@FieldtoFarm_UK So it gets them no matter what? Wow. A cancer nurse told me that a table spoon of baking soda in a tall glass of distilled water once a week is what her cancer doctors all did and said it raises the ph of the blood stream.
I have read at least 20 different recipes for homemade rodent bait. In the comments, and every one of them, or people who noticed that it didn't work once they got the bait wet. So I think you're concerned about wetting the baking soda before you even give it to the rat or mouse is
Mouse, like 4 or 5 days (for ppl like me who were cursed with a hypersensitive ability to smell a full week and I'll occassionally catch a wiff of it for months to come...blehck. Anyway, for a field or sewer rat a week n half to 2 weeks. Longer if u live in a 60's mobile home with 3 inch walls. It's absolutely putrid living in a trailer (in the 80's) at the edge of a giant cornfield n beef farm (for their deli/butch shop up the street) in the Kentucky part of Pennsylvania. But it was the only thing that covered up the stench of the fields covered in manure 😂😢😅😢😂😢😢😢 This part of PA really is like the armpit of America (or worse but won't say that). Sorry 4 rambling on.
@melankollymonroe it's worse in Arkansas where your neighbors feed chicken manure to their cattle all winter because it's cheaper than hay and grain and a Tyson chicken farm stinks for miles
I took straight peanut butter and bicarbonate of soda and rolled it into balls put on a plate and placed under my bird cage and another place in my home where i saw rat/mouse droppings
@@FieldtoFarm_UK I did, and nowhere in it did you film overnight the rats eating your poison. If you had done so, you would have been able to name the timestamp in the video where you did that, instead of trying to trick me into watching it again.
That's good to know, I've got a mouse problem in my shop and chicken coop and a rabbit problem in my yard. The rabbits chewed through the engine wiring for the 4th time on my wife's car.
If you heat up the peanut butter in a microwave safe dish prior to mixing, you don't need the water.
Yeah these guys are correct, gotta remake the video without adding water bc that deactivated the baking soda.
100% does not in small quantities, even fully diluted bi carb would still bubble with added vinegar. How do you think kids toy volcanoes work!

Sodium bicarbonate is not deactivated via water; it is deactivated via an acid.
Your cancer nurse knows NOTHING.
If you mix water with it, aren't you deactivating the sodium bicarbonate before the rats eat it?
I wanna know too
Yes! The mixture needs to be kept dry.
@@stevebarlow3154 or mixed with oil instead of water :)

I was also wondering
Safe for every other animal......................except seagulls.
The problem comes when they crawl into your walls to die and their rotting bodies stink up your home for weeks.
Few days max

Mix equal parts of baking soda in peanut butter or marshmallow cream.
yes they go nuts for peanut butter
They love it!
Is it ok for blue tongue lizard?
You could drop a bit in a small class of water see if it reacts or roll ball in dry baking soda
Amazing, thank you so much!
You gotta put an overnight camera pointed to the trap to see if it actually works. Otherwise it's a fantasy.
You should have watched the whole video 🤣

@jboss1073 The basic mixture of 50% foodstuff and 50% Baking Soda (Bicarbonate of Soda) is very effective. But it needs to be kept DRY!

I’d love to see a video on your BSFL set up 👍🏻
We just upgrading, I'll be doing some once its done 👌
@@FieldtoFarm_UK great. I haven’t seen many UK channels demonstrating them.
Peanut butter and Baking soda dont mix well, Because the Baking soda just coats the P/nut butter into blobs, Unless you have a high powered mixer,🤔
I was able to mix it by hand 50/50. Took a little effort, but I used smooth peanut butter.
Thanks!! I'll make more effort in the future!!🤔👍
THANK YOU FOR THIS!
if that really works then it's a game changer!
Seems to have done the trick around my barn 👌
Will this kill chickens?
what you growing insects for?
Animal foods 👌
TOP JOB,
Birds like p-nut butter. Does it kill sparrows and other birds too?
No they can regurgitate
Interesting, all of videos on this topic fail to show the results. Any guess why????
Prolly because it's gross to put pics of dead rats & mice up... Go on trust or try it out yourself.
@13112911 or partially neutralizing the baking soda with addition of water.
The water activates the soda
Baking soda is not safe for rabbits. Read about it.
Tks for the video. Going to try it out.

Excellent thinking.
