Thanks for watching! To learn everything you need to know about live streams to Twitch or UA-cam check this video out. ua-cam.com/video/zr15I9DsmBg/v-deo.html
I have seen up to six people on a live stream before with the faces and/or avatars before but I don't know what they used to do it. Not Zoom for sure. Any idea?
Glad I found you. Really needed help setting up my live streams to make them a touch more pro. 👍. Thank you brother.
So glad to help. Let me know if there is a process or feature you want me to cover in more detail. :-)
Great tutorial Michael, this is exactly what I needed for these times!!!
Awesome! Glad to be able to help.
This was amazing! I love how you literally covered everything including the overlay and the audio setup. Really appreciate it!
I am so glad to help. I did another video today that shows an alternative way to add guests in obs studio that is much higher quality audio. ua-cam.com/video/GnXxA01E-ZQ/v-deo.html
This is one of the best videos I've seen on the subject, thank you so much for doing this.
Glad to help.
This is THE most clear tutorial I have ever seen. THANK YOU.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!! This is exactly what I was looking for - THANK YOU!
Glad to be able to help!
I usually don’t comment and it may sound cliche but this is the first tutorial that had exactly what I needed & straight to the point! Thanks!
Glad to help!
Thanks for the video. Just to let you know, you could have used NDI plugin for OBS . Skype is NDI enabled so it would bring its own audio source in . No need for window capture and if you have multiple callers on the conference call each person is a separate NDI source which can be brought into OBS as such and placed in any location on your screen you want and resized. Each person will have their own NDI Mic... so no need for IshowU
Nice! Thanks I’ll have to check that out!
@@MichaelFeyrerJr you are welcome Sir.
SHOW IN VIDEO ...
I’ve actually done a couple videos where I show how to do ndi sources. Including this one here. ua-cam.com/video/GnXxA01E-ZQ/v-deo.html
Do you have an example of how to do this? I have a colleague who techno challenged in one city, and a second who is tech savvy in a second location and me in a 3rd city and we want to run a 3 person bi weekly stream. Thanks.
Thank you for this tutorial . It is something I have been wondering about (adding a separate guest feed) while have have been learning the basic aspects of OBS .
There are a bunch of follow up videos on this as well with easier solutions.
I have spent whole night on this and still can not do it properly. How genius you guys are !!!! Envy a lot
This is a tough way to do it. especially if you are still learning OBS. Try this. ua-cam.com/video/mVHrHRwxVnk/v-deo.html
This now my go-to channel for everything OBS. Thank you!
Its actually nice touch for layout guest on OBS stream, great setup! :)
Yeah most never show how to do the overlay. And if they do it’s not on a free app like pixlr x.
Thanks Michael for the tutorial and tips. Very helpful!
Awesome. Glad to help.
Thats awesome Michael. Now i know how to add audio of some one in the call. Thanks a lot.
Glad to help. Tomorrow I have another video coming out to give you a much higher quality audio source.
This is brilliant. Needed this info. Thank you.
So glad to help!
Thank you so much for mentioning the aggreate device nuance for MAC. I really couldn't figure it out.
It’s a cool tool for sure.
Wow! Been looking on how to do this! Thank you for making this video.
You are welcome.
Thank you for this video! I've been trying to figure this out for months and I was doing it right, I just needed to add hangouts or Skype lol. I had someone trying to charge me for this information. Tysm for this video!! *THANK YOU!!!!!* I subscribed! 🙋🏾♀️💯💎💝🌹🦄

Glad to help.

Glad to help!
the best video related to obs thank you bro, no one taught this thing on youtube THANK YOU !!
Glad to help.
Excellent tips Michael. Very well and detailed explanation. I am using Soundflower to remap the audio on my Mac. I will try this one to see the differences :)
I’ll have to check out sunflower.
This might solve the problem. Create a Multi-Output Device on the Audio Midi Setup.
iShowU = Soundflower, same application.

Awesome video thanks!! I'm just getting started with obs and this helps me a lot. I'm a dj and I want to host an mc for an event I'm having thanks again.
Sounds fun!
Love it, my next live stream will look super professional. It looks like the NDI plugin for Skype gets the audio source automatically. Thanks for the great tutorial.
It does. I have a few videos on how to set that up if you need help.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr The NDI plug-in seems to work great and is very easy. I love that you can pick the specific guest feed.
Great video. I was getting confused on this particular topic. Thanks so much for sharing. 😊
If the plan is to use Skype to add guests then ndi source is the best way to go. It eliminates the IshowU and aggregate device.
In this video I wanted to show a general overview for any video conferencing software.
Check out this video to get the walkthrough on setting up Skype specifically with the ndi plugin. ua-cam.com/video/GnXxA01E-ZQ/v-deo.html

Learned something new today. Thanks a lot
Always learning! Glad to help
Thanks Michael! That was awesome
Glad you enjoyed it Dave.
Very helpful video along with commend on NDI use. Enabled both in Skype and OBS, it captures both video and audio easily.
Great. Thank you Michael for this tutorial..

Glad to help
How did you make out?
thank you sir, i appreciate you and love you!
Thanks! Stay safe and keep learning. :-)
Thanks, sir Michael... amazing tutorial!!!
Thanks!
This looks interesting :) easy workaround. Notition; you don't need an app to create an aggregated audio device, you can do it in your Mac itself at your Audio/MIDI settings in your control panel.
Yes you can. You need the app to put in the aggregate device so you can broadcast the audio.
Awesome Tutorial! Thanks
Glad to help.
Very Clear sir. Thanks for the help!
Glad to help.
Very helpful!thanks for sharing your ideas here..
Glad to help.
6:18. Folks always tend to talk about "Mac" and "PC", yet Linux is an operating system, as well, used on PCs. I did manage to create the frame I needed, but had to stop when it came to adding the audio source of the guest, as it now excludes my operating system. I appreciate the help this has given me, though. Thank you.
Not a lot of people talk about Linux. :-) seriously though I don’t cover it because not a lot of people use it and most of the people who do are very savvy and can generally figure it out on their own. Hopefully it helped a bit. Once you are in obs it should all be basically the same.
Great job, thanks for sharing all this info
I’m glad it was helpful.
Thanks 🙏
Glad to help.
Perfect video, this is the one im looking thanks

This is cool. Thanks!!
Glad to help.
Great video and well explained. I just would've liked to know it was for Mac from the get-go. Not a Mac fan 🤣.
The process is exactly the same except the audio piece (it’s easier on pc) in obs.
Well Skype uses NDI so the audio is super easy too. NDI can be added in OBS. Thanks for the overlay.
I did a follow up showing the ndi add. But for those that want to use zoom or something. This is how to do it.
Thank you the is helpful
Glad to help. Thanks.
Very nice...thanks.
ohhh your soooo awesome thx for letting me know and btw your new subscribe :D
Thanks.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr NP^^ uncle
You are the only one who showed how to set up ishowu in OBS thanks
Yeah. That pesky audio no one seems to be able to figure out. :-) I am so glad to help.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr You have no idea. It took me 3 fuckin years to figure this shit out as I always get echo after following ishowu's stepbystep guide haha
Hey Michael. This video helped me so much for live streaming. If I wanted to do something like this but RECORD the videos to edit in Final Cut after would you do it in OBS? I'm checking your page to see if you have a video on this.
Tnx Michael. hi from Bolivia
Hello!
Great tutorial
Thanks!
When you set up the aggregate device, what device needs to be selected to input audio from Skype/FaceTime/Zoom, etc?
The master device is the IshowU capture device. Built in output is also selected.
Good one. Thank you
Glad to help!
Good toturia, I have some ideas, any way thanks for sharing this video, ❤️
Glad to help
Thanks I will be using that soon.
Great!
Good video man. The perils of using a mac. 😂
There are a few. :-)
Great tutorial Michael thank you. Question: if recording the podcast (not live streaming it), what would be the most efficient way to capture everything so in post-editing be able to switch from the dual screen (showing both guest and interviewer) to each individual when they are speaking? Just stretching the main video? Or is there a better way?
If it for a podcast you just need to grab the audio. It doesn’t matter what’s on the screen.
Love the haircut man 👍🏽
:-)
very informative lecture. i like it
Glad to hear that
Hey Michael, the video is awesome, helped me a lot starting a You-tube project to help students to learn English for free.
One doubt, when you add your camera to OBS studio, Skype or the other software por exemplo Facebook Room or Meet. Will the Skype be able to intercept your camera as well or you and your guest, will both use the UA-cam screen to see each other?
Thanks man. Love from India🇮🇳
Glad to help.
thank you for tutorial sharing
Cheers Michael!
Thanks.
WOw this was exactly what I needed to know! Who would have guessed that you need a WHOLE OTHER plug-in to get more audio into OBS from a mac lol! I'm using a mac and I was using Ecamm for streaming which is really easy to use, but not as customizable, and also it's $12 a month :( I got one donation with my last stream which was only a dollar, so I can't use Ecamm again till I get more donation haha! But thank you for this information! I had plugged my iPhone into OBS and was wondering why I couldn't get any sound from it.
I have a real treat for you. Check this video out here. :-). ua-cam.com/video/9VfHe6hwFGk/v-deo.html Your welcome.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr :-D PERFECT! TY!! and I subscribed to your channel!
Thanks! Glad to help.
Hey Micheal! I love your video it’s very helpful. I know this was done three years ago but I still think you could have done this under the same alternate solution if you have a Mac… I haven’t tried it yet, so please forgive me if I’m wrong. if you are using an L Gato microphone, which I highly recommend not only for the technology and their microphones, but the software that works with streamdeck as well and OBS is phenomenal. I am not a plant. Just a retired doctor. I think you can probably bring in multiple external audio sources and direct them to the stream output of your choice, but I am just learning. basically what I got from your video which was really well composed. Was you need a special PNG file to showcase your talent then, you bring them in via Skype or what about using just an iPhone FaceTime? Would that be even easier? Especially if you’re on a Mac?
Thank you for this tip sow much helpful to me Godbless always too you
I’m glad this helped! Sorry it’s a bit slow. I need to organize my files better. Lol.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr im watching all of important to video to you i have learn how to do now thank you and Godbless you more
Thanks for your tutorials. They are awesome.
I am having problems setting this up. My hunch is that I set up the aggregate device incorrectly.
I set the aggregate device to use the iShowU Audio Capture device first, and followed that with the In and Out for my microphone.
Is that correct?
Loopback and Audio Hijack from RogueAmoeba are awesome for mac. Makes it easy to get the audio right with multiple sources and apps.
There is a great ndi solution as well for Skype. Let’s you add each participant separate with their own audio. I did a video on that here.
ua-cam.com/video/GnXxA01E-ZQ/v-deo.html
This is great. I've just started live-streaming storytime at a local bookstore and been looking for a way to pipe in guests to the feed using OBS. One quick question that I didn't see listed in the video: what was the OBS > preference > audio set as?
All are disabled. We add the stuff we need into the scene manually.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr Thanks for the quick reply. Gotcha makes sense.
amazing video tahnk you. I try to do your tuto, and with NDI Skype too. On a macbook 2,9 Ghz I5 Bi Proc. and 8 Go Ram. On my mac the video of my guest was ok. But in my stream (twitch); it was an image by image movie, very slow.Do you think my problem come from my CPU ? or something else? And i have 30 sec lag with the chat, what is not easy to have Q&A with the guest. How can i correct that too. Thank you
