    its the best wood treatment
Looks like you milled your own lumber

It's always good to have more than one use for buildings when you first move to property. You can always put up more buildings for single use operations as time goes on. Thanks for watching. :)

One of my coop sides has a little door that opens to a "breezeway" to a side of my hoophouse where I have a low window I can open for the chickens. You can block a small area off to let them help you build compost year round if you want. I like the idea of giving them access during cold months. You can still block off an area to grow greens or cold weather crops.

They did really well in the greenhouse this last winter. Kinda changing things up this next year, fencing the yard so the chickens can free range and the dogs can protect them but they will be back in there next winter. Lots of stuff to build :)

@@KoalityofLife good plan! I only realized recently that it will probably be way too hot for them in there in the summer so I guess I get more growing room than I expected. Yay me! 😁

Shouldn't ya have the garden growing during the winter? Ain't that the reason for a greenhouse? I think you should just break down and go ahead and build em a coop...lol..Besides, you want to keep worms IN the grow beds.

They will get a coop, sooner or later, as soon as I clone myself. lol. I'm thinking its going to be to cold in the greenhouse to grow stuff in the middle of winter, could be wrong. I know it I will be able to start plants sooner in the spring in the greenhouse but for the few months that there is snow on the ground they can have it. lol. :)

Didn't I watch you build a little rocket mass heater a couple of years ago?...lol

@@HamishandKyloe Yep. I think the greenhouse is going to be the first full size rocket mass heater we build. We did learn a lot from building the first one. Should have better luck with the next one. :)
