I’m sorry about your sweet cat. 😢
Pets are so special. It's so hard when they pass ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My parents once added legs to an Ikea unit and over time it sagged in the middle since it wasn't designed to be elevated. I think this will work because you added the wood base with the legs. So if anyone tries this, make sure you reinforce the bottom, don't just slap on a pair of legs.
Great information. Thanks!
I love Rachel's energy. She did a great job as always.
I'm so sad about her kitty. It's so hard to lose a furry friend. 😢
Aww, RIP Whisky. So sorry for your loss, losing a fur baby is terrible, glad we got some moments with her in this video!
I think these are my favorite Ikea hacks I've ever seen. That cabinet was just *chef's kiss*. Thank you so much for sharing these, Rachel. And, I'm so sorry about your Whiskey. Sending you love.💕
I love how the channel has been incorporating foundational diy knowledge and intros to tools. Also love how Rachel makes it a point to comment on safety practices. I’d like to recommend she avoid wearing rings and bracelets while using power tools. I know it’s lower risk than stuff like wearing safety glasses and maintaining tools correctly but injuries from clothes and jewelry getting caught on materials and tools do happen and are so avoidable. Please keep yourself safe!!! It sets a great example for novices, too.
Agree, and best to put long hair up while drilling, can get wound around and yanked out!
Great projects Rachael! So sorry about your loss of your beautiful girl Whiskey! She was loved until the end.
Aww. I’m sorry for you sweet kitty. Thank you for mentioning Rochelle. I think it’s so important that the team gets mentioned and that doesn’t always happen. Great selection of DIY’s! Taking something and making it your own makes it special! Great job.
There’s nothing worse than losing our precious little four-legged kids. They just bring in such a joy and comfort. Know we all love you. On a happier note your DIY’s were amazing. Linen cabinet and then the glass cabinet was beautiful to. You’re amazing you all are there. Thanks for sharing.
Love it when there's 3 projects in one video. I was starting to get sad that it was about to end after the second diy, then here comes the 3rd! Yaaaay! Great job, Rachael. On a more serious note, I'm really sorry about Whisky. Pets are family members and they are missed just as much as a human loved one. I hope you take it easy and give yourself some time to mourn. My condolences.
Planter hack is definitely a hack, so cool. And I like the use of alternative glass.
Im sorry about Whiskey, may they rest in peace
LITERALLY SOME OF THE SMARTEST IKEA HACKS OUT THERE!!! Fist off, I had no idea ikea sold those bamboo panels. Second the grass cloth hack was awesome! And then lastly the tongue and groove from home depot!! All those I had no idea was possible. I’m definitely gonna be busy this summer!
Oh I’m so sorry about your furbaby. Sending hugs and love.
The cabinet result looks very similar to the Stockholm glass display cabinet that Ikea used to have a few years back. Love how all of these turned out eventually, looks great!
These projects turned out awesome! 😍 So sorry about your sweet kitty, Rachael.
I have trust issues but I'll watch anyway 😂
LOL
*Victoria Justice meme voice* "I think we all have trust issues" 😂
fr i like rachael but her works are a hit or miss for me😅
Thank you Rachel for that hug ❤️❤️ I needed it today :)
The cabinet was such a good idea! Pro tip for the polycarbonate glass: remove the protective film after cutting it to size to avoid scratches. With a textured finish like this one scratches dont really show up that much, but they will be very noticeable on a flat, glossy finish
I love all of Rachel’s projects. I am so sorry for the loss of Whiskey, who was very clearly loved. 🐾 💕
The linen look came out really good and I'm thinking it may even last longer than stick and peel.
I’m sorry for your loss 🥲❤️
Idk, hot take but ikea furniture flips are kinda hit or miss, like they look good but at the end of the day it’s cheap particle board and cardboard. I’d much rather get a cheap wooden piece from the thrift store and flip that
Rachael's videos never miss!! Makes me feel so cozy
Except the planter looked much cooler before it was "upcycled"
These are wonderful projects. I really love the linen texture and the fluted door hacks.
Not sure about the legs for the Billy bookcase. They look disproportionate. And you can clearly see that the “glass” is actually plastic. But at least it’s realistic: most of my upcycles/hacks look like you can clearly tell they are upcycles. I liked the upcycled bucket though.
The lamp we see when you say turn on the lights is sooo beautiful. I would love an DIY for it!
THIS! I want glass doors for a bookcase and had the exact same idea for a cheaper material! Your video made me more confident that it'll actually work!
The second DIY is giving me major “DEBBIE TRAVIS PAINTED HOUSE” vibes and I am loving it ❤
That was going to be my comment also!!
omg I've literally been wanting to build cabinet doors just like this but i was struggling with how to approach it (while not being too heavy) and omg you just saved me! I should totally attempt this !
He /She had a very long life! hugs for Whiskey. Great projects they look wonderful!!! I especially like the bookcase change, and the painted end table/drawers.
These are all great upcycles! Well done, Rachel! 👏👏👏
Sending you lots of hugs, love & prayers that your memories are filled with all of the happy, loving & goofy times you were lucky enough to share with your beautiful Whiskey! Also, the linen technique is gorgeous, but the Facebook cabinet flip was my fav. Thank you for the inspiration 🤗🙏🏻!
I'm so sorry about the loss of your kitty. What a beautiful friend. Sending you love!
That RL linen technique is soo cool! I love RL! And your cabinet upcycle is amazing! You are really gifted!❤
I was distracted when you were doing the sidetable and just saw the end result and I thought it was done with fabric. I've rewatched it just now and wow I was not expecting it to be paint!
May your dear cat have a beautiful new life it deserve for it's innocence and the happiness it gave you ❤
Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s my mom LOVED the Ralph Lauren home line!
The cabinet is beautiful. Love the linen texture on the side table.
Rachel i’m so sorry for your loss. You are a warrior💪
Love the planter & linen look chest of drawers. Looks so custom & expensive.
Sorry about your fluffy companion. So crazy my 20yr old kitty also passed recently. It’s been hard moving forward as she has been with me for so long. I’m sure you are experiencing something similar and I just want to send you big hugs and strength.
You knocked these flips out of the park Rachel! Wow!❤
The tongue and groove boards for the doors with glass is brilliant!
YAAAYY IKEA HACKS💙💛
The way both of you acted when the doors closed perfectly, I've felt that. You got new subscriber. Very sorry for your loss. Pets hit in a whole different way in your heart.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a member of our furry family is so incredibly difficult. Sending much love and many hugs of comfort. 😢😢😢❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Your three different makeovers were stunning. ❤❤❤
I love the doors on the Billy book shelf with the doors you added. I love the bamboo wrap!!! Gorgeous!!! Waiting for the grass cloth texture technique! 🎉😢😢❤ beautiful! Everything is gorgeous!
The linen paint trick is such a good look-a-like! The faux glass in the cabinet, too. Nice work :)
Really enjoyed your ikea makeovers. Interesting techniques and beautifully executed.😊
WOW, so simple as well as amazing!!!
I did the linen look paint hack to my son's bedroom walls back in the 90's.
So sorry for your loss 💔 but what a wonderful thing to give so much love. Missed you from the channel. I’m sure you needed time and I’m glad you got it
That linen look technique is amazing.
I installed an IKEA kitchen 13 years ago with glass doors on the upper cabinets. I loved the pattern on the glass. Unfortunately, I lost my home to a fire two years ago. The glass in two of the cabinet doors survived intact and I’ve been storing them in the hopes of someday reusing the glass in another project since these particular glass doors are no longer available at IKEA. After watching you build the doors on the Billy hack, I’m one step closer to recreating the glass doors that I loved.
I'm sorry about Wiskey, Rachel! Sending you love. ❤ I love the cabinet you made!
Loved the Glassdoor cabinet. I have been looking for a low cost cabinet like this.
Rachael you never disappoint.❤
I knew about Ralph Lauren Paint. I loved his suede paint and have it in my office in a beautiful dark green.
These upcycles look soo good! I will try the faux linen paint for my next project! ❤
You rocked it! Love how clear your instructions are. Thank you!
I believe Ralph Lauren was one of the first clothing designers to "brand" himself into other markets beyond clothing, shoes & accessories... Before everyone & their grandma did it!! lol.
I'm very sorry about your beautiful pet
Rachael you are lovely and talented, and I love your energy. Amazing upcycles, everything looked great! I'm so sorry for your loss, I know how hard it is. RIP sweet little Whiskey ❤🩹
Rest well Whiskey. That's a really nice long life for a kitty
Rachael, are your dining chairs from Ikea? I think they are the one I've been eyeing! They look good in your space.
The cabinet is just WoW! Excellent 😊now I have to do this myself
Loved all of your IKEA flips. My fav was the last one!
They are both very nicely done. Liking them a lot. one little tip: self-closing hinges could eliminate the need for those magnetic closures.
So sorry about your sweet kitty
I loved all 3 of these projects Rachael! My sincere condolences to you as well. 💕
Perfect! I loved this linen texture look!
Your diys are so edgy and fun. Amazing job. Sorry for your loss! Your kitty will always stay with you. Memories are a fragment of one's identity, always lingering and randomly resurfacing. Whiskey was loved and still remains loved! Hope that knowledge is healing.
You could see it was Rochelle making the pocket holes on the legs but it only showed her hands. I think you should give credit to your team when they are doing some of the work!
I'm so sorry for Ur loss big hugs xx
Great projects. Particularly liked the cabinet and your use of fluted plastic instead of glass. So sorry about the loss of your fur baby, it's always tough.
Omg! The bucket… it is so cool anf unique! Like the checkered pattern and a weird bird 🐦🥹🥹🥹🥹 I would just update the colors to the trending color palette but keep it this weird…
Love the carbonate "glass" idea! Will consider it for my billy shoe cabinet DIY if the paint keeps peeling in the joints on our oxberg doors due to heat changes throughout the year (entyway without heater lol). :) Small advice from someone who did DIY greenhouse reno using this material - you can use transparent silicone to seal the material in order to prevent condensation or dust buildup inside the small tunnels. They do sell special tape for that purpose but at least in my country, they only carry it in weird colors that ruin the intended design and the silicone beads are really not notieceable unless you are looking for them specifically (in this case, the wooden lip might even conceal them completely).
Aloha - I just found ur channel LOVE IT! I am sorry for your loss of BABY! Comfort & healing - YOUR hacks R GREAT - I think I'm going to try some of them TY
Absolutely loved all of these. More Rachael videos please.
Great DIY pieces! I actually love all three!
Loved all these makeovers. So sorry about your kitty. 😢 I did the Ralph Lauren denim on the bottom half of my bedroom about 20 years ago. I loved it.
Sympathy for you for your sweet kitty. I lost one recently and miss her so much. (I have three others at home, but she was my princess!)
I loved the fluted "glass" trick. Plus I'm guessing it is lighter & keeping it from being too top heavy?
And RIP, Whiskey. We never get enough time with our precious fur babies. 🥺
You produce great quality DIYS. THANK YOU!!!
Sorry about Whiskey. She was a gorgeous, gorgeous girl. ❤
So sorry about Whiskers….. this was a great video. That linen technique is fantastic!
Your kindness meant a lot today, Rachel! Thank you 💞 Sorry for the loss. I hug your back and send you good vibrations. 🌱✨️
honestly i loved the bird bucket as it was, but you did amazing as always!
Same. The ”upcycled" planter looks so boring and soulless, in comparison
Rachel, I always love your personality and humor.. and most of all, the xoxo's lol!
Love the linen look, I think I will try this in my bathroom
Aww I got excited when I seen your fur baby..then the message popped up..😢sorry about your loss❤
DIY wise everything looks amazing!
Great job with that table
I'm not crying bc of Whiskey, you're crying 😢Already knowing from the start that she went over the rainbow bridge, I literally teared up when I saw the footage featuring her. So sorry for your loss ❤🩹
OMG we need to see that faux linen texture on a wall like how cool is that, btw Im so sorry for your loss rachel whiskey seemed like the best cat ever ❤
I liked all the ikea hacks you did on this video.
It's also nice adding a fresh face on the already lovely Sorry Girls team.
Great job Rachel and so, so sorry about your sweet kitty.
losing a pet is the worst 💔rest in peace whiskey 🌻🌻
Oh no 😢 I somehow missed when she said this in the video, so sad!
WOW!! I’m absolutely going to be trying that linen paint technique!! Beautiful!! Also, so sorry about about your beautiful cat ❤
Rachel's videos are never long enough!
Thank you so much I will be making them for my hall linen closet🤸🤸🤸
I’m so sorry about your darling cat. RIP!
I loved the faux linen paint job. Probably not my style but I can totally see what you were going for and I think you hit the nail on the head.
I loved the cabinet too. Brilliant use of materials!
