@@EnDyWooD1 which did you go with? Sleeve or Bypass? I'm considering it. I'm 6'2 420 lbs but don't look it, but I want to get to between 275 and 300. I have terrible back pain all the time.
Very cool to see this. I'm getting the gastric sleeve/duodenal switch on July 10th. Im 46, used to be a stud but stuff happens, I'm looking forward to changing my life for the better.
@@celinuchis90 hey! I'm post 3 months from surgery. I'm 72 pounds down since 10 July, 86 overall/pre surgery weight loss. I'm down from 423 to 338, down 2 shirt sizes, down many pant sizes. Physical, I feel good. Moving better, climbing steps better. First month post surgery sucked, way better!
@@bypassblake3010 I just found your channel. I'm considering the surgery I'm in the process of getting an appointment with the doctor now. My health has declined very much. Due to a spinal injury and somehow I gained 70lbs in a two month period after my last fall it was so random 🥺. Then slowly had other health issues start as I talked with family and my Dr these are hareditary type 2 diabetic, hypothyroidism, sleep apnea, lymphedema in my legs . Gallbladder removal and now surgical menopause 🤦🏼♀️🤣.. so I pretty much stay in the range of 300lbs-325lbs depends on fluids retention.. I live in Arkansas and the Dr is with Baptist health I will be seeing.. I have known other's who have had this surgery and did very well. Except my daddy but I believe it's most likely due to some habit's he didn't stop doing. 🥺 So he's doing great with keeping the weight off but having other complications. So I'm just going through your videos to try and see what would be best for me.. I'm just excited to get my health back this is my goal. I'm 45 and walk like I'm 80 🤦🏼♀️
That is EXACTLY why I decided to make these types of videos! When I was trying to find videos on UA-cam about weight loss surgery all I could find were people rambling on for 30 mins and not getting to the point 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks for sharing, because there is much garbage out there. I'm going for the sleeve soon I'm about a month in and have a few more steps, this video helped alot to calm my nerves. You sir look great best of luck to you.
Love your videos, I’ve just been approved for Bariatric Surgery and your videos are some of the best I’ve watched. To hear your story, in your own words, is so interesting to see, I love your honesty and candour.
I just had the sleeve on 6/21/22 I am doing great but my stomach still hurts a little when I try to lift much weight. My biggest complaint is that I get a bad case of the diarrhea the doctor 👨⚕️ said to drink lots of water. When I get to more solid food it will work out I have lost about 38 pounds in 30 days hopefully I can get down to 185 from 339 .
I had my conversation with my doctor as a turn-door convo (threw it in at the end). And he went down his list of possible things for weight, and I said what about bariatric surgery. And that started my journey and had it done 8 months later.
I loved your videos very easy and simple to understand I'm in the very beginning of my journey doing everything that my insurance needs before approval but I'm trying to learn everything that I can while waiting for the actual green light. Thanks so much for your videos!!!!
Same here! Which procedure did you choose and why? If you don’t mind sharing. I’m on the fence on which one to get. My doctor is recommending gastric bypass.
Congrats on your progress. I'm curious about muscle/strength loss after weight loss surgery . I heard it would be challenging to build back some muscle. I guess it varies person to person. What was your experience ? Thanks for sharing.
I have so many questions my husband is going to have this done..right now he is starting his pre-op diet and will have his surgery in six months. I have heard a lot of bad things about the bypass and I'm afraid for my husband to go through this. I have heard that the sleeve is better. I have watched your video on bypass v sleeve, I guess I'm just really nervous about it. But it seems you have had a lot of success out of the bypass..and I'm hoping that my husband has the same results.
When you say you feel stuffed after eating, are you talking about Thanksgiving stuffed? To the point where you can't take another bite? Do you feel like you should have stopped eating before that point?
I have a few questions?? Do you ever feel like your stomach stretched? How do you feel now if you over eat or eat too much sugar? Once you feel like you’ve completely stopped losing weight if you get right back on track, will you continue losing?
If weight is what you want to keep off, than I can understand why you wouldn’t wanna build muscle, but to tell people they shouldn’t put on muscle because they are gonna gain weight makes it seem negative. Muscle is actually good weight to have on your body. It increases your metabolic rate, resulting in a faster fat loss which is a good thing! Building muscle will also help tone extra skin people may have that will, in turn, improve its appearance. I like all the good advice you give, but the “building muscle is bad because it’ll make you gain weight” is not an accurate statement.
Did you have to do a 2 week luiquid diet before surgery? If you did how did you get through it? I am so hungry 😩. I don't know how I can last the 2 weeks. I feel sick to my stomach from being so hungry
You will get stalls the first few months and even for the first year. Your body is going through changes and even water weight is shifting making your weight fluctuate a little bit. This is normal assuming you’re in a calorie deficit (whatever your program has set, usually under 1500 calories) you shouldn’t remain at a stall for too long and will eventually lose more weight. You have to just “trust the process” and stick to your program given to you by your surgery team. If you’re concerned you can always contact your nutritionist and / or log your food in a calorie counting app to make sure you aren’t taking in too many calories. Hope this helps!
What an amazing journey! So glad I found your channel! I'm having surgery in a few days.

hi, any updates?

Part of it is let your body adapt to weight loss. Building muscle is great but you also get very hungry. Hard to do both
❤❤❤

With the stomach reduced to a pouch would the food intake be sufficient ? Would you get all the nutrients you need because very less is being consumed
you take supplements and proteins
I'm having surgery in a week
Was you nervous before surgery if so did you request anxiety medication
They give you lots of anti anxiety meds. My cousin was so relaxed, she about slid off the stretcher while she was waiting to go into surgery.
Geen huidplooien etc?
I wanna get down to 205
i have the surgery 2 days ago best way is stay on the instructions 100 before and after
I had vsg surgery a month ago today and at a stall n don't feel like I'm going to lose any more. I've lost 35 pounds since surgery
And what do you do on stalls? Do you just continue the same as always protein
You will get stalls the first few months and even for the first year. Your body is going through changes and even water weight is shifting making your weight fluctuate a little bit.
