- Up to now I've been using just the mono output from the Drumbrute. So, here's a track using some separate outs. Also, I have used some Prophet12 loops from the new Firehills Audio library - www.firehillsau....

#drumbrute
I can't describe how refreshing it is to finally find a video of the DrumBrute that's Beautiful like this, and not yet another four on the floor, 120 Bpm, EDM type rave beat... Thank you. Well done, :)
Hey mk, thank you! really appreciate it.
Beautiful work and shows how lovely the DrumBrute can sound in the right hands
This is the nicest demo I have have seen for this thing. A lot of subtle goodies here. Thanks for posting this, it's helped me want one as well.
Cheers Richard!
Best demo i've come across for the Drumbrute.
You've demonstrated its range of potential beyond EDM etc. Lovely!
Subscribed.
Inspirational! My new DrumBrute is sitting here and my fingers are itching!!
Cheers Rupert. Scratch that itch!
by far, the best drumbrute demos i've heard on youtube...for that matter...some of the best music i've heard on youtube!!! thx brother!!!
The quality of your sound is amazing. Subscribed.
+Logan Borja thanks Logan!

Chris White ill really look forward to hearing your latest offerings I love everything evocative and your stuff is so much that
Outstanding sounds! Congratulations!
Very nice, have the brute beside me but nothing like that came out of it yet :) great accompaniment to the other instruments. I'm looking forwards to trying something with a few harmonies soon.
I think you have just helped me to finally make my mind up about buying one of these , cheers!, nice piece by the way.
Thanks Keith! It's such a good price for what you get i think. I've really enjoyed using it.
Beautiful.
Cheers.
Sounds great... really nice track 👍🏼
Very nice calming
Nice tune! As i'm new to the drum machine, please explain how that sounds achieved? Are the ouputs triggering music inctruments sounds in other synths?
Thanks Yehuda. The drum machine is only creative the drum sounds. I composed the track and then improvised the drum groove along to the track as you see in the vid. thanks!
lovely composition!
Thanks so much Eʞko!
Wonderful stuff, have one myself and have not unpacked it to such a degree. Just running it through shit distortion, really ;) carry on, soldier.
Awesome Max, thanks. I'm really tempted to start putting it through pedals etc too. Just starting off though with the basic machine.
Hey Chris, just came across your channel coming from Instragram. This video is amazing!! Just suscribed to your channel :) Great stuff!
+Damien Bouyou that's awesome Damien, thank you!
Stunning piece man!!!!
Thank you Charlie!
This is awesome!
Beautiful!
+Joseph thanks Joesph
love it. thanks for the music
Awesome man. Thank you.
Nice work!
+glenktv thanks glen!
Sounds amazing! Where do you find such good string sounds?
Thank you. It's a mixture of some Spitfire audio stuff and some live cello :)
Well done! Subscribed.
Thanks João! hope you enjoy your new Drumbrute :)
Nice!
Nice work Chris. I was looking at purchasing a DrumBrute but when I found out there was no mixer or effects built in I decided on a Elektron Analog Four. The A4 gives me unlimited analog drums, sequencer, mixer & effects right in the box. It can also be used as a 4 voice synth or 4 separate mono synths.
Cheers Matt, the A4 looks amazing. I look forward to seeing some films of you using it!
very nice! what fx are you using on the hat/kick/snare?
Thanks for getting back to me, what Rhodes have you got? I've got a 1973 mark 1 and will be getting a drumbrute soon. Cheers.
+Nick Chandler hey, it's a 54. Love it. A '73 mk1 is awesome.
Hey Man, awesome video, just one question, what for are you using the mix out if you are using all the individuals outputs?, thanks
thanks man. in this case, the 'mix out' will be everything apart from the hat, snare and kick.
Loving this piece, can you explain how the drumbrute is triggering the external sounds please.
Hey Nick, thanks! i wrote the track separately (actually pretty minimal really - mainly rhodes and cello), then played in the drumbrute as you see in the film. then mixed, mastered, uploaded... the drumbrute is the source of all the percussive sounds only.
@@Christopher.white_ hey Chris, what is your mastering worflow? Thanks man.
Wow! Nicely done. So when you say you separated the outputs, you were running them into the DAW for processing on individual tracks I'm assuming? So you were able to affect each individual drum instrument?
There is then leeway for processing individual sounds yes. For me it just made it a lot easier to mix.
This is awesome! I got myself a DrumBrute a couple of weeks ago but so far haven't managed to figure out how to set patterns to any desire length in steps (16, 32, 64). I followed the manual and still can't do it. Sorry for hijacking this section but can anyone help me? I've googled it, watched youtube videos and nothing.... Cheers
Paulo A. Rod press and hold "last step" button, select the length with the arrows buttons, then still holding, push your desired step on the sequencer which represents the last step of your pattern !
Sounds great! I'm sorry if I'm too dumb but the pads and piano are not from the Drumbrute, right?
Hey Manoel, sorry for slow reply. correct, i wrote the track (everything apart from drums) first then laid down the drumbrute at the end as a live performance.
@@Christopher.white_ No worries and thanks for the reply, amazing work :D
Hi!
I know I'm late but I've a question
So basically could you use each separate output hooking different pedals and effects to them for each different outputs??
Big thanks
Yes, absolutely
@@Christopher.white_ Damn this is Great!
Thank you so much for the reply!
Awesome vid too!
How did you tuned the kick? Or it's another bass sound?
Hi Julian, there is another bass sound in there - i have a custom preset bass sound for Massive that i use on almost everything these days...
why are you putting stereo cables and stereo adapters in if they are mono outs?
they're balanced cables :)
Are They Balance or Unbalanced outputs ? :)
Hey Guilhem. That's a good question. I'm not sure, perhaps someone else here can answer?
They are balanced
(Y)
+Coolfreax thanks for prompting me to do it :)
I could be my favorite drummachine, but I don't like the kick
while I like your tune, the DRUMS ARE WAY TOO QUIET TO BE DEMONSTRATED. it is like you actually don't wanna expose the sound of the Drumbrute or are ashamed of it.
LOL... Ya, that's right, he's ashamed. Clearly THAT'S why the drums are quiet. It's a little know historical fact, that every beautifully understated track ever produced with a quiet drum mix belies a secret and profound sense of shame. It's a tragedy really. Chin up, Christopher, we're here for you. Well, most of us anyway... ;) Cheers!
@@SandcastleTheory Thank you for your belief in this Artist ...
I think and feel the same way.
@@SandcastleTheory It's okay to be critical ...
But it's also okay to just dig the tunes, and the Creativity too.
Namaste
not all sounds (drums, especially) should go "KABOOM!!!", hmm okay? :)
Beautiful
Thanks Matt.
What mixer are you running the individual outs into?
+jay selman hey, just into the back of an apollo 8.
"just" a two thousand pound interface. nothing special. lol
@@Christopher.white_ thats the same audio interface I got I'm using an apollo 8p to run all my drums through acoustic and electronic
Beautiful
+Shed thanks Shed.
If you don't mind me asking mate where is the cello type sound from please? as I'm sure I've heard it before somewhere it's awesome.
Thanx.
+Shed its played by a real cellist. I've eq'd it a bit to make it sound more otherworldly though...
Chris, oh ok that's obviously why it sounds so fantastic, I hope this track is on your next album mate cos I tell you what it would be on mine.
Extra cool. You have skill :)
