Seeing a Base Camp Chris video drop in makes me feel just like I did as a kid when I’d get my 25 cent allowance and got to walk down to the drug store or the Five and Dime, to pick up a Superman or Flash comic book: pure excitement and joy. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I used to make fun of people who thought Bigfoot was real. I wouldn’t take them seriously as a human being just for saying they think it’s real. But this channel has changed my mind and humbled me. Thank you Chris for the great stories and sorry for anyone I’ve been rude to or made fun of for believing in Bigfoot. There’s just too many accounts of regular people seeing these things with the same details for decades. Thanks again for telling it in a way that is interesting and catches your attention. This is one of my favorite channels now
Why did you feel that you had the right to make fun of people for believing in something you didn't? What did you get out of that? Did it make you feel good or superior? Did you enjoy seeing people being laughed at?
Jenny and Steve, glad you survived that encounter. After relating my story to Chris and by consequence, my family, I've had friends share similar experiences. Thanks for coming out and sharing, and thank you Chris.
Why wouldn't they survive their encounter? These beings aren't inherently dangerous to humans and not any more of a threat than black bears. In 99% of encounters, the being walks away without incident. The being in this story was clearly exhibiting intimidation behavior to get them out of the area and nothing more.
Nothing more beautiful than the giant sequoia trees. And I just love that area around Crescent City California. Love the countryside in this state. So much beauty. It’s breathtaking!! Great story. Thanks, Chris.
My family and I like to spend weekends at the farm in Canoe BC, Canada. Most times, we gather around an early evening camp fire where we anxiously listen to your stories. Thank you Cris! You’re now an important part of our good times!
Chris, I look forward to your weekly uploads on Sunday. It's like my little weekly treat. I grab a cup of coffee, a throw and snuggle in for a real good mystery. I love the scenic hikes and you are such a great story teller. Keep retelling the strange, eerie and things that go bump in the night stories!
Im addicted to your stories. Just watching your videos I've learned a lot about Bigfoot and it's interaction with humans. And it's just another reason for me to not go camping, lol.
Wow Steve !! This story is really wild!!! I'm so on the fence about wanting to see Bigfoot and running for my life!!! Lol. I still don't think they would intentionally harm someone but are territorial . Throwing things is almost funny but freaky as well. I was looking at your shadow behind you and it looked like it could have been something. Lol. I look so forward to your stories every Sunday. Keep safe and keep those stories coming!!! ❤
Another great story, Chris! We camped in Gasquet a couple times and we had dinner at Patrick Creek Lodge - great food! It’s like a primeval forest there so I can only imagine what might be in those woods. We look forward to these uploads all week.
Another disturbing and gripping story, thanks, Chris. There's different reasons why I'm fascinated with these creatures. A couple of thoughts. They have cognitive ability. Who knows how much? They're dangerous. They don't keep me out of the woods. But then again, we basically live in the woods..😅, Remember, fear is the mind killer.
Years ago i talked to a camp host at the bigflat campground in that area. He went for a drive one day on a Six Rivers Natl. Forest service rd. He said he saw a tall skinny Sasquatch built like a basketball player making its way across a clear cut.
Hope you will still be setting up your winter camp site to tell more stories in. This was an extremely frightening event for that couple. I would have run back to the jeep the minute I knew something was not right. Thank you once again Chris!
This is the best part of the weekend, relaxing and hearing you weave a spooky yarn! Keep those sound effects coming, they crack me up sometimes and really make you feel part of the whole tale! You're the best!
Chris, you're become my Sunday PM ritual. I've hiked many times in the Sierra mts and love your hikes and stories. Keep them coming, winter will be here soon enough on the east coast 👍.
I just went thru that area this weekend, Hwy 199. The lodge at Patrick Creek came within a few hundred yards of no longer existing. The Smith River Complex fire darn near took it out. Glad it survived. Food, booze, snooze lol. That's what their sign says.
Hello good friend Chris. If they would have tried to just talk to it real nice, I think it would have understood and told them to kindly leave, they would have been okay😂😂 well anyhow Chris, it was a good one for sure and I sure do appreciate your stories about Bigfoot and bring on some Flying Saucer Stories too. Thanks buddy and catch you on the next one and God bless you owe and tell Jeanette that we want to see her and don't be shy😂❤❤❤
My favorite place to go is Del Norte Co. Crescent City, and have been going for more than 15 years. Have camped in Jedediah Smith forest. It’s a beautiful area. Would like to live there. Haven’t heard this before. It makes me ask the question. As their habitat is shrinking it makes sense they’re protecting their home. The tire is the puzzling piece. Deliberate? That’s a new level.
Wow, great terrifying story! I can't imagine what it was like trying to change that tire in a hurry and she had to sit and wait. So glad they're okay and congratulations on so many years of marriage! Thanks Chris, I get so excited when you release a new video! I settle in my cozy chair, usually after dark, to enjoy to the fullest!! 😃
Thanks Chris, I love your story telling and the fact you promote ale and craft beer too. My family and friends are also big fans of real ale here in Worcestershire, England. I look forward to the next one ,👍
I'm currently reading David Paulides Trival Bigfoot. On page 281 there is an account about the same area! Awesome and terrifying! We love and appreciate your work!
Oh my gosh , that was so frightening. That would be the worst thing!!! I'm sooooo glad they both survived to tell their story. That was too close for comfort!!!!
Very similar thing happened to us hiking near Mt. Shasta. We thought it was probably a cougar until it yelped like something we never heard before. Very unnerving.
Another spooky story. I like the way you tell them. I cannot imagine going hiking by myself in those wild places as you do though. I like staying in lodges and not staying too far off populated areas. Too many creepy people and unknowns out there.
I worked with the Forest Service in Gasquet a couple of seasons. Did some work on Patrick Creek -- the gabien project --- building something for fisheries dropping river rocks into a wire cage. Talk about fit and tanned. Spent the summer camped on the river about a quarter mile off of Hwy 199. Alas, no scary, spooky stories to share but it is the most beautiful place on earth that I know of.
Greetings Chris, big smile from New Zealand. Love that tree on the bottle label - looks like the Tree Of Life! Sorry you lost some of the beer in the eruption of froth! Thank you for my MONDAY scary story. 👏🏼🫣

Wow, Chris, you are such a good storyteller! I live in a heavily forested, rural area and was getting goose bumps listening to this story. With pitch black forest only 80 feet from my ground level computer room I was getting too nervous to continue listening, so retired at 10 PM, planning to resume listening in morning daylight when I could see the yard and forest beyond.
Chris, Bigfoot's shadow I noticed was On Your Face!!! I noticed right when you were reading that they turned the Jeep around and saw it in they're headlights. Then I kept watching it dance around, moving it's arms and turning this way and that way. It was so cool! .... Shadows! The light was just right 👍. Keep up the good work! Loved the story. Take care
These sasquatch are extremely territorial and it shouldn't be surprising given how destructive mankind can be. Great story I am glad that couple are still married. It was a heck of an anniversary for them.

Hi Chris, I am so thankful to have your website to turn to once a week. I love your storys! I have a ufo one that I will try to get together and send you. Thanks for taking the time for all of us to enjoy!
Chris, I need to send you an experience I had when I was 16 in Basin Bayou, Florida. Our family’s home was on Choctawhatchee Bay, Basin Bayou, Florida. It’s scary and I’ve never forgotten it, it’s been 47 years ago now, which I simply can’t believe, but it’s true.
That was a good story 😅 Scary thought that they know how to puncture tires. I’m sure that Sasquatch is still living there as they tend to stay in one large area.
Chris!!!! Love love love your stories! I’ve been a tattoo artist for 30 years and this is the greatest to play while I’m working on my clients! They are totally enthralled and it makes it much easier on me also! Thanks a million!! Super big fan!!!

Hey Chris, I’d like to see you do some more camping videos. The Bigfoot videos are also really cool to listen to but I miss your camping videos and history stories also.
Guys, never leave your ladies alone in the woods...
Keep on trekking and remember that we share the planet with many creatures
Agree
Is it okay to leave my mother in law in the woods? Sass wouldn’t have a chance.
These seem like mag dump / tracer round type experiences- crazy.
Plenty of us ladies camp alone..... Its not 1950 out there.

Why did you feel that you had the right to make fun of people for believing in something you didn't? What did you get out of that? Did it make you feel good or superior? Did you enjoy seeing people being laughed at?
Once you have an encounter you have your proof. I wouldn't wish an encounter on anyone.
