Hey Mike, always enjoy your "practical" tips on your bikes. Here's something I discovered that might come in useful. Ace Hardware's Rust Stop Safety Blue aerosol paint is a dead on match for Honda Aquarius Blue. I repainted some side covers on an original paint SL70 and they match perfectly. I top coat the blue with a 2K clear coat for added gloss and protection. Have a great New Year! Jack H.
Recently, to get a title in Michigan, I had to get a form from the Sec. of State for Law Enforcement to verify the VIN, which a County Sheriff Deputy did by visiting the house. With that form completed, a Bill of Sale, photo copy of a J.D. Power Value, and paying the $$.$$ I walked out of the SOS with a registration, license plate, and received the new title by mail 10-days later. Was surprised how well that went for doing it for the first time !!
@@donsoule6411 Our system is typically pretty easy. I think my issue is in how the person at the BMV entered some info on the title application. Hopefully, we’ll get it sorted within a few days.
one other Honda dealer after market add on was ultra, ultra, rare fork brace, made for the ko, and Possible k1 SL 70, steel stamped on fork brace was , HON SL-70 , K and W Enterprises Hon SL-70 F-1044. thanks for bringing all these old bikes back to life Mike and sharing with everyone, Ride UM, DONT Hide UM !!!!!! Andy D.
@@andrewt8721 I don’t currently have a K1 SL70. I wish I did, I’m going to be doing a comparison video on this blue K0 and the XL70, that I recently finished. Having a K1 SL would have shown the progression a little better. I believe the K1 came standard with the speedo and horn.
Following along with your “shake down” inspection, my guess is that the clutch cover seen a failed attempt at removal due to just a couple “buggered up” screw heads and the rest appearing untouched. Still could be a shifting issue as I’ve found a cracked/broken shift drum stopper in a CT-90 recently that would not complete shifts on the first attempt. Thoughts on the worn left foot peg… The rider musta been a left foot dragger through a whole lots of mud and grit then a maniac on the shifter.
