This is the first part of the series detailing how you can install a push start button on your older Audi R8 cars using the Gen 2 (2017+) Audi R8 factory wheel. I walk you through how to remove the old steering wheel and modify the existing airbag connector to work with the older Audi R8 cars.

T-25 Torx to remove various trim pieces on the steering wheel column
M12 Triple Spline to remove the steering wheel lock nut
Torque wrench
Blue Loctite
Various picks, especially the 90-Degree Pick (very important you have this)
Terminal Pin Removal Tools

So you have to buy the new steering wheel with a new air bag or the original air bag will fit the smaller new cap?
