Episode 65 of Miniature Railway Britain.
A fantastic evening at the Ruislip Lido Railway in the London Borough of Hillingdon which includes the cutting of the ribbon for the new island platform at Willow Lawn. We shall ride behind all the locomotives included Mad Bess and visiting steam locomotive, Exmoor Steam Railway built Christopher visiting from the Littlehampton Miniature Railway.

@@HenrysAdventures Thanks, It went on for 2 days but they didnt have a grand opening of the new platform it was sort of a depot open event on sunday.
Love this as it brings back memories of when I was young and my parents took me here. We visited many times. It ia a lovely place to visit.

This is a fantastic video Henry, thank you for posting! I was the Controller all evening, coordinating all the train movements over the radio system. As a result, I didn't get a chance to ride any of the trains but this video was brilliant to watch to see how it really all came together out on the line and how it looked. Glad you enjoyed it and we'll see you again soon! Matt

I first rode that railway in 1976. Many memories. I've not been there in 15 years and not been on a train for at least 20. I will take my daughter on my next return to England.

Indeed it was. He appears in some of my videos too. But with so many people there, it was impossible to get shots without people in.
