Great video Tim ! - You are quite right, There really is no need for these big companies to be charging people the earth just for ink which does not cost much to manufacture at all. The reason how I stumbled across your video is because I mistakenly bought a 302 cartridge instead of a 301 which my HP envy 4507 takes, sadly they look identical but they are programmed differently as not to work with my printer... I am wondering is there any way to fiddle/bypass HP's awful printer ink chips ? and use that ink I just paid a fortune for ! ?? Thanks for any help man and a very happy 2022 to you Tim :)
Agree with you cartridges are expensive. However it should be well noted.... Some 3rd party inks are rubbish, I am a photographer and so I need to have the correct colour inks, on 2 occasions I bought remanufactured inks and the colours were No Where near the correct colours, on all 3 colours. I was very angry, since then have only used new genuine cartridges. SO BE INFORMED.. the inks are not always greener on the other side.
Yes. Nearly all of my printing is just plain black and white papers, and not even very often, so it doesn't need to be perfect. But I can see how in a professional application it is either right or wrong, no gray area.
@@tony40400 If you are a professional, you should never use cartridge printers but use ink tank printers. Ink tank printers don't have any problems with expensive inks. When people say that ink is expensive they don't mean original bottle ink is expensive but the cartridge is expensive
Is that's really work, I have 2 ink cartridge both of them it's saying incompatible cartridge, if I buy 3rd cartridge and cycle with it will really work?
@@mikatu It is done at home and is damn cheap. It will work as long as the cartridge is original (the chip on the cartridge is the most important part) even if ink is refilled
Couldn't you have cut out the bad take in the beginning? Was that supposed to be funny? Also, I just go to my local Fry's Electronics to refill my cartridges for 8 bucks.
The problem isn't that my phone made a sound and ruined the scene, the problem is that YOU don't find it at least mildly amusing. This is the special "UA-cam edit" version of this video. To see the normal cut of it, with the normal introductory video sequence and without this phone scene, go on over to www.loudmouthtim.com , home of "Online Video", the LONGEST RUNNING web series in internet history, and see episode #187. :D
@@LoudMouthTim next time learn how to edit and make a decent video! and stop wasting our time..... my time costs more than all your original cartridges combined.
Back in the 80s and 90s, HP printers have reasonably priced cartridges and last many pages.
My printer toner lasts for years and costs 30 usd. B&W laster for the win.

My printer ink costs me more than the printer itself 😑
Buy a new printer everyone and sell the last one, gain 100iq and become a millionaire

@@LoudMouthTim yes I learnt that a while back and you can't say to your client wait a week for me to get ink....
@@LoudMouthTim quite right.... The client isn't going to pay for bad colours, sometimes toy have to buy the originals

@@shrujanamsyama9940 if i am doing printing all the time then yes inks are the way. But for occasional jobs cartridges are more sense.
When you basically have to drug deal for ink you know it’s bad
Beat the printer ink pricing scam !, get a lazer printer !!!
Get a laser printer nuff said
I really liked your video. Thank you for sharing with us all the info to save money!
you can refill it but they leak a lot of ink
I just liked the video just for the presentation !
Just done my cartridges saves me a fortune
Good video
I suggest you seek out a lazer printer though
Can “fountain pen” ink be used?
Obviously no.
How is it legal!?
Why should it be illegal? You bought it, you own it. You can do whatever modifications you want with it.
Is that's really work, I have 2 ink cartridge both of them it's saying incompatible cartridge, if I buy 3rd cartridge and cycle with it will really work?
Of course not. Don't mind this guy. If you want to use reused cartridges do it without any problem, but don't do it yourself at home.

I'm sory but you sound like the joker ,that's hilarious
No, he sounds pretty normal to me. Seems like he's just doing his best to make the video interesting, but he's not over the top.
