great awesome video and catches of this doubleheader excursion with these to steamers nice whistle action too Great to here NKP 765 Scary whistle as well
To pianomanmaestro the Pere Marquette 1225 mostly stays in Michigan so you will probably never see it in Arkanas. The 1225 is also down for its 4 year rebuild to comply with FRA's standards so it wont be ridding the rails again unitll 2014
@pianomanmaestro Hey thanks! I'm not expert, but I doubt either of them would ever get down there. 1225 is mostly captive in Michigan, they have a really good relationship with the shortline this trip was operated over. 765 is in Fort Wayne, Indiana and I know they're always working to get it in tip-top shape for mainline trips. If either of them ever got down there, it'd be her. But UP only allows UP engines, so it's kinda doubtful. :(
@Strasburg1991 763 will wear whatever whistle Jerry feels like she should wear. however, it is more than likely that she will wear her Nathan 6 chime she had back in service.
Cool Cool! There awesome looking! Do they ever run down south twords Arkansas????? Man they need to bring them through Little Rock they would attract a ton of people the only steamer that comes through is the UP Challenger and The 844 but there oil not coal like those puppys! BY the way nice video!
Four years. If work goes ahead of schedual then 3 and a half years. But Im shure they want to make her as close to new as possible so my guess is really 4 and a half to five years.

@lolz976 no thats actually the whistle from the 700, the only reason it sounds different was because of the camera footage
