Repairing the fan blades in this way will cause the rotation of the fan blades to become unbalanced. The shaft will oscillate and vibrate. Eventually, the shaft bearings and sockets will come loose much faster than normal.

you can re-balance the fan using hot-glue. First, try to balance it on your fingertip, then if it tips to one side then put a blob of hot-glue on the tip of the blade on the opposite side until the fan is balanced. You don't need it to be perfect, just enough balance that the assembled-fan did not appear to vibrate when running.

Descordo um pouco com essas afirmações, porque o importante aí foi o encaixe na hora da colagem da peça , se foi tudo no ajuste , agora se ficar balançando no giro, aconselho trocar mesmo, porque as outras pás podem estar empenadas.

Most people would just buy a new fan in this throw away society. Great to see someone doing repairs. That repair will last many years. If it vibrates just glue small amount of weight opposite blade root or blades for repair. The rpm is very slow, less than 1200 rpm so you probably will not notice any significant imbalance if no weight is added. Great video

Thanks today i learned a new thing about baking soda with glue 🎉
When you mix super glue (cyanoacrylate) with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), it creates a rapid chemical reaction that results in a hard, solid bond. The baking soda acts as a filler or accelerator, causing the super glue to set much faster and form a stronger, thicker bond. This combination can be useful in certain situations, such as:
Repairing small cracks or gaps: The baking soda can help fill in voids or cracks, and the super glue binds the materials together quickly.
Creating a DIY "instant plastic": When applied in layers, the super glue and baking soda mixture can form a hardened mass that can be shaped or used for small repairs, like fixing plastic or ceramic items.
However, it's important to be careful because the reaction generates heat and can cause the glue to set almost instantly, which might make it hard to work with if you're not prepared. Always apply it quickly and in small amounts, as needed.

I understand that many people will think that the blades will unbalanced and may cause wobbling. And the vibration may cause damage to some other part of the fan (motor, bearings and etc). I agree this is a legitimate worry, especially from a mechanical engineer's view point. However, I can tell from my actual experience that, if you turn on the fastest speed of the fan and don't feel so much of the vibration, it will be "safe" to use. But of course, you must have the mesh installed in case the blades break. I used to have a fan's blade dropped to ground and broken into several pieces. I just hot glue to glue then back have used the fan for many many years, and have many re-glue in between.

The impact in the balance will be minimum -- if any, as the additional weight is close to the rotation center. Moreover, if some vibration appears, balancing is going to be prety simple.
Much more likely is to have vibration due to the misalignment when positioning the blade.

If super glue is compatible with the plastic it will make a very strong weld. Using a bolt as soldering iron tip makes no sense as using wire from a coaxial cable! Also, I doubt that the wire gives any extra strength to the blade.

He took so long and added weight so the fan will not run evenly. Just weld the plastic with the soldering and some cable ties. Simple.

You could use a big nail with a big head, instead of the bolt you got after a lot of work on it (but a plastic gun with all the metal pins to fix every crack in the platic costs about 18 eur)
Anyway, using a hot glue gun does the job in a few seconds.
    Bye
