After watching "Elsewhere and Elsewhen", I remember Phillip Witterbane saying that it took him years to find all of the Glyphs and feels like that the island is trying to hide them from him, while with Luz she was able to find them without any problems within a month due to them appearing right around her, do you think maybe the Titan might actually be good this whole time and allowing Luz to find the Glyphs because they believe Luz is more worthy of learning magic due to her good hearted nature while Philip Witterbane is not due to his cold hearted nature against witches?
I am not sure if the titan is good or bad and also the mysterious collector, becuase see the mural symbolizing King's ancestor against fights the Dark Titan, i don't know who is the worst villain, Belos or titan or collector, we hope that arrives the other chapters very soon
Or there are two titans, two entities. In episode 'Echoes of the Past', the wall painting showed two creatures, one having the same bone head like King and the other one black creature, fighting between each other with a falling star or some astrological event in the background. What if who Belos is communicating is that black creature, that dark titan and Luz is getting a bit of help from the other one. Could also be a reason why Phillip/Belos body is corrupted, the dark titan corrupted him, taught him coursed/dark magic.
I don't know about good or bad, but that Belos didn't find all the glyphs might be, because the Titan is indeed not a Fan of him. Or that he is just stupid.
Hmmm, there's also that distorted voice from In-Between realm that appeared in "Yesterday's Lies", that just said "Noceda" after Vee was captured. Voice that may or may not gave her idea of trying to reach her mom for help... I saw many fans speculating how this voice may belong to the Titan himself, and I believe it supports this theory. About the entire "dark titan" theory, I think it's on to something, especially when you consider that, in flashback Eda had in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door" from a perspective of the Owl Beast, we see Collector capturing the Owl Beast on the island that seems to have skull different to the one we see on the Boiling Isles. Furthermore, I believe that remains of the creature that make up this island is the one we see on the mural, battling King's lookalike in "'Echoes of the Past". Both have longer snouts, compared to the Titan of Boiling Isles. It could be that creators want to get us on false track, given this is just Owl Beast's memory of event that could be very different from what actually happened (also the reason why we don't see Collector's face). It would be fascinating If fauna of the Boilling Isles sees Titan skull as more animalistic, while witches and humans see it as more anthropomorphic, but I highly doubt it. I'm also interested to see what is Collector's relation to the Titan, since the mirror that's crucial in getting into contact with Collector resides in Titans skull. Perhaps Collector somehow tricked Phillip into doing something that was beneficial just to them. Tho honestly, when we finally meet the Collector, I would love If it turned out they were just a huge cinnamon roll, or someone who is more rolled up rather then actually evil. As I stated before, we already saw characters being first introduced throw perspective of other character's memories, only to completely shatter our expectations, just like they did with Alador. The reason “owl lady” was the solution that Darius probably came up with, is because he (Darius) saw how Eda’s curse messed up all magic in the area of the music. My guess is that Darius was suggesting that Eda may be able to “corrupt” the draining spell, which is why Raine said that they doesn’t want to put her in danger again. However, as far as we know, the coven leaders don’t know about the glyphs yet, including the two spies. ¡EDIT! Forgot Raine’s pronouns because I am running off so little sleep that scientists could run a case study on me. Rock on, LGBT+!!
Honestly, the fact Raine was acting the whole time gave me an idea. What if the reason Darius told Kikimora he didn’t need any help in Eda’s Requiem is because he had planned to let Raine go but Kikimora ruined that
I have two theories for Darius and Alador’s split. 1: They could have both had feelings for Odalia as it seems Darius has more animosity to Alador. 2: Alador could have been the Abomination Coven head instead of Darius and competition drove them apart.
I definitely think it could have something to do with Odalia. Honestly I thought they themselves were exs. Like they dated and had a bad break up. I dunno but sure is funny to imagine.
I think there’s a fifth glyph. In the beginning of the flash back Eda and Lilith said there are five humors to the Titan. Humors are also called flems, and Eda said that it was these flems that are responsible for the magic in a witches bile sack. So if flems = glyphs, then there is still one glyph left for Luz to find.
Two more things to point out: First, while yes, Faust did sell his soul to devil, he has studied most if not all types of scientific fields. He turned to magic in an attempt to figure out how the world works. Some Characteristics of Goethes Faust can be found in THOs Faust, like being a big know it all and narcissistic. I found that was aneat little nudge of the crew. Second, Raine whistled in their tea the first time we saw them drinking it. At the time it was just a little thing most didn't pay attention to, but now that we know what it means, it is cool to see this type of consistency and foreshadowing. Those little details is what makes the owl house just a great show to enjoy!
You know, Emperor Belos reminds me a lot of Faust. He was a scientist who turned to magic to further his studies, and he seemingly has some kind of agreement made with a larger-than-life, powerful horned being- the Titan.
I’m really worried Raine is going to try to replicate Eda’s curse effect from Eda’s requiem and sacrifice themself when the Unity day/Eclipse spell is happening to stop it without involving Eda.
It’s cool that when you go back to the Coven Day Parade episode, you can hear the same whistle when they drink the tea. That’s some excellent foreshadowing.
I wrote up this theory recently about Alador, Darius, & Odalia. Long and short is that Odalia convinced Alador to augment his Abominations with Tech. Darius thought it was a cheaters way to results and got good the old fashioned way. They became bitter rivals because of Odalia. That's why the Blights want Amity to beat him or take his Coven head role. "Proof" that working smarter is better than working harder.
Theory: Harvey and Gilbert's decision to have Willow study the abomination track instead of the plant track (along with Harvey being in the abomination coven) was likely heavily influenced by this experience, which I would imagine tainted their opinion of the plant coven, along with not wanting their daughter to serve under Terra (since they were around the same age as Darius, were skilled enough to both make it into the 'IFWOT' and one of them being in the abomination coven, they might even know Darius, despite neither of them going to hexside)... Wow, that was longer than I expected...
I think it's possible that they'll use King's old castle/nursery as a base before the day of unity and get at least one young witch from each track away from the Emperor. They'll need every type, making the multitrack kids from Hexside that much more important. They might be keys to stopping the plan.

I might have said this before on another video, but Darius gives me "bitter ex" vibes when it comes to Alador. I wouldn't be surprised if Odalia tried to drive a wedge between them out of jealousy. Or maybe Odalia and Alador's relationship was arranged/encouraged by their parents and Darius was left by the wayside.
I would like to point out that in this episode Eda and rain we’re put into different groups rain being put into the wild witches while Eda was put into the coven witches but in the future the swapped spots where Eda became a wild witch and rain a coven witch just wanted to point it out

I don't think Eda was ever expelled. She tried out for the emperor's coven which you cannot do if you expelled. I think she became a wild witch because of her curse.
I did get the vibe of Disney’s rushing to get owl house and amphibia to be over with sadly. But I love Raine basically tricked us all they weren’t brainwashed at all! I did notice how Raine shredded a tear when they told Eda to leave and when the solider came. Raine was putting on an act the whole time and how Darius is helping out Raine as well. The Titan has huge plans for us now guys!!!

Raine not wanting to get Eda involved may have been because Darius’s thinking is Eda’s curse could infect and destroy Belos’s spell, like how her curse infected the bard spell she and Raine played in Eda’s Requiem, but that would sacrifice Eda in the process which Raine doesn’t want to happen because they care too much about her. The Draining Spell is bound to use a technique based on the Basilisks’ magic draining ability, hence why Belos brought them back to study that ability. I feel also only the Coven witches will be affected by the Draining Spell, meaning covenless witches (i.e. those without a sigil) won’t be affected and retain their magic ability. They and glyph users will be the only ones able to stand up to Belos. It’s very likely Belos has been planning this Day of Unity for several decades now, slowly bringing together all the pieces like the portal door, teleportation spell, Basilisks’ magic draining (which led to the Coven sigil), and getting as many witches as possible into Covens and giving them a sigil, using scare tactics like ‘wild’ magic and punishing those who won’t join a coven with petrification. He has meticulously planned out this entire thing, and it’ll all come together with the eclipse.
I really happy to know that Raine isn't brainwashed by Terra's memory wiping tea, but I'm a bit sad that Raine is pushing Eda away from the rebellion to keep her and the rest of the Owl House family safe, I wonder how long that will that last before Eda and the rest of the team would be involved in the rebellion anyway?
We love an establishing independence and mutual respect with a partner ultimately leading to a healthier relationship moment (also I definitely think that moment will be Eda just showing up and kicking butt and rain just blushing the whole time)
Follies at the Coven Day Parade hits SO MUCH DIFFERENT NOW!!! Raine knew exactly what they were doing the whole time so pushing Eda away was even MORE painful for them than if they were brainwashed and had no memories of them rekindling their friendship. Holy cow what an episode

This episode makes Camilla’s character so much more impactful. Her begging Luz not to leave is so much sadder knowing how much she’s lost, and Luz is the only family she has left.
Guys, I just had a crazy thought….What if the Basilisks Belos has as prisoners are part of this draining spell? Because, I doubt if he’s keeping them for a personal zoo Or worst if my theory is correct, what if Vee is a vital part of the spell and Belos sends soldiers to retrieve her in the Human Realm where they capture Camila as leverage?
Interesting. My thinking is he studied the basilisk's magic draining ability to create his own method, apparently using the coven sigils. According to the draining spell, the magic from all the members of a coven will be channeled through that coven's leader into another spell, my guess a massive-scale version of the teleportation glyph Philip used. Such a glyph would likely require an insane amount of magic energy. Is it known how many basilisks Belos brought back? Vee and a few others escaped, but how many are still there? Cause if he brought back a lot of them, then hypothetically it could be to use them as part of the spell. It would seem his plan is to teleport the Titan's Head to Earth with all the witches of the Boiling Isles, the culmination of gathering everything he has done (learning glyph magic as Belos, the Coven system, the basilisks, the portal door, the eclipse, etc.). That makes me wonder how the Collector plays into all this. Are they the one that told Philip of the Day of Unity and all he had to do to make it happen? Has the Collector been pulling the strings, guiding Belos to make the Day of Unity happen as part of their own plan? Does Belos not realize what the Day of Unity will actually do? Is the Collector the true villain of the Boiling Isles?

@@Blitzo8390 yeah just the coven witches, and the whole ‘wild magic’ thing is very likely a term Belos created to scare witches into joining covens. ‘Wild magic’ is just magic. My theory is witches have access to all types of magic, but their coven sigil cuts off their access to all but the type their sigil represents. It also allows Belos to control them, paralyzing them like what happened to Raine. The Day of Unity will require a very large amount of magic, plus Belos wants to rid the Isles of ‘wild magic’ which means getting rid of magic, and so he wants all witches in covens for both those reasons, to power the spell and get rid of magic (like killing two birds with one stone). However, covenless witches wouldn’t be affected and would retain their magic ability, leaving them and glyph users to fight Belos. Glyphs get their magic from the Titan, so if the Titan’s on Earth then glyph magic will work there (probably only as long as they stay on the Titan). I just realized too, that Belos’s staff uses glyph magic, so by bringing the Titan to Earth he can return home but still retain his power.

@@Blitzo8390 King’s Tide is the S2 finale, and the synopsis is “The Day of Unity begins.” That seems to confirm my theory that S3 plays out like a 3-part finale similar to Weirdmageddon with a beginning, middle, and end, but with the Day of Unity. So all the coven witches would become powerless and possibly teleported to Earth along with the Titan head, leaving covenless witches back on the Boiling Isles (and no idea what the head disappearing would do to the Isles, if anything).
I loved this episode not only was it awesome to see how Eda and Raine met, but it was also kinda surprising to learn that Raine was faking being brainwashed the whole time, and it would seem that they have their own plans to take down Belos and the Emperor's coven!
The second Raine went from smiling to serious I was like 'YO! THIS DUDE IS A BADASS!" And also, I think Belos isn't just trying to bring the Titan to Earth, I think the "Day of Unity" Is going to Unite both the Boiling Isles and the Human Realm.
@@edizicu9853 I agree with Noah ! Belos wants to go home and we know the day of unity isn’t just about wild magic, but possibly all magic. The sketches or whatever he shows for the day of unity looks like just normal human infrastructure, I think belos is bound to the isles because the titan is keeping him alive, so now his last chance of going home is connecting the human realm to the isles. We also know the collector catches demons, i think them getting all the demons is their end of the bargain to help with the day of unity.

Well, we think he needs that door specifically, and in addition, why hasn't he returned yet, so we're thinking he needs the Day of Unity to activate the portal itself, then he can merge both worlds and return home
For the draining spell I'm guessing that's how belos is planning to drain all magic from the nine coven leaders and the citizens of the boiling isles for the day of unity And hunter being sacrificed must be a way that belos can pay for the titan
Maybe hunter is one of the ingredients for the grimwalker and so belos will sacrifice him for it and the grimwalker will absorb all the magic from the witches then belos will transfer his consciousness into the grimwalker
I have a potential theory for "The Owl House," could Luz (and humans in general) possibly be something of an amplifier for magic cast by witches? The reason I bring this up is because some of the most impressive feats (outside of Eda's) were performed with Luz either being directly involved or in close proximity to the spell being cast. Do you find this theory plausible or am I just finding something where there is nothing?
I think its just because Luz is the main character and she needs to be there when a greet deal of magic because she needs to see how greet magic is also the show littley follows her we don't see many powerful spells away from Luz because we aren't usually away from Luz when spells are being cast.
i think that everyone who doesnt have a coven (children) wil be part of the final fight cause they cannot be controlled, like eda maybe that why darius think eda can help cause he knows that given the moment, belos still have power over them and perhaps darius is is not the only spy along raine, maybe the beast head coven i also believe that steve will rebel
This episode ia great and raine wasn't brainwashed is great and I love seeing young eda and raine dancing just like lumity at grom so I hope raine will be ready to stop belos when the day of unity arrives!
Honestly, I was absolutely floored by the revelation of Rain faking it, and Darias being a full defector. I thought maybe head turn out to be more sympathetic to the cause, maybe, even having a seen were Hunter uses the bond the build to turn him. But I did not think he would be full spy. Which as someone mention below raises some question about Eberwolf. Besides seen as working together its worth noting that they both seemed to not like Kimikmora getting involved. I put that down to the toxic attitude fostered by Belos. But maybe its because they both are defectors hard to say. But if they are three heads going rouge, not to mention loosing his former top enforce, Lilith, Belos has got to revise his hiring policy. Or not, I like the results of the current one. But I guess what I really love about this is Rain not being the love interest in distress cliché. Beign captured has not taken away her agency.
I’m still sad Netflix did not pick this show up, I would have loved to seen the show kept the original designs, I won’t lie the show we got it’s not bad but, the forced into school plot line that Disney forced in, I’m honestly surprised we got a second season. Then we find the original beta version we wanted on patron with a rebranded name to the forgotten child, or a witch in training something to that affect.
I’m surprised u didn’t mention anything about the “door is being moved” comment on the note to Raine (seen just below the “owl lady” note on screen). Where is Belos moving the door to, why, and how? And what importance could that move hold for the coming episodes!? Will Luz and Eda find out about the door?
maybe there moving the portal door over to where the draining spell is taking place. if Belos wants to combine the human realm with the demon realm, With enough magic maybe it could power the rift to combine the two realms. especially since the portal door is the only way to the human realm
If follies at the coven day parade he said on the day of unity they would gather at the head of the isles and then all worthy would get a world free of wild magic, so I assume the door is being moved to the Head of the titan
@@Expl0ding_Starz good point, but maybe Raine will try to get a band of people together to try to intercept the move and Eda and Luz will catch sight while flying around casually and do their best to get the door back so Luz can go home or something Belos cant bring the boiling Isles to the human realm, that would spell disaster! Something must get in his way
I honestly think that the ending that the show is working towards with a character like Luz being the main character is that the Day of Unity WILL happen, but it won’t be the bad ending. Luz has found a home in the Boiling Isles, and we have a character like Vee finding a home in the human realm. The thing that makes The Owl House great is that it’s characters (especially the ones in the emperors coven) have complexities that reveal a more human side to them, while Belos suppresses that. Most of the characters, even ones loyal to Belos, don’t want the Day of Unity happen, they just want to have fun with magic. The ending I see is that the Titan will come to the human realm, which is the source of magic on the Isles, and Luz will spread her glyph magic with other humans while the habitants of the Boiling Isles will tear away from the coven system and begin to use magic as they please. Something that I haven’t seen mentioned is that Phillip Whitebane is from the 1600s, which is very much colonial America. Phillip / Belos is a colonist, and the idea of using native people to fulfill their own goals is not far out to him. Being back in the human realm, he will see that sort of mindset is very much obsolete.
The draining spell reminds me of Father’s initial plan to use the giant transmutation spell to take everyone’s souls from FMA. Edit: Well this aged well

I loved this episode. When the abomination came out with the spell diagram it brought me back to the beginning of “sport in the storm” while all the coven heads left Darius and Eber were the only ones in Velia chambers looking through maps/ parchment.
Someone mentioned in their video on this episode that they think the head of the construction coven is in on the rebellion aswell, since raine knocked on the brick and it was moved away, they also theorised that the head of the construction coven has tunnels all throughout the castle so that Darius could get his message out to the others in the resistance
That's a good theory, but I feel it's more likely that the area with the brick is a balcony of sorts, and Darius (that's the abomination coven leader btw) put the tiny abomination in a little space behind the brick, waiting for the signal to give the secret letter.
The thing that threw me the most with this episode, is that the Detention Pit is a He! And has a birthday and enjoys lime jello! I Think That Is Groundbreaking information! He is actually a faculty member and not just a random monster! Oh, and apparently power couples in this world always get awesome dances!
Maybe Raine's rhapsody plays when Eda and Rain first met and when the story ends because it's Eda's memory and the thought of those sweet events reminds her of Raine's rhapsody. And if that's the case, it's a sweet cute detail.
Yet another great episode. It was so nice to see how Eda and Raine met and that ending defiantly surprised me. Once again Dana does something unexpected, this is like the third time, first, we thought Vee was an evil doppelganger because of our genre-savviness but it turns out she was really sweet and not evil, then based on his first appearances we assumed Darius was at worst evil and at best a jerk but then we learn there a lot more three-dimensional than that and maybe even are working with Raine right now, and now here we assumed Raine was at least partially under the control of Terra and it would take the usual methods to break mind control trope we've seen in many other series, again we assumed what was going on based on genre-savviness but here they either broke out of the mind control on their own or were never under it to begin with. That makes Raine even cooler now, but it also shows how overconfident Terra is not only in the fact that she's using an inferior form of mind control compared to others but also in that she assumes it's working properly. This episode also shows how similar Terra is to Belos, she's just as bloodthirsty and was that way even 30 years ago in the flashback, she's overconfident like Belos with how he seems to think his plan will succeed despite how his Emperor has been falling apart around him over these last few episodes and based on this episode it might be possible that she's been the only Head of the Planet Coven, given her age it's very possible that she was appointed 50 years ago when Belos first assumed power if that's the case that she's been working with Belos for probably longer then anyone which is why he seems to trust her so much as seen back in Follies at the Coven Day Parade. If any of the other Coven Heads have been around since Belos rose to power then it would stand to reason they are completely loyal to him which is why he choose them as the Coven Heads, but with how much time has passed some of the originals have either died or are probably incapable of doing their duties anymore, and thus Belos has had to replace them with people who are not completely loyal and are acting against him like Raine and possible Darius. Once again, he's overconfident.
My favorite bit of this episode is the whistle thing, because if you look back at past episodes whenever raine is handed the mind washing potion, he always whistles into first before drinking, making the tear raine shed when he fought eda at the parade even more sad
One thing i notice from Eda's requiem is that when Eda, Raine and their team finished the mission of releasing wild witches, they passed the nine coven flags and returned their basement when dawn broke. i notice that the sunlight only shine bright the Abomination, Beast Keeping and Bard. I guess it hints that Darius, Eberwolf team up with Raine, which may confirm it in this episode
I like how Raine coopts the disintegration aspect of Eda's Requiem to destroy the note, just going to show how impressively intelligent they are as a witch to reconstruct a corrupted form of Bard magic at will.

Someone recently pointed out also in TOH Reddit that *Alador & Darius's rivalry may have started sooner than expected* , as someone pointed out the flashback of Eda turning into the Owl Beast for the first time, *a figure resembling Darius was seated far away from Alador & Odalia* (and even pointed out that Darius was on Eda's side while Alador & Odalia are on Lilith's side) 4. I theorize *IFWOT/HECK became the reason Eda began to appreciate wild witches and magic* 5. Someone commented on the uploaded clips that *Belos was doing an FMA* (the Führer's *Nationwide Transmutation Circle on Amestris* ) 6. I theorize *Terra Snapdragon is part of a group of wild witches who openly declared support for Belos's power grab* , resulting in two things: 6.1. she still exhibits "Savage Ages" behavior 6.2. leadership of the Plant Coven as Belos's reward
I got a few things I love about this episode -We see that darius and alador were friends -at 9:14 the one potions track hexside student is the only seen running away as they have no potions with them -9:41 I just realized that looks like swiss charde -10:39 raine offers eda apple blood, which we know eda loves from ep 2 -11:21 not only that but you can raine faintly whistle the first time raine has the tea -Terra getting eda into faust good books probably explains how she got away with so much between this episode and the start of the series -I realize that Darius and Eberwolf probably pair together becuase they're against belos and were the only 2 left in the castle at 'any sport in a storm' to find these plans. Had kikkimora not but in raine might've joined the secret club way easier
I thought they were just rubbing the tradgedy of rains brainwashing in oir face in the last scene but as soon as they whistled I yelled a YOOOOOO and nearly did laps. Then I nearly died when uts revealed hes not the only one rebelling. This episode is a BLESSING.
The fact Raine could do the whispering spell makes me so happy! The entire time we saw raine during the parade episode I was saying things like, “baby…no….” And “why did they have to do this to u?!” I’m so happy we’re seeing Raine working for the rebellion!
Honest. I love the fact that Eda wants to create chaos. Poor stress toy. But I had some theories about Raine and some to none were right. It's great to theorize about these episodes. Can't wait for the next.
I personally believe that terra snapdragon did have a child that being Willow unless I missed something like a post from Dana Terrace or a background detail in one of the episodes then I'm sticking with this theory my reasoning being we never see Willows mother she only has two dads and unless in the boiling isle men can give birth then it's most likely that they adopted Willow and if she was the daughter of the head of the plant coven it would make sense why she is so powerful.
It took me this video to realize Eda being a coven witch and Raine a wild witch is not just ironic, but the colours used were the same as their coven tracks.

Timeframes often get to me here; Camila said Luz's summer camp would be 3 months. Ep 4 is about a week after 1, 5's apparently the next day, 18's over a month later with 19 right after, and 20 a week and half. To me this feels like two months are up, but we later see Vee's already returned by Ep 23. Furthermore we see a calendar for Aug 22 last week only for a different one to appear in the same room. It'd be one thin if the Isles' month are just renamed from ours to sound more fleshy, but now they're said to have 40 days - actually aligning with the sort of calendar in Boscha's trophy room at the start of WILW. With the gap between Philip's time and Belos coming to power about 300 years, I'd think an elimination and history rewrite are certainly plausible. We still have the 'devastation from the Savage Ages' yet to explore and Philip/Belos could very well secretly be the cause of it. I'm seen some thoughts that Boscha could have two moms, while maybe not still impossible, I've seen the bespeckled one lacks eyelashes. Maybe another non-binary? Odalia's appearance here seems to further solidify my suspicions that she and the Clawthornes never really crossed paths. I enjoyed Bump here, though I'm left questioning if there was some retcon as he's shown in one of Eda's old record photos in Ep 9. Terra's a Coven Head here whilst Lilith, Darius and Raine were later editions. 'Wonder if we'll see a full generation for all Coven heads in future? Speaking of Lumity parallels, Luz last week actually aligns with the Raine flashbacks in KKKOHD, refusing to open about struggles leading to friction. I wonder if the restraints from those sigils is inspired from the magic draining of basilisks. Even before S2, I had a thought that the Basilisk attacks in The First Day may've been deliberate; now with Philip's hatred of witches and the Day of Unity being a potential genocide, this idea might hold up. Raine's tears a the end of the parade ep add further depth as Raine is lying by means of Eda's safety. Remember their previous encounter was just before Eda made her truce with the Owl Beast, thus Raine wouldn't know of her Harpy form - she didn't change when they next met - and fear she's not strong enough with her curse and no magic.
Fan theory!!! I think the three; Alidor, Darius and Odalia had the infamous love triangle! Of course, Darius loved Alidor but Alidor loved Odalia and of course after they get together and have kids, it left Darius alone. A little cliche as a theory but worth a shot in the dark!
Spoilers for the new episodes of OWL HOUSE!!! - - - - - - - - - You've been warned!!! - - - I'm just too excited and brimming with theories to not say this; So in the new episode we find out about Belos actually being a witch hunter, we know that to keep him from turning into a monster he needs palismans - what if the door needs to be made from palistrum tree wood to have sentience reason it has an eyeball and folds into a briefcase -crafty work- also from a previous episode we were talking about how Hunter and Eda are very similar - in the new eipsode in Belos' mind we see a memory of Philip's brother walking away from a burning buidling with a silhouette of a witch that have the similar features to Eda's family. I believe that they had family but in the end Belos killed his brother as he "betrayed" him for having a family with a witch- made a Grimwalker which I think is our version of an homunculus, and changed it so that the other Golden Guards have more witch like features to fool other witches, Belos is porbably no stranger to mutilating himself to make his ears pointed too as his ears are much smaller than other witches. Darius is seen being sad because he probably knew all along what happened to his mentor and hated what Belos was doing when he made Hunter. That's why he teamed up with Raine to help take down Belos. I honestly believe that the drainging spell will just push the magic into the human realm and that's when V comes in to help save the people there. After everything is said and done, I think they'll throw the portal door into one of those wormhole pools and younger Eda will find it in the past. It will be sad though, Luz having to choose the Daemon realm or the Human Realm. I hope she chooses the Daemon realm because she has friends and a life there, but I know the choice is much harder than it is for me.
If you see the episode where Rain appears brainewashed, you can hear they wisseling on the tea before drinking It, which it's a cool detail that shows how they where pretending the whole time throut the episode, which makes their fight with Eda even more sad

After watching "Elsewhere and Elsewhen", I remember Phillip Witterbane saying that it took him years to find all of the Glyphs and feels like that the island is trying to hide them from him, while with Luz she was able to find them without any problems within a month due to them appearing right around her, do you think maybe the Titan might actually be good this whole time and allowing Luz to find the Glyphs because they believe Luz is more worthy of learning magic due to her good hearted nature while Philip Witterbane is not due to his cold hearted nature against witches?
I am not sure if the titan is good or bad and also the mysterious collector, becuase see the mural symbolizing King's ancestor against fights the Dark Titan, i don't know who is the worst villain, Belos or titan or collector, we hope that arrives the other chapters very soon
Or there are two titans, two entities. In episode 'Echoes of the Past', the wall painting showed two creatures, one having the same bone head like King and the other one black creature, fighting between each other with a falling star or some astrological event in the background. What if who Belos is communicating is that black creature, that dark titan and Luz is getting a bit of help from the other one. Could also be a reason why Phillip/Belos body is corrupted, the dark titan corrupted him, taught him coursed/dark magic.
I don't know about good or bad, but that Belos didn't find all the glyphs might be, because the Titan is indeed not a Fan of him.

Hmmm, there's also that distorted voice from In-Between realm that appeared in "Yesterday's Lies", that just said "Noceda" after Vee was captured. Voice that may or may not gave her idea of trying to reach her mom for help... I saw many fans speculating how this voice may belong to the Titan himself, and I believe it supports this theory.
About the entire "dark titan" theory, I think it's on to something, especially when you consider that, in flashback Eda had in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door" from a perspective of the Owl Beast, we see Collector capturing the Owl Beast on the island that seems to have skull different to the one we see on the Boiling Isles.
Furthermore, I believe that remains of the creature that make up this island is the one we see on the mural, battling King's lookalike in "'Echoes of the Past". Both have longer snouts, compared to the Titan of Boiling Isles.
It could be that creators want to get us on false track, given this is just Owl Beast's memory of event that could be very different from what actually happened (also the reason why we don't see Collector's face). It would be fascinating If fauna of the Boilling Isles sees Titan skull as more animalistic, while witches and humans see it as more anthropomorphic, but I highly doubt it.
I'm also interested to see what is Collector's relation to the Titan, since the mirror that's crucial in getting into contact with Collector resides in Titans skull. Perhaps Collector somehow tricked Phillip into doing something that was beneficial just to them. Tho honestly, when we finally meet the Collector, I would love If it turned out they were just a huge cinnamon roll, or someone who is more rolled up rather then actually evil. As I stated before, we already saw characters being first introduced throw perspective of other character's memories, only to completely shatter our expectations, just like they did with Alador. The reason “owl lady” was the solution that Darius probably came up with, is because he (Darius) saw how Eda’s curse messed up all magic in the area of the music.
My guess is that Darius was suggesting that Eda may be able to “corrupt” the draining spell, which is why Raine said that they doesn’t want to put her in danger again. However, as far as we know, the coven leaders don’t know about the glyphs yet, including the two spies.

I have two theories for Darius and Alador’s split.
1: They could have both had feelings for Odalia as it seems Darius has more animosity to Alador.
2: Alador could have been the Abomination Coven head instead of Darius and competition drove them apart.

I think there’s a fifth glyph. In the beginning of the flash back Eda and Lilith said there are five humors to the Titan. Humors are also called flems, and Eda said that it was these flems that are responsible for the magic in a witches bile sack. So if flems = glyphs, then there is still one glyph left for Luz to find.

Two more things to point out:
First, while yes, Faust did sell his soul to devil, he has studied most if not all types of scientific fields. He turned to magic in an attempt to figure out how the world works. Some Characteristics of Goethes Faust can be found in THOs Faust, like being a big know it all and narcissistic. I found that was aneat little nudge of the crew.
Second, Raine whistled in their tea the first time we saw them drinking it. At the time it was just a little thing most didn't pay attention to, but now that we know what it means, it is cool to see this type of consistency and foreshadowing.
Those little details is what makes the owl house just a great show to enjoy!

It’s cool that when you go back to the Coven Day Parade episode, you can hear the same whistle when they drink the tea. That’s some excellent foreshadowing.
I wrote up this theory recently about Alador, Darius, & Odalia. Long and short is that Odalia convinced Alador to augment his Abominations with Tech. Darius thought it was a cheaters way to results and got good the old fashioned way. They became bitter rivals because of Odalia. That's why the Blights want Amity to beat him or take his Coven head role. "Proof" that working smarter is better than working harder.

Theory: Harvey and Gilbert's decision to have Willow study the abomination track instead of the plant track (along with Harvey being in the abomination coven) was likely heavily influenced by this experience, which I would imagine tainted their opinion of the plant coven, along with not wanting their daughter to serve under Terra (since they were around the same age as Darius, were skilled enough to both make it into the 'IFWOT' and one of them being in the abomination coven, they might even know Darius, despite neither of them going to hexside)...

I might have said this before on another video, but Darius gives me "bitter ex" vibes when it comes to Alador. I wouldn't be surprised if Odalia tried to drive a wedge between them out of jealousy. Raine not wanting to get Eda involved may have been because Darius’s thinking is Eda’s curse could infect and destroy Belos’s spell, like how her curse infected the bard spell she and Raine played in Eda’s Requiem, but that would sacrifice Eda in the process which Raine doesn’t want to happen because they care too much about her.
The Draining Spell is bound to use a technique based on the Basilisks’ magic draining ability, hence why Belos brought them back to study that ability. I feel also only the Coven witches will be affected by the Draining Spell, meaning covenless witches (i.e. those without a sigil) won’t be affected and retain their magic ability. They and glyph users will be the only ones able to stand up to Belos.
It’s very likely Belos has been planning this Day of Unity for several decades now, slowly bringing together all the pieces like the portal door, teleportation spell, Basilisks’ magic draining (which led to the Coven sigil), and getting as many witches as possible into Covens and giving them a sigil, using scare tactics like ‘wild’ magic and punishing those who won’t join a coven with petrification. He has meticulously planned out this entire thing, and it’ll all come together with the eclipse.
I really happy to know that Raine isn't brainwashed by Terra's memory wiping tea, but I'm a bit sad that Raine is pushing Eda away from the rebellion to keep her and the rest of the Owl House family safe, I wonder how long that will that last before Eda and the rest of the team would be involved in the rebellion anyway?
We love an establishing independence and mutual respect with a partner ultimately leading to a healthier relationship moment (also I definitely think that moment will be Eda just showing up and kicking butt and rain just blushing the whole time)

Interesting. My thinking is he studied the basilisk's magic draining ability to create his own method, apparently using the coven sigils. According to the draining spell, the magic from all the members of a coven will be channeled through that coven's leader into another spell, my guess a massive-scale version of the teleportation glyph Philip used. Such a glyph would likely require an insane amount of magic energy.
Is it known how many basilisks Belos brought back? Vee and a few others escaped, but how many are still there? Cause if he brought back a lot of them, then hypothetically it could be to use them as part of the spell.
It would seem his plan is to teleport the Titan's Head to Earth with all the witches of the Boiling Isles, the culmination of gathering everything he has done (learning glyph magic as Belos, the Coven system, the basilisks, the portal door, the eclipse, etc.). That makes me wonder how the Collector plays into all this. Are they the one that told Philip of the Day of Unity and all he had to do to make it happen? Has the Collector been pulling the strings, guiding Belos to make the Day of Unity happen as part of their own plan? Does Belos not realize what the Day of Unity will actually do? Is the Collector the true villain of the Boiling Isles?

@@Blitzo8390 yeah just the coven witches, and the whole ‘wild magic’ thing is very likely a term Belos created to scare witches into joining covens. ‘Wild magic’ is just magic.
My theory is witches have access to all types of magic, but their coven sigil cuts off their access to all but the type their sigil represents. It also allows Belos to control them, paralyzing them like what happened to Raine. The Day of Unity will require a very large amount of magic, plus Belos wants to rid the Isles of ‘wild magic’ which means getting rid of magic, and so he wants all witches in covens for both those reasons, to power the spell and get rid of magic (like killing two birds with one stone). However, covenless witches wouldn’t be affected and would retain their magic ability, leaving them and glyph users to fight Belos. Glyphs get their magic from the Titan, so if the Titan’s on Earth then glyph magic will work there (probably only as long as they stay on the Titan).
I just realized too, that Belos’s staff uses glyph magic, so by bringing the Titan to Earth he can return home but still retain his power.

@@Blitzo8390 King’s Tide is the S2 finale, and the synopsis is “The Day of Unity begins.” That seems to confirm my theory that S3 plays out like a 3-part finale similar to Weirdmageddon with a beginning, middle, and end, but with the Day of Unity. So all the coven witches would become powerless and possibly teleported to Earth along with the Titan head, leaving covenless witches back on the Boiling Isles (and no idea what the head disappearing would do to the Isles, if anything).
I loved this episode not only was it awesome to see how Eda and Raine met, but it was also kinda surprising to learn that Raine was faking being brainwashed the whole time, and it would seem that they have their own plans to take down Belos and the Emperor's coven!
And without costing eda.
The second Raine went from smiling to serious I was like 'YO! THIS DUDE IS A BADASS!" And also, I think Belos isn't just trying to bring the Titan to Earth, I think the "Day of Unity" Is going to Unite both the Boiling Isles and the Human Realm.

The sketches or whatever he shows for the day of unity looks like just normal human infrastructure, I think belos is bound to the isles because the titan is keeping him alive, so now his last chance of going home is connecting the human realm to the isles. We also know the collector catches demons, i think them getting all the demons is their end of the bargain to help with the day of unity.

I have a potential theory for "The Owl House," could Luz (and humans in general) possibly be something of an amplifier for magic cast by witches? The reason I bring this up is because some of the most impressive feats (outside of Eda's) were performed with Luz either being directly involved or in close proximity to the spell being cast. Do you find this theory plausible or am I just finding something where there is nothing?

Honestly, I was absolutely floored by the revelation of Rain faking it, and Darias being a full defector. I thought maybe head turn out to be more sympathetic to the cause, maybe, even having a seen were Hunter uses the bond the build to turn him. But I did not think he would be full spy. Which as someone mention below raises some question about Eberwolf. Besides seen as working together its worth noting that they both seemed to not like Kimikmora getting involved. I put that down to the toxic attitude fostered by Belos. But maybe its because they both are defectors hard to say. But if they are three heads going rouge, not to mention loosing his former top enforce, Lilith, Belos has got to revise his hiring policy. Or not, I like the results of the current one. But I guess what I really love about this is Rain not being the love interest in distress cliché. Beign captured has not taken away her agency.
I’m still sad Netflix did not pick this show up, I would have loved to seen the show kept the original designs, I won’t lie the show we got it’s not bad but, the forced into school plot line that Disney forced in, I’m honestly surprised we got a second season. Then we find the original beta version we wanted on patron with a rebranded name to the forgotten child, or a witch in training something to that affect.

maybe there moving the portal door over to where the draining spell is taking place. if Belos wants to combine the human realm with the demon realm, With enough magic maybe it could power the rift to combine the two realms. especially since the portal door is the only way to the human realm
If follies at the coven day parade he said on the day of unity they would gather at the head of the isles and then all worthy would get a world free of wild magic, so I assume the door is being moved to the Head of the titan

Belos cant bring the boiling Isles to the human realm, that would spell disaster! Something must get in his way
I honestly think that the ending that the show is working towards with a character like Luz being the main character is that the Day of Unity WILL happen, but it won’t be the bad ending. Luz has found a home in the Boiling Isles, and we have a character like Vee finding a home in the human realm. The thing that makes The Owl House great is that it’s characters (especially the ones in the emperors coven) have complexities that reveal a more human side to them, while Belos suppresses that. Most of the characters, even ones loyal to Belos, don’t want the Day of Unity happen, they just want to have fun with magic. The ending I see is that the Titan will come to the human realm, which is the source of magic on the Isles, and Luz will spread her glyph magic with other humans while the habitants of the Boiling Isles will tear away from the coven system and begin to use magic as they please.
Something that I haven’t seen mentioned is that Phillip Whitebane is from the 1600s, which is very much colonial America. Phillip / Belos is a colonist, and the idea of using native people to fulfill their own goals is not far out to him. Being back in the human realm, he will see that sort of mindset is very much obsolete.

One little detail I find interesting, Raine is put on the Wild team, and Eda, on the Coven team…the opposite paths they’d end up on in adulthood

I loved this episode. When the abomination came out with the spell diagram it brought me back to the beginning of “sport in the storm” while all the coven heads left Darius and Eber were the only ones in Velia chambers looking through maps/ parchment.
That moment with Raine had me go back to the other episodes and my god 🤣
Someone mentioned in their video on this episode that they think the head of the construction coven is in on the rebellion aswell, since raine knocked on the brick and it was moved away, they also theorised that the head of the construction coven has tunnels all throughout the castle so that Darius could get his message out to the others in the resistance
That's a good theory, but I feel it's more likely that the area with the brick is a balcony of sorts, and Darius (that's the abomination coven leader btw) put the tiny abomination in a little space behind the brick, waiting for the signal to give the secret letter.
The thing that threw me the most with this episode, is that the Detention Pit is a He! And has a birthday and enjoys lime jello! I Think That Is Groundbreaking information! He is actually a faculty member and not just a random monster! Oh, and apparently power couples in this world always get awesome dances!
Maybe Raine's rhapsody plays when Eda and Rain first met and when the story ends because it's Eda's memory and the thought of those sweet events reminds her of Raine's rhapsody. And if that's the case, it's a sweet cute detail.

Yet another great episode. It was so nice to see how Eda and Raine met and that ending defiantly surprised me. Once again Dana does something unexpected, this is like the third time, first, we thought Vee was an evil doppelganger because of our genre-savviness but it turns out she was really sweet and not evil, then based on his first appearances we assumed Darius was at worst evil and at best a jerk but then we learn there a lot more three-dimensional than that and maybe even are working with Raine right now, and now here we assumed Raine was at least partially under the control of Terra and it would take the usual methods to break mind control trope we've seen in many other series, again we assumed what was going on based on genre-savviness but here they either broke out of the mind control on their own or were never under it to begin with. That makes Raine even cooler now, but it also shows how overconfident Terra is not only in the fact that she's using an inferior form of mind control compared to others but also in that she assumes it's working properly. This episode also shows how similar Terra is to Belos, she's just as bloodthirsty and was that way even 30 years ago in the flashback, she's overconfident like Belos with how he seems to think his plan will succeed despite how his Emperor has been falling apart around him over these last few episodes and based on this episode it might be possible that she's been the only Head of the Planet Coven, given her age it's very possible that she was appointed 50 years ago when Belos first assumed power if that's the case that she's been working with Belos for probably longer then anyone which is why he seems to trust her so much as seen back in Follies at the Coven Day Parade. If any of the other Coven Heads have been around since Belos rose to power then it would stand to reason they are completely loyal to him which is why he choose them as the Coven Heads, but with how much time has passed some of the originals have either died or are probably incapable of doing their duties anymore, and thus Belos has had to replace them with people who are not completely loyal and are acting against him like Raine and possible Darius. Once again, he's overconfident.

My favorite bit of this episode is the whistle thing, because if you look back at past episodes whenever raine is handed the mind washing potion, he always whistles into first before drinking, making the tear raine shed when he fought eda at the parade even more sad

One thing i notice from Eda's requiem is that when Eda, Raine and their team finished the mission of releasing wild witches, they passed the nine coven flags and returned their basement when dawn broke. i notice that the sunlight only shine bright the Abomination, Beast Keeping and Bard. I guess it hints that Darius, Eberwolf team up with Raine, which may confirm it in this episode
I like how Raine coopts the disintegration aspect of Eda's Requiem to destroy the note, just going to show how impressively intelligent they are as a witch to reconstruct a corrupted form of Bard magic at will.

I thought they were just rubbing the tradgedy of rains brainwashing in oir face in the last scene but as soon as they whistled I yelled a YOOOOOO and nearly did laps. Then I nearly died when uts revealed hes not the only one rebelling. This episode is a BLESSING.

The fact Raine could do the whispering spell makes me so happy! The entire time we saw raine during the parade episode I was saying things like, “baby…no….” And “why did they have to do this to u?!” I’m so happy we’re seeing Raine working for the rebellion!

Honest. I love the fact that Eda wants to create chaos. Poor stress toy. But I had some theories about Raine and some to none were right. It's great to theorize about these episodes. Can't wait for the next.
I personally believe that terra snapdragon did have a child that being Willow unless I missed something like a post from Dana Terrace or a background detail in one of the episodes then I'm sticking with this theory my reasoning being we never see Willows mother she only has two dads and unless in the boiling isle men can give birth then it's most likely that they adopted Willow and if she was the daughter of the head of the plant coven it would make sense why she is so powerful.
It took me this video to realize Eda being a coven witch and Raine a wild witch is not just ironic, but the colours used were the same as their coven tracks.

Timeframes often get to me here; Camila said Luz's summer camp would be 3 months. Ep 4 is about a week after 1, 5's apparently the next day, 18's over a month later with 19 right after, and 20 a week and half. To me this feels like two months are up, but we later see Vee's already returned by Ep 23. Furthermore we see a calendar for Aug 22 last week only for a different one to appear in the same room. It'd be one thin if the Isles' month are just renamed from ours to sound more fleshy, but now they're said to have 40 days - actually aligning with the sort of calendar in Boscha's trophy room at the start of WILW.
With the gap between Philip's time and Belos coming to power about 300 years, I'd think an elimination and history rewrite are certainly plausible. We still have the 'devastation from the Savage Ages' yet to explore and Philip/Belos could very well secretly be the cause of it.
I'm seen some thoughts that Boscha could have two moms, while maybe not still impossible, I've seen the bespeckled one lacks eyelashes. Maybe another non-binary?
Odalia's appearance here seems to further solidify my suspicions that she and the Clawthornes never really crossed paths.
I enjoyed Bump here, though I'm left questioning if there was some retcon as he's shown in one of Eda's old record photos in Ep 9.
Terra's a Coven Head here whilst Lilith, Darius and Raine were later editions. 'Wonder if we'll see a full generation for all Coven heads in future?
Speaking of Lumity parallels, Luz last week actually aligns with the Raine flashbacks in KKKOHD, refusing to open about struggles leading to friction.
I wonder if the restraints from those sigils is inspired from the magic draining of basilisks. Even before S2, I had a thought that the Basilisk attacks in The First Day may've been deliberate; now with Philip's hatred of witches and the Day of Unity being a potential genocide, this idea might hold up.
Raine's tears a the end of the parade ep add further depth as Raine is lying by means of Eda's safety. Remember their previous encounter was just before Eda made her truce with the Owl Beast, thus Raine wouldn't know of her Harpy form - she didn't change when they next met - and fear she's not strong enough with her curse and no magic.

Fan theory!!! I think the three; Alidor, Darius and Odalia had the infamous love triangle! Of course, Darius loved Alidor but Alidor loved Odalia and of course after they get together and have kids, it left Darius alone. A little cliche as a theory but worth a shot in the dark!

I'm just too excited and brimming with theories to not say this;
So in the new episode we find out about Belos actually being a witch hunter, we know that to keep him from turning into a monster he needs palismans - what if the door needs to be made from palistrum tree wood to have sentience reason it has an eyeball and folds into a briefcase -crafty work- also from a previous episode we were talking about how Hunter and Eda are very similar - in the new eipsode in Belos' mind we see a memory of Philip's brother walking away from a burning buidling with a silhouette of a witch that have the similar features to Eda's family. I believe that they had family but in the end Belos killed his brother as he "betrayed" him for having a family with a witch- made a Grimwalker which I think is our version of an homunculus, and changed it so that the other Golden Guards have more witch like features to fool other witches, Belos is porbably no stranger to mutilating himself to make his ears pointed too as his ears are much smaller than other witches.
Darius is seen being sad because he probably knew all along what happened to his mentor and hated what Belos was doing when he made Hunter. That's why he teamed up with Raine to help take down Belos.
I honestly believe that the drainging spell will just push the magic into the human realm and that's when V comes in to help save the people there.
After everything is said and done, I think they'll throw the portal door into one of those wormhole pools and younger Eda will find it in the past. It will be sad though, Luz having to choose the Daemon realm or the Human Realm. I hope she chooses the Daemon realm because she has friends and a life there, but I know the choice is much harder than it is for me.

If you see the episode where Rain appears brainewashed, you can hear they wisseling on the tea before drinking It, which it's a cool detail that shows how they where pretending the whole time throut the episode, which makes their fight with Eda even more sad
