@@mullythebully5557 Yeah.. When you put an Ariana Grande song for an opening of a horror game it sets the tone of mediocrity 🤣. What happened ? It was a big success so they thought they’d make many titles to make more money… And of course this means less time for the writing, creation process and its trash.. The same greedy stupid garbage recipe Hollywood, Netflix and all the rest is doing basically..
@@mullythebully5557 I kinda liked the ending song because seeing dead bodies while an uplifting love song plays is so disturbing that it becomes funny.
Fun fact: this song is written in Hannah’s perspective. The song starts talking about freezing cold hands, she’s freezing in the mines. The pause happens as she changes into a wendigo. After the pause she identifies herself as death, and says that nothing will satisfy her but your soul. This song is super deep.
When I bought my ps4 this game was on sale for $10 on the Playstation store. I'd never heard of it. When this opening hit I knew I had stumbled onto something great. The song with the scenes just blew my mind. Best opening I've ever seen for a horror game!
Watched a let's play of this game and can't get the intro out of my head. I've heard the song before, but her voice is so beautiful it ads a whole new dynamic.
I grew up in an area that cold and snowy for more than half the year, and this always reminds me of nights in the dead of winter. We lived near the woods and there were stories of something called The Creeper that would take little kids away in the night if they wandered without an adult. I know now it was to teach us to never go alone in the forest, but that used to scare the shit out of me when I was younger. 😂
Goddamn, the haunting singing over the snow, the fade in, the imagery(the hourglass and the dreamcatcher, the gasmask and the flames in the mine, the asylum and the shot of the mountains reflected in the camera lens/saw blade get me excited every time.) The music strikes going in time with the metronome at the end is just epic. Way better imagery and music than the remaster.
"Out of the Shadows" isn't bad by any means - the whole intro is incredibly well put together, and the song is pretty good But O' Death is just so iconic, so synonymous with the story, that its' a weird feeling to not have included it!

@@wayfaring_stranger2215 Emily is the worst! Lmao!
This is so much more fitting than the heavy metal version they play for the Dark Pictures games
Thank’s… Much more unique, really fits the whole piece and really serve the ambiance.. Dark pictures is shitty to me
and gosh the quarry has awful music. what the hell happened.
Ahh this game is so fun to play~
When I bought my ps4 this game was on sale for $10 on the Playstation store. I'd never heard of it. When this opening hit I knew I had stumbled onto something great. The song with the scenes just blew my mind. Best opening I've ever seen for a horror game!
Watched a let's play of this game and can't get the intro out of my head. I've heard the song before, but her voice is so beautiful it ads a whole new dynamic.
most atmospheric game I ever played
THE best music of a game.
THANK YOU NEXUS MODS FOR ORIGINAL INTRO
modders are heroes
I grew up in an area that cold and snowy for more than half the year, and this always reminds me of nights in the dead of winter. We lived near the woods and there were stories of something called The Creeper that would take little kids away in the night if they wandered without an adult. I know now it was to teach us to never go alone in the forest, but that used to scare the shit out of me when I was younger. 😂
Goddamn, the haunting singing over the snow, the fade in, the imagery(the hourglass and the dreamcatcher, the gasmask and the flames in the mine, the asylum and the shot of the mountains reflected in the camera lens/saw blade get me excited every time.)
The music strikes going in time with the metronome at the end is just epic. Way better imagery and music than the remaster.
I'm so disappointed they changed this in the remake intro omfg
I always get chills when i watch this intro.
Best game intro ever
"Out of the Shadows" isn't bad by any means - the whole intro is incredibly well put together, and the song is pretty good
But O' Death is just so iconic, so synonymous with the story, that its' a weird feeling to not have included it!
This game is a masterpiece that will never get old. Every time I play it I’m always so entertained. The game makes you feel like you’re the characters trying to survive until dawn. It’s amazing and I wish that there was a sequel
Katlyn Dobransky there is it’s called man of madan
xclone jager it’s not really a sequel. It’s made by the same people, but it’s not a sequel. Thanks for telling me though
@@katlyndobransky2419 Man of medan is pretty much fucked up, choices almost doesn't matter, if you miss QTE you will die, the story is too short, dialogues is kinda awkard, everything looks lifeless..
Basically the developers haven't tested it and released, after finally testing it they already messed up, they realised what bullshit they've made, i thing they're going to remake man of medan, i mean seriously they have too, because man of medan is entry to dark pictures analogy series
@@cory9495 do you think hidden agenda is best?
@@nopainnogain3345 The best supermassive did was Until Dawn.. It's my opinion so don't hate me
When somebody asks what my favorite song is- “It’s complicated.”
They just announced a PC remake for this game.
best horror intro ever
UD was my 1st ps4 Game. When i Was 11 in 2015...nothing does feel the same now
Really well made intro to the game. Good song and the game was creepy. I like how you make those choices to shape the way the story plays out. Until dawn was a good horror survival game. Those wendigo creatures scared the crap out of me. I like the setting inside a cabin on a snowy mountain in the middle of the night.
Who has returned here following the official pc release announcement ?
Best game ever ! and the song is perfect. I love the sog
Hayden Panettiere - Sam
Peter Stormare - Dr.Hill
Brett Dalton - Mike
Rami Malek - Josh
Gladriel Stineman - Ashley
Noah Fleiss - Chris
Jordan Fisher - Matt
Nichole Bloom - Emily
Meghan Martin - Jessica
Ella Lentini - Hannah and Beth
You forgot about Larry Fessenden, who was the Flamethrower Guy
Fun fact: The guy who played 'Flamethrower guy' (Larry Fessenden) also co-wrote the script.
The song fits because she sings the perfect line for the story because Hannah and Beth fell and then after one year they came back after one year.
