  • This video is about the first two weeks of RV life, and our experiences traveling with our pets.
    My husband Jeff and I decided to give the RV lifestyle a try so that we could get some fresh air, have an adventure, and have a way to bring our three yorkshire terriers and Siberian cat along for the ride. It seems like many of the other people at rv parks are doing the same thing, as most everyone seems to have a dog. Living in an RV full time has been an interesting experience so far, although it got off to a rough start (as you can see in my previous videos).
    This video talks about how things have been for us traveling in an RV with our pets vs what we expected. It's always so interesting to see what the differences are, and I hope this video is helpful if you are thinking about doing the same thing. Doing a road trip with dogs is more work, but is also really rewarding and fun. The pets are really starting to settle in to rv life , and they love the space and comfort of out ATC Toy Hauler.
    We won't be in an RV with pets full time forever, and out time traveling was cut very short because the first trailer we bought had severe vocs so we could not use it for travel. That said, we are sharing the process of rving with dogs and the learning experience of our travels. below are a few of my favorite products so far for travel:
    ❤️ My favorite things❤️
    ❤️ Aunt Fannie"s Mosquito spray: amzn.to/3wYP1gP (deet free, cruelty free and vegan)
    ❤️ Wondercide - (I use this to repel insects from the pets) amzn.to/3TkwcxX
    ❤️ Yeti Tumblers - Unbreakable and they keep our drinks cold (or hot) amzn.to/3PPsvxm
    ❤️ Yeti foldable chair (this is the most comfortable foldable chair I have ever sat in. I love ours so much, and they were a great investment) - amzn.to/3PXcghQ
    ❤️ This is the cat backpack that we use for Simba, and he loves it. I got him used to being carried around in one...and he loves it now. It zips very securely as well. - amzn.to/3QYDS7r
    ❤️ This cat harness is great. I will say that it is very important to put it on very snugly. Cats are able to slip out of just about anything. The harness can not be loose at all. - amzn.to/3ASALZ2
    ❤️ We can't live without our favorite dehumidifier - amzn.to/3Trc6Cq
    ❤️ My GoPro Hero 10. I love filming with this! - amzn.to/3wAfHEa
    ❤️ Our trailer that we love. It is an ATC - atctrailers.co.... (very similar to this model)
    ❤️ The Air filter I use - amzn.to/3AQK386. (it is not small, but it works so well)
    Thank you so much for taking the time to watch, and comment on my video:).
    Megan, Jeff, Simba, Alfie, Lola and Poppy

    Megan I’m so glad you two found something healthy to travel in with the babies. I’m just wondering how do you get the pet food delivered if you’re staying at rv parks? I also hope the other travel trailer gets off your hands and you get back your money soon.

    We have our camper at a lot that we our at a lake. We’ve been doing this for about 9 or so yrs now. In the kitchen look for nesting products, I have a set that is bowls, colanders, measuring cups and down to measuring spoons. Another thing I got and my favourite is a set of pots and pans that only have one handle that clips onto each pot and all the pots nest together to save space.

      Thank you! It has been so great and it’s so nice to be settled into it. I’m really surprised by how much the pets enjoy it as well. Today one of my closest friends came to visit with her children and they also had a great time. They loved the bed that you push a button to bring down from the ceiling. They asked if they could Lana and watch TV :-)

    Hi Megan,
    I wanted to express my gratitude for sharing your experiences and knowledge about Yorkies. Your video has been incredibly helpful to us, especially since we are new owners of a 3-month-old Yorkie. We've only had him for a week, but unfortunately, he has been sick with vomiting and slight diarrhea, possibly due to stress, overfeeding, or a change in diet.
    We took him to the hospital for two days, but even after coming home, he's still experiencing nausea and occasional vomiting. We're worried about our little pup, and we would greatly appreciate any advice you can give us on how to take care of him at home.
    Thank you so much for your help.

    My husband and I bought a Class C just before I retired. We were moving from CA to TX, so we lived in the RV after selling our houses for a few months. Then we traveled extensively through the US and Canada for a few years. We took our Yorkie with us and loved that we didn’t have to pack and unpack at each stop like you would when staying at a hotel. We loved it. We no longer have the RV because we had problems finding good repair shops. It was a great experience.

    • @MeganGraham
      @MeganGraham  2 роки тому

      That is so awesome. What kind of C class did you have? Eventually we may get one after we settle in another state and travel from out West (where my husband is from) to the North East (where my family is). Jeff is very mechanical so he has fixed a few small issues). I like that we don't have to pack and unpack as well. After moving a few times I have found that we have been more minimalist about what we take out so that we don't have to put it back away!

      @cindyw-c 2 роки тому +1

      @@MeganGraham I wouldn’t recommend the company that made our RV. It had a lot of problems. Fleetwood made the Class A RV that I had prior to to the Class C. It was an excellent RV that we used when we had children and pets. My sister and her husband have a Fifth Wheel and really like it. It is pretty luxurious. They travel with it six months out of the year.

    • @MeganGraham
      @MeganGraham  2 роки тому

      Yes! The fifth wheels look a little funny (that is what we have) but the space is so luxurious. It was big enough yesterday to have plenty of room for my friend to visit with her two kids which was nice.

    • @MeganGraham
      @MeganGraham  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you:) they all have matching buddy belts. Would you ever still get a trailer, and if so what size do you think you would get?

    • @stacyspace4383
      @stacyspace4383 2 роки тому

      @@MeganGraham I bet they are so adorable with matching BBS😁. Caleb has a black one for at home and a tan one for out and about with his tags. Love them, so thanks for that recommendation too. He gets the least matted from them.
      🤔. I would never say never and lately being able to be mobile sounds like a blessing. We only looked at big ones as we had talked about leaving it there in lieu of building a structure but we never bought the lot. Be glad you left the city. It is no longer in good hands as far as political leadership. God bless you on your exciting adventure (I thought the picture message was cute😂). Stay in tough so we can all travel with you vicariously❣️
