You’ve done justice to this deceptively difficult piece! For years I tried to master this one, but it was MURDERING my left hand, till I finally gave up.
Yes it is a difficult piece for the left hand, but what you need to try is to relax the hand in between each chord change [ I think relax ] . Do not over press . Check out my Tutorial on how to play barre chords - this might help. ua-cam.com/video/OVXUju7ON0A/v-deo.html
Many thanks. Yes it can be hard on the left hand but the trick is to relax the hand after each chord or position change [ think relax ] . Many players over press on the barre chords also many guitars have a too high action at the nut. A well set up guitar helps with this piece.
Bravo, I tried to play that one in college,my left hand gave up,Always had a cramp and couldn't finish the study..After hearing you play it. I,m going to give it another go! thanks strong hands!

Very nice piece. I gotta tell you, on another video, I had commented that a friend was teaching me a bit of the guitar. I had lasted for a time until my fingers and wrists got sore and I quit. Seems all my life, most of the friends I had made, drawn to the personality type, we would become friends, most of those friends were musicians. Every place I had moved to, I made friends, come to find out, they played numerous instruments, mainly guitar. Many played in bands. Even today, I have a buddy who offered to teach me some guitar. Ha! Ironic isn't it? I can't seem to get away from the "musician's" group. This friend has many guitars and offered to allow me to borrow one and practice a bit. One thing I need to learn more of, I only know the bare basics from being in choir, is note reading. Gosh it feels like a long road ahead of me. LOL!!

Simon, I remember you mentioned in a comment that you wanted to do a tutorial on Vals [ Op.8 No.4 ] by Augustin Barrios Mangore. Is that happening? Also, I would love to see you do a tutorial on Concertino by J.K Mertz. Is that a possibility?
Yeah, you can say that again! It sounds so simple, yet there are - imho - so few really good recordings of it. Yours is definitley among those. I only wish the quality of your mice were better. Do you have a favourite recording? Mine is the Yepes for Deutsche Grammophon@@boltonguitarstudio3115

You should have ago even if you only strum a few chords.
Very nice Simon 😄A lovely piece
Glad you like it
I particularly like the demented 5th
near the climax.
Nothing like having a stretch at the climax.
An absolute sod to play. 👏

@@boltonguitarstudio3115 good advice. I always thought this would make a great framework for a song. Comparable to Schubert.
Yes you could write something.
