- This is a fairly complete playthrough of the 2012 February Demo for Until Dawn. Obviously almost everything is different from the final version. Either way enjoy the video. :)

Wow, I'm glad that Supermassive Games decided to work on the storyline, characters, and graphics of Until Dawn, instead of just releasing the elements of the 2012 demo. I know that this version was just a demo, but, the Until Dawn 2015 trailer/demo was amazing compared to this version. The biggest change that I see is the personalities of the characters. Chris is literally the only one that looks and sounds the same. Sam is a total ditz in this version, instead of the brave, honest, and loyal person that she is in 2015 Until Dawn. Ashley also sounds more b*tchy in this version as well. However, I find it interesting that the layout of the lodge is almost the same as it was in the 2015 version, except its darker and scarier.
Actually Mike, Hannah, Beth and the Stranger do also sound the same, but this is because their actors (Noah, Brett, the twins actriz and Larry) are the only ones that played their characters in both versions of the game. Also Ash was supposed to be a drug addict that stalked the house hence why Matt say "did Ash get a bad act of smoking" in the pre order bonus if you find the cigarret

Chris is also super annoying in this version like he isn't even paying attention at all while Ash does everything. Idk why you said she seemed more bitchy, she didn't even say anything mean.

Sad thing since this version of the game you could do more stuft like puzzles and etc

Did you not like The Quarry? I haven’t dug too deep to see others opinions on it, but I thought it was pretty good. I think it had all the classic horror cliché down. The token black guy, the hot girl that’s a tease, the simp after the hot girl, & the kind of timid girl.
@@theguyfromwalgreens eh, it was ok. i felt like it was trying to be Until Dawn but if it was summer. the storyline is also pretty much the same, with monsters that are almost identical

I’m glad they took the time to do this on PS4. It’s cool to see Noah is still in the game. I can’t lie though, if there is a complete version of the PS3 version, I’d love to check it out. If anything to gain more appreciation for what we have.
Wow, amazing seeing that the framework and ideas are the same. Voice acting on Chris sounds like the same actor, though Ash sounds like someone else. I still think the PS4 version turned out great.
That's because I think Noah (Chris' actor), Brett (Mike's actor) and Hannah/Beth's actors were the only ones that were part of this version iirc?
Believe it or not...Ashley was designed to be a WHOLE different character! She was supposed to be a drug addict and in the final game where you and Chris look for Sam in the basement, the "ghost" you see guiding you was supposed to be only seen by ashley and that if she told chris and everyone they would think she was crazy since of the drug use!

The story in the 2012 version is the same as the final release. The version that had different characters and story was from 2010 and it was in first person.

Fantastic upload appreciate it so much but can I ask why you think this was February 2012? I am writing an article on this and hopefully can get some feedback from you. Will Byle creative director from Supermassive Games states that the game went from First Person to Third Person before it's jump to PS4. SuperMassive showed off the first person gameplay and trailer in October of 2012. So the third person build wasn't even in production at this time. Is it possible that this is a 2013 build? As there is also a leaked trophy list for this build stating 2013. Thanks for your time.
Actually this version was both first and third person like the final version if you get others videos from the 2012 version you see that Chris is first person in the first chapter but Sam part is in third also when he is going to play the game of the killer to free Josh it is in third, also on this video in Mike recap he is in first person.
@@Jekcll Yeah it is very strange. Possibly they were experimenting with different camera angles? I asked Will Byles one of the developers and he said there never was a third person on PS3? Which doesnt really help lol cause there is third person footage.
@@BSAArklay Yeah it doesn't help, but I think he was possibly refering to the protoypes (not this that is actually a beta) because those were in fact only first person only, on this Channel you can find one of them I think it will better explain what I mean, but yes it is strange guess we will have to search on others place to get more info
