bi-carb being that attractive, I thought the saltiness would put them off initially.
I think adding chocolate powder, or as some said, chicken noodle flavouring/chicken stock to attract them is a good idea.

You can save money and buy a 20 lb bag of Easy Sand 20 minute drywall compound. It's exactly the same ingredient as plaster of paris. Calcium sulfate. It hardens when water is added to it creating a hydration reaction. Like the bag says 20 minutes and it's hard as a rock. Do not add water to the mix. Let the rat's saliva and digestive juices start the chemical reaction. Any left over drywall compound you can fix some of your walls with. But that's an entirely different video

My MIL used cement powder and oatmeal and put it in the attic. Yes, she thought ahead about the smell. The mice & rats already have their source of water somewhere, probably outside. So she figured let them eat this then go out to drink. That way the critters don't die inside & stink! Worked for her for years.

I've tried many ways but one thing on a regular snap trap that never failed me is a tootsie roll. Take a piece of tootsie roll and melt in a little in the microwave 15 seconds. Press it on the cup of the trap and it will harden to wear it can't come off. Set the trap. I've caught mice in my garage in five minutes or as soon as I shut the light off and go inside. Try it. It,s amazing. Mice love tootsie rolls. Since the tootsie roll is melted on the trap and can't come off, the mouse will play with it enough that the trap will snap. Beleive me ,It works.

Jim Wright I was thinking about Pets the entire time!!!! I’m afraid someone’s dog or cat might find these things appealing.

I am going to try this! We have had a horrible rat problem because of feeding our chickens. Between our old cat and me, we have killed over 70 rats so far, but they keep on multiplying so fast that we can't keep up with getting rid of them! I hope this works! Thanks for the video!

My good man, i tried your method early October right when the weather in Az started to cool. I had an instant mice infestation that was stinking up my kitchen and destroying all foods that were not in a jar. I ended up using all of these ingredients: Durham’s water putty (comes in a powder and cheaper than POP), baking soda, sugar and cornmeal. I mixed all of these ingredients equally and placed them in tiny lids and hid them around the kitchen. The mice went crazy for the snack it’s been 3wks and I haven’t seen a mouse. After the dust settled I took time to deep clean my kitchen and cover any visible entry access to the house as well as laying snap-traps and sprayed rodent stopper (from ace hardware). Before this method I was catching 5 mice a week and now I can rest easy. Thank you.

interesting idea and I'm sure it works I've seen the same thing done with cornmeal and baking soda, the only problem with poisoning a mouse or feeding them something that will kill them is they go home to the nest to die that home might be in a wall or if it's a garage could be inside your car somewhere and you normally can't find them you can smell them but you can't find them.
I know a lot of people don't like them but glue boards and snap traps work better that way you catch the mouse and you get rid of him.

We have had a few nights being awaken of the sound of rodants in the walls. Found dog food under the fridge and stove AND OUR breads were being eaten. So We moved all furniture away from the walls. And closed holes we found. With steel wool and metal patches. Then while I cleaned indoors and watched this video my husband bound up all the wholes outdoors.
We used this method outside the home and under it. 4 days no noise. Baking soda flour and hot coco powder. Works

    • @daisymailhot4192

@Notsure R we mix 1 cup flour 1 cup baking soda, half a pack coco powder. Divided into 3 empty dog food containers. Set one in the shed attached to the house. 2nd under the enrty stairs out doors. And 3rs under rhe house . After 1 day bait was eaten.
After 3 says the bait was gona and so was the sound. Give it a try. BLESSINGS

@Notsure R its been 6 weeks this past Saturday. For Four week we made new mix and set each in a different location. By the 5th week nothing was touched. This week # 6 a few small paw prints like mouse size. No rats. And once again we just changed the location we set the mix each week. No new holes. No scartching in the walls that resolved three days after the first mix. And the neighbors haven't had any activity....
