- This has been posted in the past but I figured it would be cool to post a full playthrough with the normal intro song and as little deaths as possible (I died once). This is the earliest Until Dawn build I have personally seen. There are even files in this build that date back to 2008.

Game went through development hell.
Glad they did because Until Dawn is amazing. Feel they should have taken more time on The Quarry with the amount of glitches!
Just what I thought
I’m so glad they made the one we’ve got now. I’m sure this would be a good game but it’s not to the high scale of the main one. This one is like one of those forgettable indie games.
I mean the technological gap is huge. Excluding graphics and animations, the atmosphere and exploration still feels great. While it is less cinematic, this seems to help with the suspense of exploration more. So it could still have been a succes if it came out back then.
I remember seeing bits of this prototype ages ago and being so hype for it. It's insane to see how far they've come.
Damn, they made Jessica badass in this game.
K_Fox_K I think that, in the original, Jess was actually supposed to be a main character, alongside Mike, but it changed in the updated version - which is weird since it is so easy to slip up and kill her in the updated one.

@Milkyway2099 Actually, we have three. This version (2010), another one from 2012 and the one we have now (2015).
Could've been interesting to see how it would play out with only a killer and branching narratives, or maybe both a real killer and the wendigos.
Of course the VA isn't good and graphics and game play are choppy, but I believe if we got this story with the quality of the end product it would've been amazing.

@@Jekcll Yeah I can tell cause this person is saying how the characters could be similar but I don't really see it like Summer and Sam are not similar at all, if anything summer whining and stuff sounds like Ashely

I have concepts from the first version thanks to a friend who worked on this first version and by comparison to what I have they are each, since chrissie / Emily is the prototype of the 2012 ps3 move version, this version is from 2009- 2010 hannah is more ashley
@@Jekcll I'm talking about the appearance of the characters, in this version everything is very different! here there are no wendigos, here is only the murderer. I speak with proofs of concepts that I have, example belle, her character physically resembles Hannah and Beth in the 2012 version, on the Internet there is the concept of summer that is literal jessica

Actually gives strong Alan Wake vibes. That one is also from 2010 but had been announced years prior. Possible some inspiration was taken from pre release footage
