Luffy's outburst before going gear 4 vs Doflamingo was legendary. That suffocating line is such a good moment. Great review, really indepth. Love the idea of devil fruit's inheritance.
The Yonko have always been nothing more than gatekeepers. We assumed because they're the strongest pirates in the world that they would be more important to the One Piece story, but does that make a lot of sense considering the main character's goal of going somewhere no active pirate has ever been? Big Mom falling before Elbaf makes sense because doing so after Wano would be a step backwards for Luffy, who's already fighting Kaido, now. And it makes even more sense when you realize Luffy didn't confront every Sichibukai . Big Mom had to be there to make the matchups logical. Otherwise, she'd be floating around somewhere, waiting for a much more powerful Luffy to take her out with much less stakes. I always thought this idea that BM had to fall in Elbaf was a bit of headcanon that wasn't justified in the story.
Your imagined “skip to elbaf” scenario is a pretty big jump in logic, not to mention the giants of elbaf don’t like big mom and wouldn’t allow her to just hang out and wait for luffy.
And Big mom literally says that there was no way they would defeat Kaido so why would she suddenly belive there is a chance? It makes way more sense that she would go there to kill Luffy before Kaido has the opportunity
Brook does use Soul power to cut Zeus. That's why homies get serious injuries when fighting him. Zoro had to constantly cut Prometheus on the rooftop to keep him from reconstituting, but it wasn't actually injuring him, just sealing his movements.
Story-wise it makes sense for Big Mom to be in Wano because alone her crew probably wouldn't be enough to go to war with Elbaf, and Kaido is still in possession of one of the Road Phoneglyph. That doesn't change that her presence in Wano feels a bit lackluster when considering her status as a Yonko, but a nerf was necessary to have hear dealt with by the end of the arc so it's a Luffy Kaido 1v1 and Kid and Law still get something out of Wano to increase their status. Law really did outshine everyone in this fight. I'm gonna attribute that to his being a D.

Thats exactly what I hate the most because for almost a hundered chapters. Kid has been proclaiming that HE will take kaido's head and the whole reason Bigmom came here was to kill luffy. Both of them repeated this goal over and over and over again through out this arc. Both of them are supposed to be conqurers and they went back on their words with no explaination. Kid suddenly became a luffy supporter and started fighting bigmom for luffy to beat Kaido. Even though before hand kid was bickering with luffy that HE would be the one to take down Kaido. BigMom entire purpose for being in this arc was to kill luffy and get her revenge and she was so determined to do it that she entered her rivals territory to achieve this goal even threatned Kaido that you better not touch strawhat "He is will die by my hands". Then why the hell did they start fighting each others even though it had no setup. I know that the story and the world of one piece revolves around luffy's existence but as a concequence of Oda making it like that other characters lose their agency for the sake giving luffy the spotlight.

Suddenly became a Luffy supporter? So we also should pretend Luffy didn't save Kid and Killer? We should pretend like they weren't fighting towards the same goal of defeating Emperors? Sometimes pride has to be cast out in order to succeed. Like it or not, soon as the Raid began, Luffy and Kid became allies. Their goal, defeat the Emperors. Kid and Law did they part. Now its up to Luffy to do his part. This is a war. You have to take your opponents as they come. All that infighting will just get them killed.

If the awakening of Viola's fruit allows her to create these whales that serve as permanent spy cameras THEN this would make the fact that they hid raizo IN the whale all the more important. Somehow the minks knew that the only safe hiding spot in Zou was IN the whale

Big Mom was definitely needed. A big theme of the Wano Saga (PH, Dressrosa, WCI, & Wano) has been New Gen vs. Old Gen. According to Oda, this arc was gonna change everything. Old Gen needed to be beaten her. Big Mom can for sure come back, but it’ll be on her “defeated champion get their rematch clause” type thing

Yes, Big Mom needed to be in Wano (for a given value of "needed" as it's written fictional story) This was one of my favorite fights & moments in the series. The past three chapters have had me grinning like a mad man as much as any series of chapters in One Piece. Luffy doesn't get to do everything. This stopped the 20 years long cycle of Luffy fights the big boss at the end, Luffy always beats the big boss. It let other characters out of this massive, tremendous cast get some shine. It let Law & Kidd establish themselves as true rivals to Luffy. It let Luffy's rivals get to have a massive, world-changing accomplishment before he could. It finally paid off all the build since the end of Fishman Island of the new generation challenging the old powers with the Worst Generation overpowering a Yonko. And yes, they injured, made her bleed & left her powerless to do any more as they sent her plummeting hundreds of miles out of the sky to the ground below. This was Law & Kidd's victory

Also, the symbolism you pointed out makes so much sense where the island with all those stretched animals were a result of the freedom those animals have and maybe that is what Luffy's awakening is. You also connected that with the world govt and how luffy stood up for everything against what they were imposing. So much insight. Incredible review.
I dont think Law's fruit is a superior version of Corazon's fruit, he just used powers within his fruits ability and tweaked its use to mimic Corazon's technique. He is able to teleport stuff within his rooms, so he basically created a room surrounding big mom and teleported the sounds out of it. Much like how Luffy's ability doesn't involve the use of fire, but he tweaked it to create Red Hawk, which is a tribute to Ace's fire fist move.
My theory on Zunisha's punishment is that it was ordered by the user of the Kibi Kibi no MI to disrupt Joy Boy's plan which led to his death. The Kozuki clan closed off Wano to the world after losing the war and in turn punished Zunisha for listening to any other command but theirs. Zunisha's last punishment and order was to walk until the day came where Wano's borders would be opened and to protect the Minks. Zunisha's appearance in Wano at this time lines up perfectly with Toki's prohecy.

I saw some people dissapointed on how big mom went out , oda clearly showed that big mom wasn't get defeated instead she just get pushed out of the island while still consioues , i think oda still have plans to her for elbaf arc

Also big mom was needed to raise the stakes of the arc. Bringing in two Yonkos in one arc and having them team up was a never before type thing. So i think she was needed
I love the way Big Mom has been in Wano and think this is a good end to her as a main antagonist. If she shows up again I think she will be an ally or minor antagonist.
I think it makes sense from a narrative standpoint for Oda to wrap up Big Mom with Kaido. It gives Oda a clean slate for the next arc and it lets Law and Kidd have a feat that allows them to keep pace with Luffy.
I agree that the 'so close to solving one piece' is referring to uniting something. Big mom is trying to create a crew consisting of all the races, and Kaidou is trying to create a crew consisting of all animals. That would explain why they were not successful. They were acting out of the intention to find one piece, not because they really want to.
I have a theory, don’t know if it’s been said, but what if: The crime that Zunesha committed was not pulling Noah’s arc to bring fishman island up to the sea. This would explain a couple different things: 1. Why Zunesha carry’s animals (Minks) on its back 2. Why Joy Boy apologized to Poseidon for not keeping his end of the bargain 3. Why the doctor on Zou said that Zuneisha is not walking aimlessly, that it has a place it is looking for and that place that it can’t find is Fishman island
oh damn.. Being on the other side of the redline makes that very likely. Whenever I see the whale on top of Zou i feel like I'm missing something, but your theory made me think of Laboom hitting itself against the redline. Maybe that was foreshadowing Zuneisha
Big Mom being there and making an alliance with Kaido made the Marines come to Wano, making us see how big of a deal it is to have 2 of the Yonko team up and making their presence a plus to this whole incident, so the importance could be seen from that perspective

For me essentially Big Mom was there to give Kid and Law some clout for the final war arc. She isn't down for the count, but the fact that they even did that much makes it clear Luffy and Zoro aren't the only ones of the worst gen to look out for and they can now respectfully claim to be his rival in the quest to become King of the Pirates.

Big Mom was definitely needed. A big theme of the Wano Saga (PH, Dressrosa, WCI, & Wano) has been New Gen vs. Old Gen. According to Oda, this arc was gonna change everything. Old Gen needed to be beaten her. Big Mom can for sure come back, but it’ll be on her “defeated champion get their rematch clause” type thing

This was one of my favorite fights & moments in the series. The past three chapters have had me grinning like a mad man as much as any series of chapters in One Piece. Luffy doesn't get to do everything. This stopped the 20 years long cycle of Luffy fights the big boss at the end, Luffy always beats the big boss. It let other characters out of this massive, tremendous cast get some shine. It let Law & Kidd establish themselves as true rivals to Luffy. It let Luffy's rivals get to have a massive, world-changing accomplishment before he could. It finally paid off all the build since the end of Fishman Island of the new generation challenging the old powers with the Worst Generation overpowering a Yonko. And yes, they injured, made her bleed & left her powerless to do any more as they sent her plummeting hundreds of miles out of the sky to the ground below. This was Law & Kidd's victory

Also, the symbolism you pointed out makes so much sense where the island with all those stretched animals were a result of the freedom those animals have and maybe that is what Luffy's awakening is. I dont think Law's fruit is a superior version of Corazon's fruit, he just used powers within his fruits ability and tweaked its use to mimic Corazon's technique. He is able to teleport stuff within his rooms, so he basically created a room surrounding big mom and teleported the sounds out of it. Much like how Luffy's ability doesn't involve the use of fire, but he tweaked it to create Red Hawk, which is a tribute to Ace's fire fist move.

My theory on Zunisha's punishment is that it was ordered by the user of the Kibi Kibi no MI to disrupt Joy Boy's plan which led to his death. The Kozuki clan closed off Wano to the world after losing the war and in turn punished Zunisha for listening to any other command but theirs. Zunisha's last punishment and order was to walk until the day came where Wano's borders would be opened and to protect the Minks. Zunisha's appearance in Wano at this time lines up perfectly with Toki's prohecy.

He'll get his awakening for sure. Having aCoC is a must to fight at Yonko level 1v1 imo so he has that. Now he just needs that broken DF ability to go along with it
Luffy always gets the added benefit of having more weight to his fight (opening Wano in this case).
Kidd and law did have a great fight. Could have been better but good fight. Oda already hinted at gear 5. It happening or he the biggest troll. He also said shanks make a move last year. So sometimes he do troll.
I saw some people dissapointed on how big mom went out , oda clearly showed that big mom wasn't get defeated instead she just get pushed out of the island while still consioues , i think oda still have plans to her for elbaf arc

I love the way Big Mom has been in Wano and think this is a good end to her as a main antagonist. If she shows up again I think she will be an ally or minor antagonist.
I think it makes sense from a narrative standpoint for Oda to wrap up Big Mom with Kaido. It gives Oda a clean slate for the next arc and it lets Law and Kidd have a feat that allows them to keep pace with Luffy.

I agree that the 'so close to solving one piece' is referring to uniting something.
Big mom is trying to create a crew consisting of all the races, and Kaidou is trying to create a crew consisting of all animals.
That would explain why they were not successful. They were acting out of the intention to find one piece, not because they really want to.
I have a theory, don’t know if it’s been said, but what if: The crime that Zunesha committed was not pulling Noah’s arc to bring fishman island up to the sea. This would explain a couple different things:
1. Why Zunesha carry’s animals (Minks) on its back
2. Why Joy Boy apologized to Poseidon for not keeping his end of the bargain
3. Why the doctor on Zou said that Zuneisha is not walking aimlessly, that it has a place it is looking for and that place that it can’t find is Fishman island
oh damn..
Being on the other side of the redline makes that very likely.
Whenever I see the whale on top of Zou i feel like I'm missing something, but your theory made me think of Laboom hitting itself against the redline.
Maybe that was foreshadowing Zuneisha

Big Mom being there and making an alliance with Kaido made the Marines come to Wano, making us see how big of a deal it is to have 2 of the Yonko team up and making their presence a plus to this whole incident, so the importance could be seen from that perspective

8:21 that's not a sound wave, that's a electrocardiogram I think, which fits Law's doctor/heart theme pretty well.
For me essentially Big Mom was there to give Kid and Law some clout for the final war arc. She isn't down for the count, but the fact that they even did that much makes it clear Luffy and Zoro aren't the only ones of the worst gen to look out for and they can now respectfully claim to be his rival in the quest to become King of the Pirates.
