    1. I drive cars until they fall apart at the bolts. 2. I’m not a car guy. My wife and I live in Bend, OR and winter in Palm Springs, so my 2013 Murano does that drive twice a year in addition to normal driving. It’s at 226k miles and drives like the day I bought it, and we can stuff SO much into the back of it. I love my Murano.

      @CookieMonster_ I had to replace those…piston-like things that make the rear door go down when you just start to close it, $180. A few years ago there was a recall for something…I remember telling them I was grateful and impressed that they were recalling my 9yo car. Just a couple days ago I learned that Bend Nissan has closed its doors, so I’m not all that happy about that.

      Same, I have a 2014 at 150K now, still very solid, smooth and comfortable.
      I'd buy a 2024 in a heartbeat.. they made that V6 for 20 years now.. and the 3rd gen Murano for 10 years.
      Most of the bugs have been worked out.
      They are 40K today but a gently used one can be had for half of that. Great deal when used.

    Most people that drive SUV's have never raced an SUV before 😆 The Murano is the lightest and fastest SUV in a class of it's own!

    I purchased a 2014 Nissan Murano SL in May of 2014. I have had no accidents, no breakdowns and no safety concerns! My Silky-Girl is running wonderfully at 74,000 miles\15 years later; her only undesirables are the springs in the two front seat sunvisors and the sensor in the windshield cleaner reservoir is amuck.

    The sloping windshield has a very bad front blindside. Very scary when entering a major street. Other than that car is good. You get about 24 mpg with conservative driving. Handling is good.

    I mean it’s a nice SUV, but let’s be honest. The instrument cluster is dated. It should be digital. It should have a bigger dash display, and I’m surprised on the platinum model. There are no power folding outside mirrors. What is up with that?

We’re so close to 2025 to be forced to make a decision now seems like a mistake. Thanks for answering back. Is the new design gonna be electric??? I heard that’s what they are doing with the Maxima.

    I'm surprised you are so positive on this one Kevin. I took a 2019 for a test drive a few years ago and found it pretty terrible, rough ride, crappy interior, bad handling, bad acceleration etc. I actually asked the salesman if I could end the test drive early and he wouldn't let me, he forced me to drive that piece of crap for like 20 minutes!😂

    • @MeynMotorGroup

      I'm not surprised you had that experience drive 10 of these and all 10 will drive different from one another. I remember driving an RX 350 that felt like a Rolls Royce and 2 years later drove another RX that felt worse than a RAV4. Test drive everything thoroughly.

    man I remember when this Vehicle design was new. few years back. I like it alot at first. especially the interior. looks very nice. but the exterior got old very quick in my personal opinion. and you are 100% correct on the Warantee. I knew a coworker who 2018 bought Nissan rogue. I did try to convince them buying a certified used Toyota way better deal or even well maintained Toyota with high miles is better deal than a used Nissan rogue with less or lowe miles. they didn't listen . now they are experiancing problems one of them rear glass leaks water and it's already shows sings of rust. that is 2018. I own a 2012 Toyota zero rust. in the end I convinced them to at least warrantee the CVT transmission that thing still curse issues not resolved. and they did that thankfully.

      Lol I agree I think many of us liked the design at first but as you said it aged really bad and I can't stand to see this anymore. I think the problem most people have is they can't seem to understand the concept of equity. You're thinking 30k as if it's a sum of money you pay out of pocket but the reality is if you get vehicles like that at such a substantial discount, you end up paying next to nothing for it because you will eventually trade it in and recoup a substantial amount back this is why leasing is so powerful and why if you play the game right you can be in perpetual equity forever and not even pay for maintenance or repairs..ever. But sadly, not many can wrap their heads around this concept.

  • @devongee1776
    @devongee1776 8 місяців тому

    Odd that Nissan has let what is supposed to be most brand's best selling vehicle category, get so old and outdated. This was always touted as an SUV offering for the people that wanted Maxima's, but have kids larger than car seat age. Murana has been in dire need (as has the Maxima) for a new generation. The reason all these people are commenting that this car sucks, is because this is a 2015 car. Just one thats been given some makeup as it aged. Obviously, this means a 2024 Nissan Murano is going to feel 10 years behind in philosophy for the class. If you want this car and dont want it to be a shite experience... probably get the Ariya instead. Thats what I imagine a revisited Murano attempt would look like, and with the benefit of not being a shitty V6 mated to a shitty CVT.
