    its amazing how you can look at something so everyday, like a frame, and envision it as something more - like a glamorous tray! you really are brilliant :) love watching ur videos xoxo

  • @BeautySplurge
    @BeautySplurge  12 років тому

    You can use PVA which is the same as Elmer's glue that school kids use to craft with
    Mod poshed is a thin out version of diys with different finishes like gloss or matte.

    I edit with final cut pro, imovies and motion. I get inspired by the beats of music I use. Again, it's not about the program since you have to do the creative thinking and how to present your video. Most of the time, it's all about filming. I spend more time filming than editing. Editing can moves the clip for you the way you can do with the camera.

    I window shop at the mall. It helps me see if I should buy something or see the items used to figure it out on my own with a twist of cuteness. Sometimes, I can spend hours at the craft store just looking at random supplies and ideas starts flowing =) I'm like that with food. I can figure out the ingredients by tasting it and start cooking. No one taught me how to cook so there were a lot of experimenting. I truly think it's my ADHD that makes me all hype up with random ideas LOL

    Let me give you some motivation. I didn't get into DIYs until less than a year ago. I started with a no sew clutch then it opened my eyes to a new depth of view in my passion with art, fashion, and make-up... now crafting combo=) Also, it's the best feeling when someone ask where you get something that you personally made. Try this project sweetie! You won't regret it and do it as a girls night in activity.

  • @BeautySplurge
    @BeautySplurge  12 років тому

    Yay!!!!! Now you can make one with your personal touch to complete your decor. I wouldn't be able to something like this at the store for my new room decor theme... white with a touch of silver, gold, peach, black, and turquoise=) You are welcome sweetie!

    I found it around the house and it's an old frame. You can find old frames at a yard sale, thrift shop, dollar store, antique shop, or try home decor stores. Joann Fabric and Craft store is having a sale. They sell frames and it's 60% off right now. I was there two days ago with my coupons stocking up on supplies;)

    I film with a canon hfs-20 camcorder but good lighting helps with any hd camera. The more pricey the camera means less lighting is required so invest in lighting first. Editing is all about imagination coming to life so I use final cut pro, imovie, and motion. Good luck!

    Thank you! I mentioned in my Fall Fashion Haul/Giveaway a few days I ago that I bought it from TJ Maxx. I picked it up over two weeks ago for $50 =) It's a great find and there are plenty of other dress form style and sizes.

    This is a really cool idea! You could find taller knobs and stack the holders on top of each other, find the spinning part of a turntable and glue it on the bottom. A revolving jewelry or nail polish rack!

    it's a crafting glue that you can use to put a glaze on something or use for the purposes of regular glue, making it shiny and ensuring that everything stays in place(so your glitter wont get all over your hands when you use it). Hope that helped!

    Just a suggestion, but you can buy pre-glittered (gold, silver, red, and white) rubber/foam sheets at Michael's. Like your DIY soap, you can cut and fit pieces together. They are even sticky on one side. Would be less messy, and a lot easier. Wooden frames work great too spray-painted gold. I like my frames gold. You can put anything under the glass window. I even use dried flower petals for a Victorian look. Great vid!

    I answered her=) Editing program is useless without creativity and imagination. I use final cut and motion 4 for custom detail editing. Filming is the most important part and time consuming to get certain shots. I edit less and spend more time filming different views =)
