Just curious how would you do this? 11x^2 +88x+99=0. Square root 255-81. These were on the exam.
@@claudettetownsend4569 You could plug that into y= (Table) in the calculator, switch it from Auto to Ask, then type in each x answer to see if it makes it 0 or not. It's a bit complicated!
You could also plug into the quadratic formula changing a to 11, b to 88 and c to 99.

I went to high school out of the US, now I have to take the GED. I didn’t passed this first time that I tried it, I got a 143 and needed minimum 145
I even had the calculator on me but I wasn’t aware that this trinket can actually do so much work for you 😂. I hope I’ll pass it this time. Thank you for the content!

So I'm having trouble with the 1st problem. I am following along with you on the calculator however, when I enter y with the fraction x-4 and hit enter I noticed your start has the number 4 and mine had the number 3 so when I hit enter 5 times I am getting a different answer
Hey there! For that one, did you use the - sign on the right side of the calculator? 1/2•x - 4
It might have gotten messed up if you were using the white negative there. Let me know if that helps!
What happens if there’s only one number in front of a letter? Like 7x-y=7? What would you do?
I’m working on a video today to address that actually! But you could add y to the right side, subtract 7 to the left to get:
7x - 7 = y
Then you could type it in like that. Let me know if that helps!

Hello teacher ! I have a confusion 🫣 I was reviewing the GED questions that are free and I found this question and the answer they give.
1). The question says, What is the slope of the line represented by the equation?
3x + 3y = 8
"response" appearing...

Hey Claudia! A good example for that one would be at 3:33 in this video:

You'll want to get y by itself for this one"
3x + 3y = 8
Subtract 3x from both sides:
3y = 8 - 3x
Divide both sides by 3:
y = 8/3 - 3/8•x
And the slope is whatever is next to x, so -3/8 should be the slope here. I hope that helps!

What to do if y = 4 in the answer's?
You can type that into the y = , so y = 4 and it’ll work just like the other ones 👍🏼
I haven't paid attention to math at all in school, idk how I'm gonna understand this
This is a harder concept to start with, for sure. But if you start with Plotting points, Distance on a number line, etc you can always come back to this topic!

Im so mad because i got alot of these on my test and when i did how you explain to put them in the calculator it was giving me and error
Dang! There’s a reset button that can clear some presets if it’s not working. Sorry that wasn’t working!
Sometimes it’s an issue with the negative vs the minus button. If you buy that calculator want to double check the steps, I have some practice to make sure it works next time!
