- If you have a problem whereby your Hotpoint Fridge Freezer has flashing yellow lights, continually makes a beeping sound, and the fridge won't cool, then this is the fix. You've probably already tried unplugging and resetting, but if the problem still exists, you need to go a step further and get rid of ice build-up.
This model is the Hotpoint FF200E - Наука та технологія
After 20 professional handy man useless video this lady save my day 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 thanks a lot!!!! ❤
You are very welcome. Glad to be of assistance!
thank you this helped by showing me how to reset the fridge freezer
No problem. Glad you found it useful
Great video. My Hotpoint has buttons not dials, but provided it’s the same set up behind the freezer draws ,I should be able to fix was has been an incredibly annoying alarm.
Yeh, the mechanics should be exactly the same, irrespective of the digital controls. Good luck!
Thank you this video was very useful 😊
Thank you for your kind words!
Use a wallpaper steamer. Just the hose not the 'plate' attatchment.
Yup that would do it too. Just a little more water to clean up at the end, but it would probably be quicker.
Thanks. I have the same one.
And did it work on yours?
Thankyou
Most welcome
I have a very similar Hotpoint fridge freezer, I defrosted it completely for 3 days and it started great and worked for two days lol. It stopped again, I couldn’t hear the fan, I had all the food defrosted again and a pig puddle underneath. I plugged it out and back again and the fan started but I suspect it might be a faulty NTC sensor. The problem is, I have no clue where that is in this type of fridge, i saw another video with a guy replacing one in a samsung fridge but I didn’t see clearly on your video where that might be in this type of fridge. I would be very grateful if you could point me to the right direction. Thanks
Blimey, that a bit of a palaver! Ok try this ... when you remove the back panel in the freezer compartment, there is a fan attached to the inside of it. Often the casing can come loose and the fan can't rotate freely. Look at that first. Then yes, it is possible that it is the NTC sensor because that regulates temperature. But at that point I would get a pro in if I were you.
Thanks. This is very cool but isn't there a way to just defrost the freezer?
This video does just defrost the freezer. You don't touch the fridge. You can't do it without taking the back out from inside though.
Did the coat hanger mod work in the end?
No! To be fair, I should have tried it with a copper wire because it has better conductivity. But I may give that a go next time someone doesn't shut the freezer door properly. I'll keep you informed 😉
What is this fridge freezer model number as I’ve just bought one second hand and can’t find the model number anywhere ?
Please? Manners cost nothing. The model number is FF200E and it is displayed at the top near the lights
What about I leave it to defrost by it self
Yes that's fine but it will take a long time if there is a lot of ice and it is thick. But try to stop the contents of the drawers you've removed from defrosting. You can cover them with wet teatowels to slow the thawing down.
