Brilliant. Now I understand how my ghost could fly past even though I really hooked up a corner. Just think of the advantage you have given us over people who haven’t watched this? Thank you 👍
At the risk of repeating what has already been stated.....Brilliant video Kie. Thank you. Looking forward to the upcoming tutorials. Learning all the time, thanks to you.
Great video again, thanks! Maybe make a tutorial of the impact of the break bias, breaking ophill (like t1 an t2 on the red bull ring) and downhill (like t3)
I don't know too much about the technical aspect of the energy regeneration, but if it's bigger when you bias the rear, that makes me think that the magnets are on the front brakes and since biasing to the back allows more spin frpm the front wheels, they regenerate more... So I'm thinking, if you disable ABS and lock your brakes (or if you lock them by any means, even with ABS enabled) you're not going to get any regen because the tyres stop spinning?
Nice discovery kie i dint have a clue about this Lil nugget. One point though, would the effect be the same if you adjust the differential at all. Not in fia races as the bop is locked but in general online races? I'm pretty sure kaz was recently quoted as saying he wants to open up the settings in the future too.
Billy Bass I hope they don't open up the settings as that would ruin the game in my view, but the Toyota may be affected by Dif settings but not 919 or Audi.
Hey man, are you going to be participating in Assetto Corsa Competizione?? I'm really looking forward to watching your hotlaps, track guides, and car setups if you are! I'm going through and watching all your relevant AC videos to get prepared, but I'd much rather follow you as you participate in ACC's challenges and competitions. Anyway, thanks a lot, you have a great channel
I have a Race in an private championship on sunday. 140 rounds blue moon speedway group 1. So the Toyota could have an advantage coasting around behind the other cars? We tested a few cars an the mercedes seems to be the fastest car on a hot lap. But over 140 laps i am not so sure?
After watching this I remembered Lewis Hamilton's F1 car also runs a hybrid system so I tested and found it has a similar recharge to the Toyota where It charges while coasting rather than braking like Audi.
Yeah the F1 cars run somesort of hybrid system. I can't remember if it's the KERS or the newer MGU-K and MGU-H systems on that particular car. Something worth looking into.
Is there any way to save energy in the battery to use later? So like is there a way where I can use the engine only and keep the energy in the battery so I can use it later in the race? Or do I have to use the energy right as I accelerate
Did that car have hybrid? They were talking how much more energy they could generate with a front engine, front kers but thought it didn't have a hybrid system when on lmp1.
WiseGuy TM Except it all seems to be going to the front tyres, spinning the tyres even more in low gears. If polyphony could just fix it and give all that hybrid power to the rear tyres or at least let us activate it manually.
nice tip Kie, but it should be better to make an example lap and see the difference in terms of lap times changin brake balance with this hybrid system. Another point is: Are you sure that you brake at the same point compare the different brake balance?
Raghinen I braked at the same speed it's 100% been proven now, not really a need to test it over a lap as the evidence is clear as day to see 👍 most drivers in top split are now running these hybrids with around 3 to rear due to the increase in power. You basically want to go as far rear as you can cope with not all people will be able to do full rear bias though as it will require very smooth driving.
If we drove this car at all even with in cockpit view we wouldve figured it out but i hear thats only 5% of people who race. Which is coool. Live cockpit. Now to pay extra attention to whats going on in each car and read their discriptions!!!!
I need to know this too, watched a load of replays from this week's spa race, and I can't figure out how they able keep hybrid power in store, even while on full throttle?? Any one out there know???
Great video but will this change anything to the cars for time trail and the race? That the toyota will be stronger in the race now because if you lift you regenerate the hyrbid and you can go faster as the porsche and audi and you save fuel by lifting
quinten_jeh the 919 and Audi have more powerful hybrid systems, the brake bias is massive for race conditions as it's important to keep hybrid throughout lap, is still go 919 majority tracks, as Toyota hybrid doesn't feel as strong.
For me the porsche hybrid feels stronger as the audi aswell. I have noticed this at le mans that the porsche will accelerate faster in the lower gears but then the audi gets faster to its top speed
Britbong Aye it sucks specially for the Nismo. Its hybrid doesnt help at all it just spins the tyres in low gear and by the time you are at 4th or 5th its all used up.
I did some research on TS050 and it does have two MGU K. one at the back and front. Porsche 919 have one.
Great video Kie, it’s nice to learn top tips from good drivers. I know a lot top drivers keep their tricks to themselves
Brilliant. Now I understand how my ghost could fly past even though I really hooked up a corner. Just think of the advantage you have given us over people who haven’t watched this? Thank you 👍
i figure this a while ago, tho i didn't know that brake balance affect the regeneration

You deserve a lot a lot more subs amazing channel
Top tip Kie thanks I understand it now...... thanks for doing the hard miles to find this out......
Awesome this is amazing good work mate
They need to put the hybrid car on they own class.
Great content btw.
Why you say that?
Group H (Hybrid)
Gr8 explanation boss!!
Glad it was helpful!

Mark1607 it's already planned 😉
Nice bit of investigation mate. Good stuff
THX for the Vid. anyone looking at this is trying improve .
Love your videos and tips keep up the good work

The Porsche does show the hybrid percentage (blue bar) you can base the percentages off the lines within the bar
ShApe it doesn't move the in the 919 so you can't base that as it's not working in that car.
Thanks Kie! You really help us nubs out.
Thanks for putting in the effort to work this for out for us
Thanks for doing this type of video. Please keep more of them coming. Any idea if this recharge system works for the laferrari?

Tnx for the tip, will use it next time👊
Nice video!
Great video did not know that at all thankyou
Fun fact. The 919’s hybrid display shows throttle input and turbo pressure

Good thing that i always +3 on my AUdi.
Porsche 919 has alternate UI on their Steering Wheel to see it Hybrid m not in game

Quick question: how about the nismo? You should probably run 5 rear anyway on that car soely because of tire wear but it would be interesting to know.
Did that car have hybrid? They were talking how much more energy they could generate with a front engine, front kers but thought it didn't have a hybrid system when on lmp1.
IRL the hybrid system didn’t work, but in the game it is active.
WiseGuy TM Except it all seems to be going to the front tyres, spinning the tyres even more in low gears. If polyphony could just fix it and give all that hybrid power to the rear tyres or at least let us activate it manually.

Is this really going to affect to speed because as shown in the video, that energy is gone in the blink of an eye?
Спасибо, братец, респект тебе, ты крут 👊👍🔥

Great video it helps us noobs out.
Thanks for the video Kie. Does this affect the Audi VGT also?
no mate, that Audi for FIA just has always on as it is fully Electric :)
TheKie25 ok. Thanks.
Is there another Audi VGT that isn’t just electric? I’m using it for private lobbies rather than FIA.
Bro its a fuckin life saver info, cant thank you enough!
thanks for the info :))
I was watching sarthe replay from the Grp1 dailies race today. The leaders can hold their hybrid power on constantly. Anyone know how this is done?
I need to know this too, watched a load of replays from this week's spa race, and I can't figure out how they able keep hybrid power in store, even while on full throttle?? Any one out there know???

that toyota hybrid seems OP as hell
Hugo Auditore it's hybrid is not as powerful so not really 👍
@@thekie25 if fuel is a factor in a race yes it is op as hell special with no pit strategy
WHAT button do you hit to activate the hybrid boost??
Automatic mate 👍
Is there a way you can save the power and deploy it manually or is it automatic when you accelerate?
Britbong it's automatic no Manuel deploy 👍
TheKie25 ah that sucks, kinda takes some of the strategy away. Cheers for the reply
Britbong Aye it sucks specially for the Nismo. Its hybrid doesnt help at all it just spins the tyres in low gear and by the time you are at 4th or 5th its all used up.
Doesn't exactly help if I can't see the battery charge state in other views.
HashiriyaR32 you don't need to, more rear = more hybrid power go as far rear as you can cope with
And shark fin helps car turn better
Toyota is OP in this game
Tip number 1 buy a real Sim racing game
G Oss I'm ok I own plenty racing games 👍
