Oh my God, abalone on the half shelf as dim sum is super awesome! I have never seen a live abalone until this past July in a big new Chinese supermarket in the Flushing Chinatown in NYC. The first day I saw about 10 abalones with their shells opened, and they were like standing up moving around a lot like dancing!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes as it's so different. I didn't think of taking a video on my phone of the dancing abalones. So, I went back the next day. There were much more about 20 abalones with their shells all closed. They didn't even move like they are dead!!!!! But, they are alive like the clams. Clams' shells never open, and clams don't move around. That being said, however, the abalones did not open their shells to moving around so much like dancing were probably due to the hot 90 degrees temperature, and they are out of the water tank which means they probably can't last that long. The abalones you ate are like the fresh live abalones that I saw in the supermarket. There is only one supermarket that is selling fresh live abalones in NYC. You should be able to get live abalones in Hawaii easily if you lived in Hawaii. But it is easier to eat them in restaurants, haha!! It's nice to see Hawaii have dim sum restaurants, and other Chinese foods. Decades ago when I lived in Oahu, I can't remember seeing anything that is Chinese!!!!!! I had lived in Hong Kong for a year. Then I left Hong Kong and went to Hawaii. I couldn't had missed a dim sum restaurant in Oahu if I saw one!!!!! But, I didn't think of looking for a Chinatown. Young people probably wouldn't want to live in Hawaii on a long term basis. Hawaii is wonderful for seniors. And better than Florida's hot weather. Now you are eating plastic wrapped sushi which may not be that fresh. Your husband gave it a two out of five! Wow...You said your flight back to Texas was cancelled!! Fortunately, you said you were able to book a later flight. You mentioned you met one of your fans. If you come to NYC or New Jersey, maybe we can run into each other!!!! But realistically speaking, running into each other is impossible. However, you could inform your fans in advance that you will do a meet and greet at tourist attractions such as the World Trade Center or a restaurant.

The dim sum at Tim Ho Wan looked delicious
& a little different from dim sum in Texas. I’ve enjoyed all your Hawaii videos. Thanks for sharing the adventure. Hope one day I can vacation in Hawaii too!

Loved all your Hawaii vlogs! As a resident of Hawaii, I think you managed to describe everything pretty accurately! Pronunciation of Hawaiian words can use some help but hey, everyone has difficulty with them, even local people! Good job! BTW - When in your hotel room, ever watch the in-room Chinese channel? There is a tourist segment with a young Chinese couple. The girl, who I believe goes by the nickname "Ice," kind of looks like you!

Yeah it's kind of risky, even though it's a simulator.
