I saw some real life footage and the drivers go clearly with the car off the track at turn 6(tertre rouge) and the corners after the porsche curves and is not penalty. They need to fix this for real!
Very Nice video as always!! Might have missed it, but i Think a lot of people are struggleing to figure out the brake balance setting. Incl me;) How Bout making a video with a few examples of different balance settings? Learning so much from your videos. Thx for the time and effort!! Fubbi
I did a 3:19.432 in the R18 TDI which surprised me a bit because it doesn't have the acceleration advantage that the hybrids do in the first 4 gears, but I could carry a bit more speed on the straights (around 340 km/h) and also brake slightly later in the slower corners. I think it can do high to mid 3:18's but not sure about that
The R18 is my only choice as well, as he loves this track. 3:19 is huge - mid 20's to low 30's is typical for me. I'll check my brake settings, but I think I'm usually minus 2-3 on the front. But I wish we had PS3's brake settings mapping instead. This video - Nicely Done I might add, showing precise marker points for braking is key. Just be off the slightest bit, usually ends badly. The R18 really does well on the long straights at about 240,, where I have tweaked the camber & toe in for the turns works out wheel for using a pad controller. Truly handicapped vs wheel. . When watching live event at Sarthe, member friend is able to hold a steady throttle, in the tight turns proves its another huge advantage coming out of turn going throttle up, and not spinning out,, which is a challenge, and there's examples of me in Astroid belt of gravel pits by micro missed braking point. Have Fun All, Cheers.
Kie your vids will go to the next level if you give the real world tracks Sections their actual names. Mulsanne Kink, Indianapolis, Arnage, Porsche Curves and Ford Chicane are iconic.
Would you think that this holds up on GT7, four years later? I'm thinking of taking the 919 for the Nations Cup this coming weekend and there aren't many Gr.1 guides for Le Mans out there with as much detail as this
Jeff da gamer Mintah I've not touched setups, this lap was base setup with racing hard tyres, in general you want as low as possible here but enough that the car is still drivable through 1st and last sector, and if tyre wear is on you need to factor that in, you could lower spring stiffness at rear also to generate more grip you could also play with Differential settings to help car in acceleration and braking 👍

I know Im kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good place to watch new tv shows online ?
Thanks a lot for the tips, for sure it will help me next time I race in Le Mans.
Dude, you almost beat yesterday´s Alonso time, he did 3:19...awesome!
Amazing track guide! Brilliantly done !!
Le Mans is such a epic track to race around with so many long straits and fast corners!

For anyone wondering this is perfect even for iRacing ( as a driving line, brake points, throttle)
Does anyone have a tune for the R18 2016 for Le Mans? Stable but can set a 3:19? Controller as well....
Thanks. Amazing video as always. Shows How hard it is
I know this is an old vid but thank so much Kie, this video has helped me so much!
Great video as always, really helpful!

Brian Metcalfe I'm terrible at corner names, I only know about 5 corners name 😂
Struggling to go faster than 3:24 with the 919. Think this video will help me a lot.
That a good Video.
GT SPORT IS MY FAVOURITE GAME BECAUSE OF THE PROTOTYPE CARS

Do you use cockpit view?
Not anymore did used to but it's bit slower over race distance so now use floor view etc
How much down force should I have for the 919?

TheKie25 ok , thanks for the advice! I will take it on board 👌
Jeff da gamer Mintah I use a similar track setup to the tune hammerstudiogames made and posted on youtube
Porsche 919 is for plebs.
Nissan GTR Longboye Master is for men 😎😂😂
I did 3:16.489 ! With a 919😁
Virgil Reibel default tyres with no setup changed and bop on? Also was that keeping it in the track limits?
@@thekie25 medium tyres, in track limits, no setup change and all things in rules ^^
