I can't hit fraction, how can I move flash to X=0, then I can hit 2, n/d, 3 ?
@@joyceyang2922 If you don't have a fraction button, a division button would work too. If you have a different calculator without a table button, this technique may not work though
This is a game changer! Literally! I took the GED math test a couple of months ago and failed by 1 point. I’ve been watching every video I could find on UA-cam for test prep. This was the one that helped me finally pass my math test yesterday! I finally have my GED and I truly believe it was because of the 5 or so videos of yours that I watched a few days ago before I took the test. I can’t thank you enough for this info!! It changed my life! Use your calculator people!!! It could make a huge difference in your test score and save you so much time!!

I discovered that using the plug in method, one can technically solve almost ANY math problem on the GED or any other math test. Of course, I plan to maintain the OG Method but this discovery, for is anyway, shines a major light. I haven’t taken my test just yet, but the 9th is the day I take the W home if this technique, and what I’ve learned so far are right. It’s seriously empowering to use the plug in method even though this video isn’t about that necessarily and it’s so cool to use table and find these solution sets!
Exactly! It simplifies math a lot to know that equations are just variations of values being plugged into them: E = mc^2, y = mx + b, they all do the same thing!

After failing the math test 5 times this year .. this is the video that I was missing . These videos are rabbit holes if you don’t know what you got wrong on the actual test . Unlike in school the testing company won’t show you what you got wrong so it’s a scramble to absorb all the different types of math students learn in school . I was out to work full time by the 9th grade . Missed a lot of idle school having to work for family to help them establish themselves in this country .
Where did your family come from? How are they all doing now? Exactly, they make you pay for tests and then don’t explain any of the answers or concepts, so annoying 🙈 So did you end up passing?!
@@GetSumMath they are for Brazil and Mexico . And no I did not pass the 5th time . I did find a video on how to solve quadratic equations with the calculator. It’s all just been a learning curve . I’m almost 50 so many years of labor working . Trying to get the ged before I die so my people know that I was trying . Paying the corporate and rich to survive had not made them more comfortable and me more desperate to eventual thrive .. I’ll be honest I’ve never been on a vacation . The two jobs I’ve had that gave me vacation time wouldn’t pay me for the time off so I had to find part time work to keep up with the inflation of bills . I’ve never filed for bankruptcy cause I’ve never had a line of credit or credit card as they are called . I don’t own anything vehicle or home . So this is why I’m still trying to get over the edge of the cup I’ve been living in . Poverty sucks and so do most of the people I’m surrounded by . Im guessing that’s why the rich only hang out with themselves..

5:08 this problem has two valid answers,
x = -2
x = 10/3
But x = -2 is the only answer available so I can only choose that.
My calculator was empty and new and I was lost the first time and failed the test because of this video however I passed the next time because of this video

Hey. Do you know how to clear stored variables on a TI 30xs multiview quickly? or do I have to just input all the variables to zero again
Good question - hit the 2nd button followed by the x button. It will ask "Clear Var?" Then Enter to say yes. Let me know if that works!

Will this work for all quadratics? Or should i keep using the quadratic formula.
As long as it's a multiple choice, it'll work! But, of course, if you feel comfortable using the quadratic formula, that'll always work too!
I can't seem to get the numbers 3 and 5 on display like its shown in your video and I use the exact same calculator your using in the video (TI-30XS MultiView) I also have it selected to "auto"

@@GetSumMath For the first question I got tables 2,4,6, and 8 for x (so on) and for y tables I got -6,0,14, and 36 (so on) everything is the same except 3 and 5 are missing
@@user-jw9nc5de2u Ah it seems like your table only shows "even" x values for some reason, not "odd" x's like 3 and 5. I'm not sure why it isn't showing the odd x's!
My calculator (ti-30xs multi view) doesn't display all the numbers shown on your video?? It only shows -1 and 0?? help please!!
Once you type in your y = equation, hit Enter once and then switch from "Ask-x" to "Auto". Let me know if that works!

If I typed wrong number how to clear or change to the right one? (which key).Another question is I didn't type wrong, but START=3, sometimes START=1, how can I know it made mistakes? and how to revise it?
If you press the DEL button, it will only delete one thing at a time. The start will always start at wherever number you last left off, but it won’t mess up the answers, so you don’t have to worry where it starts 👍🏼
@@GetSumMath I have TI-30XS calculator with me, but I can't catch up with your speed in speaking English, and made some typos. I'm anxious as well. My roommate came to help me out and pointed out my operation in mistake, I need to press ASK-X instead of AUTO. Thank you so much for your respond.

Hello I was wondering how do I get my second answer I’m taking a practice paper test my equation is 2x^2-7x=-6 with your video I got that one of my answers is two but what’s the second one?

No it gives me two boxes to write two answers in
@@claracajuste6412 Unfortunately, if both answers aren't there, you'll have to do it using the quadratic formula. Here's a video how to get the two answers that way:

You'll have to get the -6 over to the left, which flips it to +6:
2x^2 - 7x + 6 = 0
a = 2 b = -7 c = 6
Plugging into the quadratic formula an simplifying, you'll get your two answers!
x = 2, x = 3/2
I know that's complicated, but hope that helps!

After I press enter 5 times I only get answers for like 2 numbers how do I get the whole table
It should show them all if you hit Enter just once, scroll down and switch from “ask” to “auto” and then it should show them all! Let me know if that works 👍🏼
