- Her SECOND DWI Arrest: • Mom Arrested for SECON...
Around 4:30 PM on August 18, 2022, Officer Derek Paul with the Lawrence Township Police Department responded to a call of a woman in an altered mental state at Central Park. Upon arrival, he noticed that the woman was leaving the park in a 2012 Mazda, so he activated his emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop. The driver did not immediately stop, and the officer engaged in a pursuit for a few minutes before the driver finally stopped on Ewingville Road. He advised dispatch of his location and made contact with the driver, who was identified as 35-year-old Jasmina Alic. As he began to interact with the driver, he saw that there were 2 small children in the back of the vehicle and he noticed indicators of impairment.
Jasmina told the officer that they were coming from Central Park in Lawrence Township and that they were heading home. EMTs were called to evaluate her as well as her children, because one of her children appeared to have sustained injuries to the nose in the park. The officers asked her if she had consumed any alcohol, and she admitted to probably consuming 2 drinks in the hours prior. Based upon their suspicion of impairment, Jasmina was offered an opportunity to participate in field sobriety exercises.
They started with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test, but they were unable to complete the test successfully because Jasmina kept moving her head. The second exercise was the Walk and Turn test. During the Walk and Turn test, Jasmina was unable to stay in the starting position and did not walk heel-to-toe as instructed. The third exercise was the One Leg Stand test, and Jasmina was unable to raise her foot in the proper fashion or maintain her balance.
Based on her slurred speech, the odor of alcohol on her person, and her inability to adequately complete the field sobriety exercises, Officer Paul placed Jasmina under arrest for driving under the influence. A search of her vehicle yielded a half-empty bottle of Svedka vodka. Her vehicle was impounded for a mandatory 12-hour hold under John’s Law. Officer Paul subsequently transported Jasmina to the Lawrence Township Police Department for processing.
At police HQ, Jasmina was read her Miranda rights along with the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators, and she agreed agreed to submit breath samples. Her Alcotest results indicated a BAC of 0.25%, which is more than triple the legal limit of 0.08%. After Jasmina was processed, records indicate that she was turned over to the Mercer County Correctional Center and subsequently released pending her court appearance at 11:48 PM that evening. Officer Paul issued her the following motor vehicle summonses: Operating under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, DWI within 1000 feet of school, open container of alcohol, and delaying traffic
Court records indicate that Jasmina was also charged with 3 criminal counts in Lawrence Township. Her criminal charges include 1 count of eluding after instruction to stop in motor vehicle (2C:29-2B) and 2 counts of endangering the welfare of a child (2C:24-4A(2)). Less than 1 month later on September 12, 2022, Jasmina was arrested again for drunken driving in Ewing Township, New Jersey.

As a mom, I absolute despise that when she said "mom things" she meant DRINKING ALCOHOL. No, honey, drinking alcohol is not "mom things." It is sad, and it is crazy All people that do drive drunk while they have their kids in the car is crazy no decent parents would ever do that
Yes
They need to start making driving while intoxicated with minors in the car a felony...automatic where you actually get penalized for it and not just allowed to plea down.
The US has more people in the criminal justice system than almost any other country, even tyrannies like China and North Korea, yet we have more crime, drugs, and chaos -- more criminal justice won't do any good.
Yes! I absolutely agree
It actually is a felony. it's an extremely bad DUI.
@@FleetwoodCaddy59 It is a felony. A regular first or second offense DUI is a misdemeanor but when you have minors in the car, that's a SERIOUS felony charge. Not good.
@@wombat5252 is IS....but so many times the charge is dismissed.
The fact New Jersey recognize DUI as nothing more than a traffic violation is sickening and maddening!
Not just New Jersey either... far too many states charge it as a traffic infraction and/or don't have harsh enough punishments for DUI.
Jersey is far from the only state to do this.
Many states consider first offense (and some second) as traffic violations.

@@ritawashere5787Just the "mommy group" term itself makes me cringe. Seems a lot of mommy groups feel entitled to sit around and get drunk (they call it sipping wine, so hey, it's OK in their eyes), because they "have it so hard" as a mom. Everyone has stress in life. Moms chose to be a mom, and you have more rules and boundaries/standards to go by, not less. @@lovethybunnyThat's a terrible "trend"! When my kids were little it was social drinking only even if they were gone for the night at their grandparents! I always worried that if an accident happened what good would I be to them with a buzz on. This "mother" is a horrible person!

She really said, "a mommy thing," when asked if she had been drinking 😂 people never cease to amaze me
A “mommy thing” used to be tea or coffee years ago.
As a child I never knew how extraordinary my parents were. I thought all kids had parents that did everything in their power to protect and nuture, love and cherish their kids. I remember wishing as a teenager that my mom worked outside the home so she wouldn't be so involved in my life. Wow was I a dumb kid. Now I see and appreciate them so much. I can't imagine my mother being drunk nevermind driving with us. It's so sad that all kids don't have parents that deserve them.
Oh my gosh I used to wish for the same thing! I just wanted my Mom to go somewhere sometimes lol besides the store and church. I know exactly how you feel because I also feel like I have extraordinary parents 😊 They never smoked, drank, cussed, etc. They taught us right from wrong and how to respect people. I was so blessed! So were you!
Kind, wise words of appreciation! My mom supported 6 kids independently and I only saw her in the evenings and weekends. She took a summer off work once, and I remember that being one of the best years ever. I wanted more of her time.
Same here, my parents didn’t smoke or drink. They both worked and we’re both home at night for dinner. My grandparents took care of us after school so we were always with family. I hope these kids are ok now.
My mom used to drive around with a 12 pack between her legs, she also let us drink at 13, she was a party mom and all my friends thought that was so cool, but deep down I was jealous of them, their parents actually cared and supported them, the only thing I ever got from my mother was alcoholism. Today I'm 3 years sober and I can forgive my mom for all her mistakes, I'm glad that you have the insight to appreciate everything they did for you ❤️
You don’t realize it’s not normal until you start to recognize how other houses work. That’s a weird moment that’s hard to explain.
This needs to be a felony and she needs to lose her license , get jail time and a huge fine.
She is an irresponsible outrageous mother!

Yea you could tell she’s used the line with her kids a lot
I thought she said, “mommy things.” But it WAS Mommy Drinking. She’s despicable
Look at all the officers concern for the kids....
Knowing how plastered the mother is with them in the back of the car with her has to be one of the hardest things a police officer has to witness.
I know this is a serious matter but is 10 cops really necessary? I’m sure 3-4 could handle this situation. The others could be addressing other crimes taking place instead of chilling talking to each other about their weekend plans.
I so hope that someday those kids will realize that the police are good guys and were doing their job to protect them from their drunken mother. And although pretty deep for kids to comprehend, they also possibly saved their lives.
Kids are way smarter than they appear.
I agree with you, and for the mother, this is inexcusable.
That is only if she is put into a working addiction treatment program, which there aren't any in the USA. With moral puritanical christian conservativist moralism bneing the root of the problem, but yes. In addition to that, she needs to be convicted for her crimes, but usually that only leads to any sort of a solution, is if the justice system is rehabilitative not vindictive.
So, no. The kids are quite right in observing the cops are the problem here, just as much as her moral degeneracy in taking her addiction to such excesses that she endangering herself, her children and everyone else on the road.
That's usually going to be something that, the children will have an understanding of here already, and what she is too infantile to face. But, when the only help you're offered is bible bashing and addiction treatment and intervention that's not based on any sort of actual medical science and based on financially abusing the patient or the government subsidizing this insanity out of a quarter of a million dollars while making sure they never really get any sort of relief as long as they're alive, then well that's not going to encourage to seek help instead of taking it to this level of immorality as the sufferer.
LOL. And then these people wonder why there's an "opioid epidemic" when in a country with a strict prohibition law, "medical doctors" are allowed to prescribe synthetic heroin for minor aches and pains you'll loose your licesence for a single prescription, permanently, in any other country on the fucking planet.
Sounds like, the government is a part of this fucking racket.

It's interesting that when detained people say "literally", they're usually literally lying.
“Literally “ and “honestly” are admission of guilt.

I"m 24 years sober and I can tell you, the main driving force in getting sober, was the reality that I was going to lose my son (eventually). She's carrying around a 1/2 bottle of vodka.. she's living a toxic prison, pretending to be a good mom. I hope she wakes up. There's much hope and happiness for those of us who do.

I have a divided household. Years ago, I was hosting cards w my women neighbors at lunch (everyone in walking distance) My child was going to dad's after school. We were drinking mimosas when I got a call from school & my child had fallen & broke his arm. I wasn't drunk, but I wasn't going to drive. An officer picked me up (not part of their job) & helped me get to my child b4 transport. The ambulance forgave the cost! Another time, I was walking and stepped on a rock wrong & twisted my ankle, falling to the ground. I sat & just waited to see if I could walk. An officer drove by, collected me off the ground, and took me home. Checked on me the next day! She's claiming she does a glucometer finger stick once a week for diabetes, so she's lying about being a diabetic.

I know a lot of diabetics in denial who only remember to take it when they don’t feel well. It’s sad. And yes… they’d rather focus on alcohol.
Personally, as a diabetic, the "one stick a week" sounds like a weekly insulin shot like Ozempic, or Triplicity...not a finger stick test.
Diabetics are advised not to drink to excess because it does affect their glucose levels adversely.

And it's disgusting. But I have a feeling there's something more to this woman. She seems very confused, maybe an episode of something(diabetic/stroke etc), and then in her delirium maybe started drinking. Just think we should be careful before we judge. I've seen many drunks in my work. My gut says it's something else going on also. And it would be so sad to call someone really sick a POS...
She is hammered!! I'm sorry but I had to laugh when she messed up the test 58 times in a row. "Don move, don move!"
Omg, that is THE SAME WOMAN I saw on a different video a couple of days ago. Can't she learn that, at least for the sake of her children, she should get some help??? What the hell? And, I get worried about not leaving my blind cat home alone for too long.
SALAT eating....😂😂😂😂
God Bless these officers, the level of patience they have shown to this woman is more than I have and I’m just watching!
To drink Vodka and drive with your kids in the car is definitely NOT a " Mommy thing " 😠
Absolutely wasted, so sad for her children 😢
We must all wonder how many drivers, male or female, are under the influence across the country at any time throughout the day picking up and/or dropping off kids or jst running errands while on the road and being trashed intoxicated.
I agree, for every drunk driver caught just HOW many more are getting away with it and, like you state, driving children to and from school, it doesn’t bare thinking about
@@catlover0160right. They say on average when a drunk driver is caught, they’ve driven 60 or so times before that. Can’t imagine how many times this woman has driven drunk. This certainly isn’t anything new, driving with kids, let alone in the middle of the day and with that much alcohol in her system.
@@rumham7466Wow, scary stats!
I just feel so sad for the children, having a drunk parent must be horrible for them, I really don’t know how police officers can keep so calm ( yes I know they are trained for such circumstances) I could never be a police officer, I would have smacked her into next week, even that wouldn’t have sobered her up!!
I think it would frighten us all if we really knew.
It’s despicable enough these people drive around endangering others on the road, unfathomable even but to do so with your kids or anyone’s kids in the car is beyond disgusting. The person who can do that has no conscience or soul. Thoughtless cold uncaring individuals. There should be a 3 strikes law. Third DUI PRISON sentence of 5 years. No early release and permanent loss of license. Name on registry for auto dealers etc to check out. And photograph identification. Start taking this seriously legal system.
Or just have a fair system where they are punished but force them to have an installed breathalyzer unit in the car. They actually do that nowadays in almost every single state and you can't bypass them. They have cameras now, and you have to hum or suck in and out. It's pretty crazy, I've seen a couple of them work. It won't even let you drive with a 0.01%.
People are getting around the vehicle breathalyzer by having other people blow into the system. Maybe installing a camera videotaping the action. Jail time for each DUI and longer sentences for each conviction. Charges against other individuals assisting in any way for the convicted person, such as allowing them to drive their vehicle, blowing into the breathalyzer, taking them to purchase alcohol or purchase it for them.
10 yrs
Never happen with liberals in control
What is wrong with these people?? Horrible woman to be so drunk with kids in the car!!
I was almost injured or killed on the highway from some 110 mph person high or drunk who almost hit me.
I am so sick of seeing this. Me and my brother were those kids. Dad used to literally take us to the pub (80’s/90’s kids) and forgot us there a few times. Drove all the time. So, so dangerous and selfish.
Please don’t drive, get a bus, ask someone to pick you up, because your kids lives are worth more than a little inconvenience. And please, please ask for help. Your children will thank you for it.
I didn’t see my dad a day sober in his entire life, until he was passing away. I could never understand why we weren’t enough.
How is this not a felony? What kind of parent drives that drunk? There’d never be a day where I’d purposely put my children at risk. I’ve never been drunk in all my 73 years. There’s no excuse for drunk driving. Horrible!
PS… it is amazing to see the difference between that teacher who was a 0.248% and this woman who was a 0.25%!!! It’s very obvious the teacher drank A LOT!!
Wow, 2 DUI's within 1 month.
Over achiever for sure. And it won't be the last times either I'm sure.
I don't know what they think will be gained by prolonging this. She is clearly wasted. Disgusting she drives with her kids like this.
Wow blown away by the fact she was driving this wasted with her kids....that is scary as hell....she didnt follow any directions !!!!!!!!!!! 😳😳😳😳
I have NEVER been so frustrated watching these DUI tests before. 😳😳😳
Oh my gosh, this isn't the first time this woman was caught drinking and driving! There is another video of her 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ so lucky those kids didn't get hurt!
That’s terrible!
Some ppl never learn.
A month after this she got a SECOND DUI!!!!! Read the video description....it tells ALOT!!! I feel awful for those kids!!! Thank goodness someone called from the park!!!!!
She's at .25 in the middle of the day with her kids and driving. Just think about that...she's a drunk and she needs rehab before someone gets killed. I feel bad for those kids and hopefully they get rescued from their own mom until she gets help
I didn't hear her once say "what about my kids"... look she doesn't care for them!!!
Dispatch, I've got a mother driving plastered with her children in the car. With all her pending charges, less than a month later she was arrested and charged with DWI again. Seems she's well on her way to being an habitual DWI offender and her children will always be in mortal danger whenever she has custody of them. Nice
What an absolutely gorgeous police officer!! ❤️
I agree!!!!
Yes! And so patient and kind. God bless him.
To all interested parties - take note - no wedding ring!
I totally agree!!!!
He reminds me of an intensivist (critical care doctor) I used to work with. Not only good looking but awesome to work with
It amazes me that this women (and many like her) are very drunk in the middle of the day, and usually it's vodka, and their usual "I only had two drinks". Is this something they rehearse?? I'm glad she got stopped before she killed someone.
I think they use vodka because it's easily mixed with different things, and they hide them in their big Stanley cups! Lol
I would have arrested her as soon as she screwed up the eye test so bad. Moving head, not even looking at pen half the time, trying to hold the pen.
she not only could have killed her own children but any families on the road, no excuse and no sympathy
I ate a whole pack of Starburst before bed and now my stomach is killing me.
The red ones are the best, but for some reason I always get way more orange than anything. Oh well, third world problems hey? 😅 (hope your tummy is better)
Lol. I saw a police officer taking the womans blood pressure with a manual cuff. No stethoscope! What was he trying to do???? 😂
Old school BP taking! I know I've been an RN for 40yrs.
Easy! You use your eyes! When the needle bumps you have your numbers!
She didn't even learn her lesson! She had another arrest a month later for DWI. 🤬 she needs help and i hope those kids are placed into better care. 😢
Wow. So bad that she couldn't even follow orders to sit on the curb.
I don't think she could sit...so f---Ed up...
My God, just take to jail and get her off the streets. How she made it that far without killing someone or someone else is amazing.
Ridiculous that 8 cops are on the scene. For a dui arrest. What a waste of taxpayers money
They were at the park and she said she had "mommy drinks." Sounds like the police need to be staking out that park for those other mommies that meet and let their kids play and have "mommy drinks," and then drive their kids home! The ONLY saving grace for this woman was that she was driving super, super slow. She is so out of it I don't know how she even found her car... or her kids!
