Without a doubt beautiful car. Still, in 1992 I bought a new house in north Atlanta for $120,000. Today I still own that house and rent to my sister. House is worth $450,000. This Caddy will be half the price of its current $150,000 new price in three to four years. Invest in real estate or S&P 500 unless you are a billionaire.
That's huge! GM is having big issues with it's made in Mexico 6.2L V8 in every truck that it builds. Breaking crankshafts, valve breaking or sinking into the engine. Bottom end issues. No thanks until GM builds the 6.2L back in America.
@@polo3433 And they stopped producing the 6.2 here in the US to save money and kill off union jobs. I'm against unions, but believe that if you sell domestic cars in America and are a domestic automobile manufacturer, that you should USE American workers to produce your products.
@@polo3433 It is based on the LT1 Vette engine with different intake and cam. But is not the LT4. The SC 8s different and built from scratch. I was referring to the base Slade engine which is an LT1. The CT5 Blackwing based engine here has wet sump and a larger supercharger, different V train and stronger forged internals, larger intercooler WTS oil deliver and cooler gets. Personally, believe this is a 600hp engine that is downgraded from the ZR1s C7 SC 6.2L V8. Any engine that can pull a 6000 plus pound vehicle through the qtr mile in between 12.5 and 12.7 seconds is a 700 horse engine. I don't know how reliable that it is. The old CTC V LS9 is a reliable beast. More so than the Vette LT9 of that era, itself not as reliable as this motor which also uses thicker webbing for the block to strengthen it.
Mostly looks amazing other than 13 mpg on premium, and the maintenance - ouch. Also is loud exhaust and burbling really what luxury buyers want in a $150K SUV? Or ultra quiet and refined? I'm also surprised how dated that infotainment screen looks. Overall this has nothing on the electric version, the Cadillac Escalade IQ. Look it up.
Even leather will wear. So saying it will be good in 50 years is exaggerating. Even though definitely better than plastic crap in Rivian amd other vehicles.
Geezuz what a giant over priced SUV. In 12 months you will be $20k upside down it’s a GM. Tell me if this is a good value, we don’t care about roof rails🙄
In my opinion the federal government should ban 10+ stereo speaker systems from all new cars that have less than 9 seats to reduce cars weight, energy consumption, prices. 36 speakers means that this stereo system most likely does have 2 or 3 amplifiers to power all those speakers.
the 5.3/6.2 engines are built at GM Powertrain . Tonawanda, New York, has a stellar reputation for quality powertrains since 1938
Not the LT-1. Mexico now. Sources: car and driver and GM site.
@@bobdavis3357 will everything be all right and I know everything’s gonna be all right. Come when 235 get here we still will have gas cars.
It only costs marginally more than a pickup truck nowadays 🙂

LT4 is handmade in Bowling Green Kentucky, not Mexico.
@@polo3433 not according to Car and Driver. And it's an LT1 variant

If i were to buy this vehicle it would be weird having my tow vehicle having more power than my Racecar
I ordered the Chevy 25’ Suburban Duramax 😊 loaded to max cheaper than Cadillac version
Is that Cyprus Grey ?

A vehicle like this is never easy to park because f it’s size, again she is not being real.
The taillights are outdated
