I don't agree. This is a better finish. The iron bowl would have just gone to overtime if Lewis hadn't run the kick back. This one was an all or nothing out-of-nowhere play. The Kick-Six is overrated compared to this.
DJ -G sure, I see your point there, but Georgia playing auburn is one of the biggest games of every year, that’s historical, except the iron bowl was just a good ole fashion game.
I was so mad and sad about this. Got to meet Rob on my first year working in Auburn. Fell in love with the culture (still am). I drove down Shug all the time while I was living in mag studios. Heard all of the games with Rob. RIP my friend. You’ll be missed.

Somewhere out there is a diehard Auburn fan who has been a season ticket holder for years and rarely misses a home game, but for some reason couldn't make it to the Georgia game that year... or the Alabama game.
That was me and my dad. We were visiting my Cousins and Alabama and had Season Tickets. We didn't have enough confidence in Auburn even though we didn't have season tickets... So we didn't go...
We are season ticket holders and we were at both games. Amazing stuff. I actually had our tickets on Stubhub for the Iron Bowl and they didn't sell, so we went. Thank you, Lord!
***** In my experience, sporting events usually seem less exciting/dramatic in person, in comparison to watching them on television. But I'm pretty sure that the opposite was true for those two games.
I’m a Louisville fan and I even think the 2013 Auburn team was magical. Georgia game and Kick six in the same year. It should have ended with a Championship
My mom learned the rules and calls on football so that she could spend time with me watching football. She was unconscious in hospice when this game was played. I watched the game by her bedside. The nurse came in right before this play to check on her. I told her to hold on that we were watching the game. When this play happened, I swear that she smiled a little. A couple of weeks later I was watching the Kick Six Iron Bowl in the funeral home. These two games helped me get through a tough time. WDE Mom!

Rod Bramblett on the radio and Verne Lundquist on CBS have made great calls for both this play against UGA and the final play of the Iron Bowl this year.

How is this lucky?? The cornerback of Georgia #25 wanted to take all the glory and try to take it away from the other cornerback of Georgia that would've intercepted it but he went up and tipped it and Ricardo Louis caught it. No Luck. Just Stupid decision. WAR EAGLE
7 years later, I'm not even an Auburn fan. But I remember watching this game and came back today so watch the play again and I'm just about to cry. What a fucking game
I just realized, Nick Marshall had a wide open receiver on the post route and it would’ve been a first down. I’m glad he wasn’t a pocket passer cause he would’ve threw it to him, got the first down and probably not win the game.
I'll never forget this day as an alum. I was at a casino in Lake Charles playing Texas Holdem. Auburn got a big lead and I could see the TV really well from my seat at the poker table. So I was kind of watching the game and kind of focusing on poker at the same time. I was winning big...I actually flopped a straight flush, got plenty of action, and won a huge pot, so I started to lose focus on the AU game. Later on, I look up and UGA is back in the game and takes the lead late. However, I was still very confident because Auburn's offense had played great all year, and all they needed was a FG. But when it was 4th and seventeen, I really did lose hope. I knew Nick Marshall was not really an accurate passer...he was a great runner and very smart, but kind of hit or miss on precision throws. So when he threw the winning pass and it was in the air l, I was like, what are you doing? You could see 88 running wide open around midfield, and there were 3 guys covering Louis. But nevertheless, the ball somehow bounced into his hands. I literally screamed, and everyone at the poker table turned to look at me. I'll never forget the face of the lady sitting across from me, she literally recoiled as I basically yelled into her face. I felt terrible and was apologetic, but I had to get up. It was a very lucky play. One of the best in Auburn history. And to think it would be outdone the very next week.
I'm not a Fan.. But I think Auburn is a Mystical Football College Team....these Football plays are the Best in History.... period....Case Close..9 years.later...We are Still looking at This 👍🙏
the reason the georgia defenders didnt knock the ball down because interceptions look better on your resume than knock down passes when your trying to make an nfl roster. but a miscue of an intercepting that leads to a td and a loss will kill your chances. WDE

Yes, Murray got knocked out of his shoes on that play: Auburn outplayed them the entire game, until Murray brought them back. I'm an Auburn fan who has always respected Georgia, and for good reason; interesting that Ford and Murray are now teammates in K.C., and I wish them both well.
I go back and forth between which play was crazier, this or the iron bowl On one hand the iron bowl is against alabama and it was completely unexpected. But if the kick sails wide and harmlessly goes out of bounds, auburn can still win in OT. If this play isn't made Auburn doesn't make the natty

Greatest Miracle of collage football...till about 2 weeks
Arguably the greatest regular season of Auburn football. The Camback was incredible but this and the Kick Six in one season... man!
That ball was on its way to being intercepted but #25 knocks it right out of his own teammates arms - wow.
And then continues to throw a tantrum as if it was someone else lol
Yeah such an awful play by 25. I wish I could see the other DB's reaction. I wouldve been absolutely livid

Underrated part of the play: Nick Marshall threw that ball 60 yards like it was nothing.
That hit on Murry at the end by the Ford truck was THE most beautiful work of art - at the most perfect time - I’ve ever seen in football.
