It’s not , I particularly dislike this disrespectful title for women. In Chinese cities, it is normal for people in their twenties not to get married, because after finishing college and then starting work, they are already in their twenties. In some remote rural areas, many people get married earlier, because they finished school very early, but they can’t get marriage under of 20. In the past, the national age limit was at least 22.
