I think Exploring Series has a video on it; don't remember which article it came from, but it did happen in at least one of the timelines in the setting.
But at the end of the day, neither organisation is perfect, and the GOC do have some valid points - some anomalies are just far too dangerous to try and keep locked up, because they will or already have breached containment and killed a ton of people. The Foundation also tends to go to them for help when trying to figure out how to reduce something into nothingness.
The Foundation is also very capable of making misguided decisions that cause all hell to break loose, sometimes very literally.

@@MasterGhostf I'm still of the opinion that that the SCP-396 is an intentional SCP propaganda hit piece against the GOC. There might be another side to the story from the GOC we haven't heard.
Like for SCP-1522 (the two ships that the GOC destroyed: apparently (I haven't found it, just saw a mention) there was a tale that the GOC attempted to contact the Foundation for containment but received no answer and the ships broke containment, resulting in the attack by the GOC.
Of course, we all know there is no SCP canon.
@@RockyX123I like to think that incident maybe taught the GOC to tone it down a bit, which then led them to accept some completely safe anomalies and utilize some that seemed useful to take out the remaining types of anomalies they deemed too dangerous or uncontrollable. So like, they’ll totally still interrupt a ritual to try and stop whatever scary thing it’s supposed to do, but if it’s a statue that farts every ten minutes they don’t really care what happens to it as long as it’s not out in the open.

@@RockyX123 Technically the Foundation doesn't tell the whole truth about that story. It was a independent GOC operative that threw it in the woodchipper. However I am still of the believe that containment and research is preferential to kill.

@@koroplays3200 I do the same mostly. But originally it wasn't a thing he did at all and it used to be just pictures. Then he tried doing just the vocalized effect with no pictures. Now he is doing both as you see now after some feedback from the community.
GOC finally getting their moment.
This is actually a great example of the GOC being right when it comes to believing certain anomalies should be destroyed.
SCP-2664, prior to 2017, was a human-sized mallard that people perceive as the late Gilbert Gottfried (written by the same author of this article). It wasn't well received, and the author chose to replace the entry with this one. He would later polish the duck scip (ie rewrite the interview portion), and now it's known as SCP-2730.

Nah, there’s been a couple instances of thaumaturgically reinforced nukes doing their job quite well. Not to mention the many anomalous MTF members that get shit done

The anti-psionic demon bomb is interesting as its several more recent scp that reference the noosphere and demons. Specifically scp 6765.

This could be an absolutely fire plot to a horror movie, also props to the GOC for solving this one.
It is.
This plot is not new. You have a few options. Read Roadside Picnic, watch the movie STALKER or play the video games STALKER.
The book and movie are more closely related and are about aliens visiting our planet and changing it in ways humans cannot comprehend. Definitely worth your attention.
The game is about a group of Soviet scientists wanting world peace (despite the USSR wanting to convert the world to communism) and then forming a collective of human consciousness in something called the knowasphere. Their goal is not achieved and as a result the zone is formed. A place where the laws of physics no longer hold true.
Its very much this idea and while the book/movie and game differ they are also very similar. There is a zone. There are anomalies. And there is a wish granter.
I fully recommend them all.

Holy shit. Someone managed to make an SCP where the GOC doesn't kill hundreds of millions of babies or genocide an entire species or accidentally destroy reality. I can only express shock that borders on alarm.
Even a broken clock is correct twice a day. Finally a clear win for the GOC.
I mean, I don’t agree with the way the GOC does things, but in their defense, you’re usually not going to hear about their workplace accident free days. You’re mostly going to hear about when shit hits the fan so hard they can’t keep it under wraps, which has happened plenty of times with the foundation too.
Good to see the GOC save the day for once.
We're just gonna try not to worry too much about that "demonic weapon" thing. A problem for another day.
The GOC does a lot of good, but their objective of _destroying_ all anomalies often causes things to just become worse. The belief that we'd all be better off without them is reasonable, but some things are definitely better off left alone, or just made less dangerous by containing them.
That said, Site-13 remains a perfect example of how the GOC isn't perfect, and why the Foundation is absolutely neccessary.

I'm for socialism and don't like the current system but saying Stalin wasn't a murderous despot who killed millions is abit off for me. You can be a socialist but hate the USSR aswell.

It makes total sense for the GOC to be the "heroes" here: the Foundation are constrained by their mission, whereas the GOC have no qualms about destroying an anomaly.
Makes me feel glad I screwed around with necromancy and fused myself with the German BB Tirpitz. The metal my skeleton is infused with offers me considerable advantages. Yes my brain is armored and I can’t be effected by things like 2664
