• C-SECTION SCAR MASSAGE...
⬇️ Why do I need to perform a scar massage?⬇️ ⠀
▪️Massage can help avoid the build-up of scar tissue. ⠀
▪️After a C-section, scar tissue forms underneath your skin all the way down to your uterus. ⠀
▪️This scar tissue is called adhesions. Adhesions can spread and stick to anything, not just the tissues they are trying to repair.⠀
▪️Bowel obstruction, pain, reproductive issues, and feelings of restriction can all be caused by scar tissue, so it is so important to address it early. ⠀
▪️Numbness after a C-section is caused by damage to the nerves in the tissues as they are cut through to bring your baby out. For some women, this can be a scary and uncomfortable feeling and a lot of women say they don’t feel connected to that part of their body anymore. However, as usual, your body will start to repair itself and new nerves can start to grow back and knit together again. ⠀
This massage is safe from 6 weeks post-surgery but always check with your healthcare provider first.

Hi, thanks for this, really informative. Will this help with the nerve damage?
You can start from 6 weeks post surgery, and also months & years after you have had surgery. Scar tissue builds up and even older scars benefit from scar massage x
If we can start from 6 weeks why do you say from 3 month? Thank you!
This is the second video
What about this massage during second pregnancy? There’s pain at the scar, how we can treat?
why i feel uneasy just by looking at this video... i have had c section 3 months ago bt dont feel comfortable doing this...i will do this maybe after an year...i have a little pain around the scar
I have a scar from a mole removal (about 7cm long) and I only felt comfortable massaging it after 4-5 months… so I get what you mean, C scar is so much bigger I wouldn’t feel comfortable applying pressure after 3 month
It's very normal to feel this way. Begin when you feel comfortable and ready. If you're nervous touching your scar, you can build up to direct massage by getting used to touching the area over your clothes, touching higher up your torso or gently running a clean, soft makeup brush over the area first to help desensitise it.
My c section scar is 4 years old and completely attached to my abdominal muscles. Can massage still help? Or would I need surgery to fix this?
I have constant lower back pain and I'm thinking the scar is the cause.
Scar massage is certainly beneficial for reducing muscle restriction, but you may be best off booking in with a trained physiotherapist for a Mummy MOT session. They can advise you on the best route forward. x
After how many months of surgery it’s able to massage
Hello, You can practice this from 3 months :)
@@naydayaskin after 3 months
Can you do it after a 10 years have passed…. Will it improve the scar
Yes absolutely, it's never too late to work on the appearance of your scar x
How does the massage help the scaring?
Massage breaks down the scar tissue, it flattens the scar, and can completely change the appearance if you keep it up xx
How often can you do this massage, everyday? Thans for the video 💗
Hi Anne, You can practice this massage every day from 3 months, the more often it's practiced the better, as long as you're comfortable with this :) x
It is useful. .?
Yes, definitely xx
What are the benefits of postpartum c section massage ?
There are many benefits of scar massage. It helps improve blood flow, to improve the scar's flexibility, drain excess fluid to reduce swelling and decreases numbness and soreness. Massage also helps prevent the build up of excess scar tissue internally, which if not managed, can make muscles stiff and weaker.
Can you also do this if you are fat and ugly? Or are you required by law to hide in a basement for the rest of your life?
