I have a 6.5 creebmore Ruger American. Three clips. Ruger sent me a new clip to replace jambing one. Three clips. I can get pointed leaded tips and pointed sharp synthetic casings to go through one.the other two jamb. None will except pointed copper tip. New clip plants last bullet straight into bottom of load ramp. Other two casing neck jambs on top of load ramp lip. Ruining tips of bullets. Clips are junk. Going through trouble of sending it to Ruger service department. If they send it back and same problems l want them to buy gun back. This is ridiculous. Rest of gun seems OK but if you can't keep it from jambing it is worthless.
Great follow up video. I’m so pleased to see the problem rectified. The flashing must have been keeping the front portion of the follower from fully elevating. It’s great to hear Ruger was happy to help you out and send you another mag. I hope you full length resize good brass with your 165 Noslers. That should help with the extraction issues. I know some of that older milsurp ammo can be a pain to cycle. That deep slush looked like it got the best of you at the end (staying humble as always). We enjoy and appreciate seeing the effort you go through up there to bring us these videos. Thanks for the video and keep them coming. Stay safe 😊 I’d also like to mention that I appreciate the good muzzle control when you fell. Atta boy!!
@@gunsgearoutdoorsalaska5875 I like Winchester brass for consistency in a fair priced brass. Nosler is great stuff as well as Norma. Sad part is that they are very proud of their product.
I'm glad you got that banger going. Having a firearm not function correctly is one of my pet peeves. I live in Pennsylvania and started planting my garden in mid May. If you plant a garden I'd be interested in a video on it since out climates are vastly different.
I am not going to plant anything this year because I work far from home in the summer, leaving tomorrow actually. Definitely different with our short growing seasons, I hope to do some more homestead type stuff in the coming years.
I have good luck with my American Predator .308. It's been a long while since I shot it. Good to know about cleaning the mag though incase I experience the same
Thanks for the follow up. Always good to provide due credit to great customer service
Your welcome, they were great!
Well at least you will have a spare mag now, ruger are easy to work with. Sorry I Laughed a bit on your spill at the end lol.
Haha, it was pretty funny. I am very pleased with Ruger.

They are not "clips" .
They are magazines.

Thanks! I may need to get some more brass, what brand do you think is the best and most consistent for the money?

@@rickurban9681 if a bear chews on you it's probably more costly than spending $10-20 extra to have twenty rounds of primo hunting brass
@@sasquatchrosefarts I agree, I use Nosler primarily. I do use Norma brass for my Weatherby’s.

Thanks Bill, me too.

Glad yours is treating you well.
Excellent information, thank you
Thanks, Glad it was helpful!
Maybe it will continue to improve.
I fixed my Ruger feeding issue and the poorly machined bolt, I sold it and bought a Tikka
I would have stopped shooting that junk ammo before something bad happens hard extraction is a sign of overpressure
Thanks!
Thanks a lot Mike!
I'm at Wasilla, where you at?
Fairbanks!
Can you use as is to hit 300+ yards?
Yup, probably could stretch it out a bit further but that is about as far as I feel comfortable shooting at an animal.
@@gunsgearoutdoorsalaska5875 Awesome. I’m pretty sold on this rifle as my first rifle/gun ever.
👍👍
I blame the snow on global warming.
Thanks for the update.
