Your on the 147 Frequency Still you didnt change the carrot to the 223 Frequency which is why the radio isnt picking anything up on transmission 3:46 @Ham Fam
the only issue with this radio I've found is the squelch button, you must press and hold the button, you can't toggle it on, you can do it via the menu but you gotta return again to menu to change the level of squelch. another thing I've noticed is that the ptt id tones are only limited to 5 characters which is not a huge issue. I would love to see if someone has hacked this radio already like the 5RH thank you for posting those helpful videos
i just bought 2 UV-5RM "multiband" with the same search function , and my first Baofeng was UV5rt :) but what is the range in that search mode ? not same as in VFO mode `as i understand it . but this is a great function
Search works Within the same room as well As you can run the search when the radio is receiving a transmission to help find the info for the person your hearing
Its working at the end not because you changed the antenna bit because you pushed the a/b switch and switched the carrot to the bottom frequency of the 223.490mhz that you didnt do at the beginning of the video 9:56 @Ham Fam
@@ham-fam lol I have been there doing videos late at night it happens just wanted to make you aware you were always transmitting on the top band at the beginning of the video you never changed it to The B band it happens
Does the UV25 and UV5RH have the same software? Does the search funtion in UV5RH as good as UV25? I like the search function but I dislike the size of UV25
It's the 1.25m band. It is referred to as 200 or 222 (mhz), where the wavelengths measure approx 1.25 meters long. It is considered to be VHF, and not all radios are programmed to tune to it, but some may be capable with programming like the UV5R
There are two versions. The UV-25 and the UV-25 Pro Max. The second on has a scramble option in the menu and airband. Inside this bendable antenna is a very thin antenna like the Signal stick.
Brother, you were still transmitting on the A frequency when you were trying to transmit on the B frequency. The radio didn't pick it up for that reason I believe
The UV-25 is an awesome radio. infact if you didn't know anything about the hobby you could easily be fooled into thinking the radio was £300 worth just by appearance and handling
This things a piece of shit, I own several other baofengs that I've had no problem with but I can't get this dumpster to transmit for the life of me, I'll be returning mine asap

Well that's what happens when China subsidizes radios.
"Subsidizes" ?
I've lost track of which baefoung does what. I'm just going to buy a Kenwood or Icom or Yaesu and be happy lol
Enjoy :)
Хм. Любопытно
That thing is on steroids!😮
I'm interested to see how heavy it is.🍻🤠
Heavy , not practical to carry around
It is heavy but good quality
