I’m on day 2 of my all liquid diet and I took a bite of grilled chicken 🥺 it was barely a mouth full but I felt so bad!!! I’m starving tho and these shakes are disgusting 😔
I’m on day 1 of my pre op diet. I contemplated cheating a few times while making my kids food. This helped me. I dont need to cheat. I can do this! Thank you!
I agree, it's hard to stay on the wagon when everyone else in the house is eating normally and you have to prepare it😏 I'll start my preop diet on Monday, 2 weeks before op (16.08). I'm on low carb since beginning of the month, so it should be easier for me to transition! But I'm extremely nervous that I'll mess something up 😬
I'm on 7 day of my liquid diet. I have not cheated once. Trust me it's been very hard. I drink 3 protein shakes a day and a lot of chicken or beef broth, and jello. I spoke with my dr. She said I can add chia seeds in my protein smoothies when I make them during the 2 week diet, but not after. Chia seeds help keepe fuller. This diet has tested will strength and will power but I want to succeed and have a healthy life. Listen this diet isn't forever it's just short term to a greater ending. You got this!!!
I’m currently on day 3 of my 14-day full liquid diet. When I got approved by my insurance company, I had already talked myself out of getting my surgery as planned because I’ve waited since 12/2021 to get approved. I thought another postponement would occur. So as soon as they emailed me, I got started. I’m 11 days away from surgery but all I can think about is the scrambled eggs I didn’t get to have that planned on making that morning; as well as the tacos I didn’t get to prepare for dinner. So even though I have not cheated, it’s on my mind. I’ve had to create mantras for myself and post them on my social media to keep me accountable. I’ve also started tracking my dry weight when I wake up daily. So I’ve mentally told myself, “If you cheat, all the progress you made will be lost! Keep going!” This is tough. And I’m ashamed of how hard it is and how much I love good food. But I’m trying not to beat myself up too bad as I don’t have the anatomical tool that will assist me, the duodenal switch! I’m not going to cheat. I’m going to keep pressing forward. This video and everyone’s comments have truly helped me. I will refer back to this post if things get rough later on. Thank you everyone!
My surgery is on December 5th, I cheated once and I feel horrible about it. Watching your video helped me refocus, and the sound of your voice is very soothing. Thanks for the video!
Whew, I started 2 days ago & have cheated both days😩😩 This is the worst time of year to be doing this & tomorrow is Christmas😢 I'm out of town & really need to be in my own home while going thru this.
I'm on day 4 of my 7 day diet and it's hard. The second day was the worst. I had a horrible headache all day and just felt like crap. After that it's just been hard because I want to chew something. Trying to keep the goal in focus. 7 days for a lifetime of being healthier is worth it.
Thanks for the video. Great info. My Dr. Wants me to do a two week diet of 1500 calories per day just to show that I am committed to weight loss. This is even before the two week liquid diet. I have done really well for 5 days. I did not cheat once. Tonight I went to the cupboard and found a big bag of chips. I ate the full bag and have been beating myself up ever since. I was ready to throw down the diet and the weight loss surgery because of my mistake. This video helped me continue on
I appreciate you being honest about cheating. I'm on day three I ate some pickles. I know it's cheating but I figured if I had to cheat that's not to bad of a cheat. Low cal, no fat, no carbs.
This video is so helpful to me!!! I’m on my two week liquid diet right now and I cheated. It’s HARD. Ive also heard it’s harder than actual surgery. I’m so glad I came across this. I’m freaking out about them not being able to do surgery now.
I just want to thank you so much for this video it has definitely brought me out of depression I weigh in tomorrow and I’ve cheated twice on my liquid diet
If you mind me asking what did you eat? How many days before surgery? I ate a slice of Turkey rolled up with a slice of cheese. I also ate a skinless chicken leg the following day.😔 I'm five days away from surgery.
Thanx for this video I’m currently doin my pre op diet and have 10 more days to go! Already stuffed up the first 2 days but have gotten on the horse again! I just really wanted to eat a big Mac and a double cheeseburger talking about it now is depressing me lol
I start my pre op liquid diet this coming Wednesday.. now I feel 100 percent I can do it, but I'm also concerned that I'm gonna feel weak because of not consuming all the food I'm used to eating.. wish me luck..
Thank you for this! Just got my referral at the seminar stage of the process! I’m so nervous but mostly excited for my new lifestyle and conquering once and for all my struggle with battling weight loss! Thank you again!
I'm having my sleeve to bypass on 9/27/22. I pray that everything went well Susie? I pray your surgery goes well tomorrow Jazz. Speedy recovery to you both.
@@chatelchase354 Hi Chatel. You can do it that time will fly by fast. Make sure you drink your protein shakes to get your protein. Try broth, sugar free jello and applesauce and sugar-free popsicles.. Those help me a lot. I pray everything goes well for you.
Im ON MY 5 day of liquid diet for two weeks I’m fighting myself so much not to eat IVE BEEN ON SHAKES AND THAT BROTH IS NOT DOING IT FOR ME IM SCARED IF I CHEAT ONE DAY MY SURGERY CAN GET CANCEL
I’m on day 1 of my pre op diet and I feel the absolute worse. These shakes are terrible and headaches are painful. I want to cheat so bad 🥺 feeling defeated.
Im on day 1 pre op liquid diet the shakes aren’t bad for me but I have headache and I’m very grumpy iam so hungry but keep going you got this we came too far to not pass the finish line
I'm on day 2 pre op. I have to do this for 4 weeks. I'm absolutely starving. I have the sweats and am nausea 😔 I am allowed small meals or shakes. It's so dam hard!
My cousin that I never wanted to have this surgery just went through this. I tried to discourage her. I have anorexia and occasionally bulimia and tried to tell her that she's just as unhealthy as me. Her doctor gave her 3 days of liquid pre surgery. I think her care team is awful. Every well reputed, well known medical facility gives 2 weeks to make sure in the final count down you can do it. She was hesitant at the last few days but figured she'd be ok as she loved protein drinks. I drink them all the time, it's an anorexic way to keep up strength and vitamins but not gain weight. I would go to the gym with her and she started loving the banana protein drinks. Now after surgery, her taste is different and she hates the drinks. She literally cries having to drink it. She wasn't diabetic but when her sugar is low she gets do sick. She wants to "cheat" by having a teaspoon of applesauce but is literally terrified it could kill her. If she was on a liquid diet longer than 3 days, she may be would've known her sugar would cause her to literally bottom out. Sometimes the easiest thing isn't the best.
On my 3rs day of liquid diet....I wanna scream!!! Headaches and feeling weak. 5 disgusting protein shakes a day and only allowed 5 cups of certain veggies. I gotta keep going.
I lost 31 pounds on my preop diet
That’s amazing!
