🔴What's the biggest drawback of the Lexus RX in your opinion?🤔 🏆Brandnew 2024 BMW X3 Stuns Everybody WATCH HERE 👉 ua-cam.com/video/S9aEtXZhY-4/v-deo.html
My RX is 13 years old. I did not buy it new though. It has been the greatest car. When I drive it, I feel like I'm driving on a pillow. What a smoooooth ride. Plus it has been 150% reliable. It always instantly starts and has never ever broke down. Thinking of upgrading and would definitely buy Lexus again. They're expensive but worth it!
I have a 2010 RX350. I've had it for 10 yrs. I do regular maintenance and the front struts were replaced. The absolute best vehicle I've ever had. I'm 75 and I believe it will outlast me!
I don’t get when you say about the gas mileage not being great. I looked up BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE350 and they both get worse MPG then the RX350 and the RX is far more reliable then the GLE. I will stick to my original plan of buying the RX
Yes, all the things you mention are true. However, all us Lexus owners know that already. We buy these cars because they are the BEST made vehicles in the world and always have been. Ride is luxurious. Comfort is exceptional. Power is fine in the base models and if you want more buy up. So am I ok with some of the "lacking" things like less HP than a BMW for example? Yes of course. My POS BMW is no less than $1000 every time I go into the BMW dealer. Never again with that brand.
@@paula4910 Yes, they all depreciate, just some faster than others. Compare Lexus to the German brands. You will just how much more expensive it is to own European. Depreciation is the biggest and generally hidden cost of owning any vehicle.
@MasaoJPN, the main reason is going from a V6 to a mediocre 4 cylinder turbo charge, plus the new one weights less than the 2022 V6 model, finally it requires 91 octane gasoline, whereas older model say from 2014-2022 are designed to work on 87 octane gas and they run smooth as silk, and the last reason, new models very expensive, more $$ than the much better crafted V6 models.
The 6 reasons given are nit noid based on my wants. I'm buying the RX F sport combustion engine model. May wait to the 2025's show up in dealerships. I don't care how fast it goes from 0 to 60. Just give me 4/50k warranty, a decent stero system, and I am happy. I'm not crazy about turbos, but doesn't today's 4 cylinder have more torque than its predecessor 6 cylinder, not that I care.
I have a 2023 RX350h, my first Lexus, love the style, luxury and fuel economy. I did not buy it expecting a performance SUV but one that had the level of tech and great ride. Got what I expected and what Lexus was selling. Not sure what the purpose of your review is? Cheers
There are 24 reasons why you should buy this car, if you can afford to, this is the most realible car brand in the entire world, and the base model comes with extras that you would have pay for on most other cars, it is not the car for you, if you want to race, but if you want to get where you're going in comfort, There is no other at the same price point. Oh and a New Lexus come with 10 years or 100,000 miles in the U.K. beat that if you can.
I have owned Lexus since 1989. It is true that parts of the RX have Toyota architecture - but that isn't a bad thing at all. I have 3 Lexus in my garage currently and will continue to do so because quality, reliability and resale. If you are considering buying a European luxury car like BMW be sure the visit the dealer's service center first. Ask how much an oil change costs? You will be shocked.
Just bought a Lexus RX 450h+. It is an unbelievably well made, high performance vehicle with great electric range. I’m getting 45 miles on a charge which covers my daily driving. The car is made in Japan and it shows by the high quality of the materials, fit, and finish. I was driving a Jaguar F Pace S which was faster than the Rx but the Rx has shorter braking distance and is more comfortable on trips. Highly recommend this vehicle. It is worth every penny and my gas bill has gone from $80-100 weekly to $10.
I live in the big city - as most of us do these days. I can only as fast as the car in front of me unless I want to be the boy racer that everyone laughs at.
I've owned many Lexus over the years. I drive a 2021RX now and like all of them, great products. You just can't beat it for an everyday driver. I have found the dealers to be excellent as well.
I purchased a ‘23 RX non hybrid for my wife (replacing her ‘19 ES350). I agree with the safety nannies pointed out here and is one of the main reasons I did not get the LX for myself. The mpg is solid on the non-hybrid (for a mid-size) calling it mediocre is a bit out of touch. Guess this reviewer will never own an SUV made before 2020, lol.
I have designed many things in my time. Designed the first garage mat on the planet, an order by bar code system for a parts ordering company, pull in by electronic guide wire to a charging station for a large Raymond Forklift, improved many companies. Suggested and had implemented to MyQ an auto garage door timer in their setting. Allowing a person to auto close their door at programmed time if one accidentally leaves their garage door open. I suggested 10 pm. They implemented 10 pm. People listen to me because they know U know what I am talking about. (If they are smart enough to understand)
In defense of Lexus I believe, while staying true to the origional concept, they offer just about every flavor RX buyers want. Beyond that buyers have from NX to RC to choose.
I am sure Toyota/Lexus would gladly give us the V6 or better yet an inline 6 cylinder if the Federal Government wasn't forcing the auto industry to raise their CAFE standards to unrealistic levels. Maybe with the change in government sanity will be restored.
I've owned many Lexus vehicles but I'm stuck with my 2022 Lexus rx450h because I cant or should say wont pay that kind of money for a 4 cylinder car. Please Lexus bring back the V6 Lexus RX back
It was the Biden administration that raised that CAFE standards to unrealistic levels that auto manufacturers can't meet unless they put pedals in. We all know EV's are a joke. The electricity to charge the batteries has to come from somewhere, and for most folks that is the local power plant and almost all produce copious quantities of green house gasses. They are not kidding anybody! EV's are a transitional product for that reason. I see hydrogen fuel cells that the eventual answer.
I have a 2020 RX450h and it has 308 HP and gets good mileage for its size, I love this car since it has a V6 3.5 Ltr engine. Unfortunately Toyota due to government regulations are forcing unrealistic emissions targets and Toyota had to bring in the 4 Cylinder Turbo engine which I don’t care about.
And we all agree with you. It's the "save the planet" people that want on bicycles and living in caves. I live in California (sorry folks) and can tell you that is exactly where we are headed.
you have something against the Lexus RX? these models are selling like hot cake, all we have to do is to go to dealer take a test drive and look at the specs, why should we have to listen to you, hello
Just get the non hybrid V6 version with the real auto trans. What you give up in many aspects you get back with longevity. My only problem is its price, but I'd rather get a used one than a truly overpriced European truck.
It was the Biden administration that imposed totally unrealistic CAFE standards on the vehicle manufacturers forcing them to drop what people want and give them what the government thinks we should have. End of discussion.

I personally want a boring ride. And you certainly can't knock the incredible resale value of the RX nor the industry leading reliability scores by truly authentic sources. And it isn't going to cost me close to $1,000 for an oil change like at the Porsche or BMW dealers. I know because I made those mistakes earlier in my life.
