Quick video on how we joined out Ikea Pax closet together.
This also works on Billy Bookcase as it is almost identical.
Ikea does provide 2 connecting bolts together but we also used alternate hardware from Home dept which actually looked better in our opinion.

So you would say the Billy and PAX are the same white color?
Or do you have to paint the whole thing once you connect them to have it all match?

Hi, I did 8th from the top, (1 above my shelf location so it was hidden when looking from the ground). Then I did 3rd from the bottom ( i am sure fifth is fine - if you don't have any shelves going there) and 24th from the top (middle-ish) to close the gap. If you are not adding trim i would just take a couple small clamps if you have them and see what areas need it and will close the gaps before committing to any locations.

These tightening bolts didn’t come with my unit. Do you have an item number I can refer to? Having issues with ikea customer service in getting these without an order number
If you search for "Chicago screw" or "binding screw" at home depot / Amazon / Fastenal you should find them. GL!
Did you not use the backer board on your frames?
