is that metal backed or plastic backed? does it use refrigerant? i have this but it's time to buy a new one. the seal has mould and it looks a horrible colour. I'm just afraid of fire hazards and this one has been very good to us. I want something similar but I want to check if it uses a refrigerant (potential fire hazard) because apparently most of them do these days whereas we bought this a very long time ago.
When the relay fails it is a sudden act. The inside of a relay is ceramic and can break. Hence on one day the freezer is cooling and the next day it is not. Without the relay, the compressor will keep running and humming but cannot push the gas along. It may then become too hot to touch.

A fridge will use refrigerant. There should be a label at the back to say what sort it is. The seal can be cleaned with bleach.
This is interesting although I’m confused what the fault was.
It was not freezing. Relay was replaced to see if this would get the fridge freezer working.

I have the freezer mate it keep it tripping the fridge switch on my main meter box . Any ideas would be cause it.
You have a short somewhere in the system. Most likely the mains filter.
Do you have a link to buy new relay?
Make sure you get the same type of relay and order on Amazon or Ebay

My fridge has the same relay as this one, not getting any power at all, it went off with a loud bang so the relay overloaded
@@tahmidahmed5241 it may be your capacitor has shorted out leading to too much electric to the relay. Check this as well.
