Can we have some love for Phil’s drumming? A human metronome.
Appreciate you checking this out! You hit the nail on the head with the sound pulling you deep into a psychedelic yet ominous space, in conjunction with the haunting yet hopeful lyrics. It’s a song (and band) that makes you FEEL.
Thom Yorke (lead vocals, guitar) has spoke in length about mental health and how it’s inspired his music, so your take on the certain “feeling” it brings up just goes to show how genuine not only the music is, but how genuine your reaction to it was as well.
Glad you enjoyed, and even more glad to hear about your sobriety and awareness regarding your mental health ❤ appreciate you man.
Such a great song. One i will be revisiting for sure. I am truly in awe of how these incredible artists can convey certain emotions. It is almost like telepathy. Definitely need to read up on Thom Yorke.
Thanks so much for this one!
This is one of my favorite songs off one of my favorite albums. This song really showcases the musicality of each band member. Thom's lead vocals are second to none. OB's background vocals are, in my opinion, the best background vocals laid down on tape. Let's not forget Phil the human metronome here. This song and Subterranean Homesick Aliens really transport you to somewhere else. I am glad you discovered this song.
Amazing song and performance. Thanks for watching and adding your thoughts. Much appreciated!
Great choice! Beautiful song from a masterpiece album.
This one made an impact. The feeling of it still lingers. Great song! Thanks for watching.
I am a MASSIVE Radiohead fan!! I love them so much! They are in my opinion the most creative, original, talented, gifted musicians out there. I love so many genre's of music, I love so many bands but when I take their entire corpus of material and add it all up, Radiohead still sits at the top for me. They are way way ahead of their time and I appreciate them so much. My favs are all their live performances and In Rainbows is my favorite album of theirs and In the Basement is so phenomenal because you get to see just how incredibly gifted they really are! It's one thing to play someone else's songs as covers or sing along and sound great, but it's entirely another realm of actually being the creators of these tunes. I put them at the top for that very reason. They do their own thing and invite people to come along if you want to. My favs are "Creep", "Paranoid Android" live at Jools Holland BBC and all of In Rainbows, especially "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi", "15 Step", "All I Need", "Reckoner" Radiohead - Street Spirit (Fade Out) as well as Radiohead - Creep (Best live performance) on UA-cam, I love Thom and Jonny's The Smile. Thanks Saeed!!
Very, very few bands have a body of work that can match them, for me they are in the same league as The Beatles and Pink Floyd, if Jonny Greenwood did a 2 minute guitar solo every other song they would be the biggest band ever, but he doesn't.... and I love him for that.
Amen! ❤
This song is amazing and love this performance. Definitely want to hear more of their music and these basement sessions.
Thanks for sharing some recommendations.
@@SaeedReacts. if you could only hit one more from this basement session, I would suggest the song, ‘Nude’.
They are just incredible, they do stuff that blows my mind.
One of my favorite songs of all time! ❤
Great song!
Bro this song has definitely put me in a trance a few times
Very entrancing! Awesome song.
Somehow I wasn't expecting Radiohead reactions, but I'm very excited. I must have missed the previous reactions, so I'll have to go back and check them out. In Rainbows, and OK Computer are essential Radiohead albums. Both are innovative and unimaginably beautiful.
Have only done a few, but definitely want to explore more. This song really made an impact!
Thanks for watching.
I understand your uneasy druggy feeling. One time when i saw Radiohead, I think the Kid A tour, I had a near out of body experience. Their stage set-up, including the lights, is HIGH TECH! We were in a big field, under the stars. With the lights pulsating and the music swirling and the MDMA kicking in, I floated away. By the time they got to "Karma Police" my head exploded.
Damn! I felt that description!😅😄
@@SaeedReacts. Awesome! It's hard to impress a writer with words. 🙂
Do yourself(me) a favor and watch that whole session.
Yeah, it's a trip that a song with a fast tempo can be kinda mellow. This guy is so unique.
That took me on a trip 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Almost a Hawkwind feel
Utterly sublime
I love this live version, it is actually my favorite song by my favorite band. You just earned a new sub and like 👍🏼 Very nice reaction.
Thanks so much for subscribing! Great song and performance.
The rabit hole is deep with this band
Very insightful reaction, well put, amigo. Got yourself a new subscriber.

Cymbal rush is one of my favs from the basement live sessions.
Thanks for that recommendation! Will add it to my list.
@@SaeedReacts. cymbal rush is best live !
great job, that was really engaging
Awesome song and performance! Thanks for watching!
Please more Radiohead sir!
Will check out more!
I believe that this song was written after Thom watching Planet Earth.
@@GIBKEL I think Thom said the song Bloom from The King of Limbs was inspired by Blue Planet. There was a collaboration with Hans Zimmerman to record an orchestral version of it to accompany Blue Planet 2
Please let the sessions from the basements coming in, next one please. Try video tape
Hey Saeed, I said wake me up if you react to another Radiohead song. Good Job Bro
This song is so good! And love the performance too. Thanks for watching!
Great reactions! Hit us with more Radiohead ❤
Thanks so much! Definitely want to hear more!
Please check out more of their Basement stuff
Definitely want to hear more. This is performance is so good!
Great video!
Check out their discography, please. In order.
Will check out more.
Wish i had the time to check out all music.
I disagree with you that "you can't get high from listening music." The endorphins released while listening to music that hits the listener is a high. 'Jacob Collier - Little Blue | @MahoganySessions' lifts me up to tears at the moment. Doesn't mean it will for you though, of course. Nice reaction sir
There are definitely things happening in the brain and body. Cause i definitely felt something while listening to this song. So maybe it was a type of high, but i just didnt have the right words for it.
I stand corrected, Sir 😄
