You truly are a ray of sunshine. I can’t even remember when I started watching you. Must have been around 2010, and still I’m watching you from South Africa 😬😬😬YOU inspired me to start water painting. It is from you I have learnt LOVING this medium and play with colours and tricks. Just some feedback on the beautiful fruit you bore and still bears. Thank you so much.❤️💎

The granulating watercolor video was one of my favorite videos that you have done. I was watching it while making soup but have saved it to go back and paint along. For me, the subject matter was so compelling. I know how much time goes into editing so do what you feel is right. I just appreciate you sharing your talent with us.

Yep, loved the Queen Helene! I went to college in a small town, but we did have a Sally's Beauty Supply. Sally's was a terrific place for us cash-strapped college kids to shop as they gave us the same discount that licensed beauticians received. I remember lots of weekend dorm facials with that mint mask - many thanks for that lovely walk down memory lane!!

Ugh snow. There's no place left to put it! I have a 7ft high, 30ft long, 12ft wide mound in my front yard from clearing the driveway. One car is completely buried. I can walk straight off my front porch without using the stairs. And we still have flurries because we get lake effect snow as well.
You are right Lindsay. When I was a beginner the time lapse painting made me question my paint because I didn't have the experience logic in my brain yet enough to accept the real time apart from the time lapse. So real time is much more useful in cementing real observation and expectations until the experience level improves. It's less frustrating. Thanks Lindsay. Loved Queen Helene. 😁💜

Morning Lindsay, Ready to search out Queen Helene, a face mask sounds wonderful. I've had a good week. My 6 month check-up found me cancer free as I had a breast cancer diagnosis this summer, and each day now seems like a true blessing . In contrast my 17 year old kitty was diagnosed with kidney disease and he isn't doing well. Every day life certainly takes its toll. But you need to put on that smile and do what's right. You always bring a smile to my face each time I watch. Thanks Lindsay, have a good weekend!

Yep I like using brown paper to wrap gifts….. When I was in Mauritius 🇲🇺 I was given gifts wrapped in pretty fabrics and twine, which is nice and reusable…. Some were wrapped in big leaves, I think bananas leaves..,, I loved it…. Even tho I’m used to the frill of tearing into paper, the fabric made the gift opening feel more special…..

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who saves cool packaging. I always wondered how to store them, but your little basket ( or whatever it was) is a great idea. Oh and you mentioned Marden’s. I used to love that place when we lived there. I got some great deals and it was cool because you never knew what they would have. Ames was cool, too. It closed the first year we were there so at their closing sale, I bought a ton of their random envelopes left over from their greeting card displays( like Hallmark) and I still have some like 19 years later!!! Enjoyed todays chat. Have a great week.

Hey Lindsay! I loved the stickers you made and I actually think it’s fine that they need to be glued down. So does lots of ephemera. The fact ha that they’re at least tacky on the back. Means you can position them where you want and hopefully they won’t drift away before you have a chance to glue them down while figuring out how u want to layer them up. And the old circle stickers you used - Imagine how much time that saved versus die cutting and gel printing Them individually. And they came out beautifully

Since I grew up in BFE or nowhere Wisconsin, my, I used whatever I found in the refridgerator for masks and this is the first I have heard of this mask. I am in my 60's. Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Creme is my favorite "body butter". It's a bit oily, but feels sooo good on dry winter skin, and smells delicious.

HAPPY SATURDAY! The last time I got Queen Helene was at Sally Beauty or Walmart in a tub, but I've also gotten it on a tube.
Have you tried the Korean face masks? They're so nice at making your face feel dewy and rejuvenated. Lanaige (sp) makes a water mask and they have an overnight lip mask that is soooooo good.
Also, Old Navy active leggings with side pockets have made my life easier. I listen to podcasts so I need pockets for my phone. They're active so I feel like I'm not in jammies all day.

I totally reuse gift bags! And I save pretty packaging too but I have a bin in which I keep it in and I don’t allow myself to go beyond the bin. Funny that you don’t feel productive in leggings/jammies. I work from home and I always work in sweatpants or shorts. I like being comfy and when I’m comfy I am productive. I didn’t know about mud musks in high school lol. Bu t when I think mint julep ( I grew up in the South) I think garden parties with ladies in fancy hats and horse racing. And oh man the snow shoveling! I swear there is 5 feet of snow in my yard. It’s like we went from having hardly any snow for five years in Maine to getting those five years in two days. OK maybe I’m exaggerating but it’s been snowing a lot and I don’t want to snow blow or shovel anymore! Although the snow has been helping me keep my New Year’s resolution of getting more exercise. So there is that silver lining. One thing I noticed after entering my 40’s is that I have to make stretching and weight training a priority. The older I get the less fluid and loose I am. Maybe add some morning/evening stretching to your exercise routine and take frequent stretch breaks while you’re working. I’m at a computer 50 hours a week and I have carpal tunnel and if I didn’t stop and take stretch breaks my body would be a gnarled mess! Take care of yourself!

You have the mask ingredients in your cabinets. Oatmeal is perfect. I've lately seen recipes to cook it but there is no need. Let the oatmeal soak in milk for a little while. Pat it on and let it dry. Lay on your back for a mini face lift. Former Mary Kay consultant here lol. You can add honey or a number of ingredients but again there is really no need. Enjoy. And stay frugal.

I appreciate you asking, and even more you doing edited videos. I often wonder just how long making art takes. It's like the unreal aspirations of young girls with photo filters... I have watched too many sped up videos, making me feel stupidly slow when I paint. Watching real time painting is relaxing, and way more informative. If I want to see it faster, there is a speed it up tab in UA-cam.

Hi Lindsay! You look great as always and your hair is so pretty. I remember seeing Queen Helene products, but I don't remember what they were now. I remember we used to buy an almond scented shampoo at GNC and if I smell that scent it takes me back to high school. I haven't watched the 3 picture video yet, but it looks very pretty. I'll definitely pay attention to your editing. We got dumped on with snow again, but it came from a different direction. The drifts by our trucks were up to the door handles this time. It's sunny and sparkly today though. I've been saving address label stickers since forever trying to figure out a way to use them. I think I'll try inking out the name portion and use them to label other things. Some are really pretty. I know I have the kinds you used, too. Thanks for the fun Sat Chat and don't worry about less than stellar moods. We might lift you up like you do for us.

I watched limb after limb break and fall onto houses around me. Sure glad I had two giant oaks removed because they totally hung over my roof. Hate to see a tree cut down, but safety first. I made it through with power intact, but a lot of people are still without. So sorry for them with temps in the teens and 20s. Great Sat Chat Lindsay and I loved the Frugal Friday video. It was a lot of fun and provided some great ideas!

I love your singing, Blue is one of the greatest color on you, although you always look so cute. Radio Shack oh my gosh so much fun to look at the gadgets. Only time I bought anything there was for buying Christmas presents for those that were hard to shock for. Your skin is beautiful. I always have used Noxema to clean my face and the ponds face cream. It is what my Grandma used and she had the most beautiful skin I thought. I rarely put on makeup, never have been good at it, but I always put on lipstick. Cheap of course from Walmart and a lot of days a swipe of mascara. That is good. Dressing up is putting on blusher and maybe a bit of foundation. I always tell my husband he is lucky that I am low maintenance. I get my hair cut at Great Clips and tell them if has to be so super easy because I have no patience or talent to do anything with my hair.
COld days I always make bread of some kind. Nothing makes a house feel warm and cozy like a pot of broth simmering for soup and fresh bread baking. Have a great week.

Speaking of stickers.... I found these labels in the scrapbooking section of Hobby Lobby that are just perfect for little Altoid tin WC palettes. I make a ton of them because I'm obsessed with limited palettes, and they are so simple to store and use. They fit perfectly inside the colored border of the lid, covering all the branding and leaving you with a place to either decorate or write in. They come in several different styles including chalkboard, brown craft paper, floral, and gold lining. There are three sizes that fit different sized tins. The entire pad is about $4.

Hi, Lindsay. Happy Saturday. It was quite the week for me here his week. it was one of those "one disaster after another" weeks, although thankfully, nothing healthywise and nothing really major. Just putting out those little fires! (metaphorically) I wound up screwing up a painting at the very finish and having to do it entirely over from scratch. It was completely unsalvagable. I have to check out your label video. I was working on doing some taxes in between screwing up my projects and breaking things. (You know it is not a good week when doing the taxes are the highlight - right?) But at least I pushed the pile. I love your honey marker painting. I may try it in something other than markers, though. I remember the 'original' MUD mask (from the 80's). It was a brownish/green in color and dried like - well - mud on your face. I have a dry clay mask that you mix up, but it is quite drying. Even though I am a little older than you, my skin is still oily and it is nice to use but only once in a while. Anyway - I am hoping I got through my 'bumbles' for the next few weeks. I loved the smell of Coppertone. That brings back memories at the pool and beach. As always, I enjoy seeing you on Saturday mornings. I hope to visit at the Critique Club more this month. Thank you for all you do for us here and all the fun entertainment you share. I hope you have a fabulous week. :) I hope your shoulder feels better. Take care.
