That's really cool to hear I knew about this place since I was a kid and was always fascinated about it and always wanted to go there and I finally got the chance to I really appreciate you sharing
@@midnightparanormalfiles I actually sent Craig a copy of the original blue prints so he could use them on site in 2014. Actually modeled my paranormal society after his as well. He is a good guy.
Is there going to be a restoration in the future? I’m absolutely obsessed with Summerwind…. I finally found out that it’s owned by the USAF? I wish I could buy it. I’d restore it to its original state and make a bed and breakfast/ museum out of it.
@@Le0Nocapri0 I hope so someday. Since I started my own paranormal investigation company the founder of the Fox Valley Ghost Hunters Craig Nehring would know more about the rebuilding status.
Thanks yes the ruins are very cool to see this is up my alley as well that's why I started making videos on it even know a lot of places we check out we don't find much but I want to share with people our experiences doesn't matter if we get something or not at locations I just want to show people cool spots to check out and the background stories of these locations because it fascinates me
Great video here! I like to think Im up on my paranormal cases but I had never heard of this until I watched the episode of A Haunting.. This is such a fascinating case to me, and youve included some still shots Ive never seen. Thanks for sharing this video!👍
Thanks so much for liking the video I just wanted to do something different that most people don't do for this video because it's the most iconic haunted location that not a lot of people know about
@aimeemoore1094 I fully agree that's why I had Craig tell the story I could not do the justice of this location but I do have a soft spot for Summerwind
No problem they did say sadly it might be the last public event there because the owners are getting older and planning on selling it selling for $300k or something like that
Hi there just watched your video the history of this historic mansion really fascinated me, i had a experience in the paranormal field, in which i was checking out some homes with my parents we were searching for a new house to move into and we came across this old mansion like house in the forest area where an old doctor lived and died in the house, as i descended into the basement i walked into his former office and saw a box full of his recent diplomas and photographs as i was looking at them it got extremely cold in the room and i felt a heavy weight on my shoulders as i turned around there was no one behind me as i turned back towards the box i felt a breath on my back i ran out of the basement and never went back, it literally scared the crap out of me and since then I've been a believer of life after death and the paranormal realm, i even watched A Haunting Ghost Hunters These Haunted Woods and other haunted documentaries based on real life situations. I also have in my possession The Life Magazine with Walter Cronkites face on it that features Summerwind Mansion so yes absolutely enjoyed watching your video
Well this mansion idk if you know this was on a show called a haunting but the first season and second episode it was on there I believe I have to check but you probably heard of that show and yeah
@@midnightparanormalfiles yes i did watch A Haunting this was the second episode of the first season where Arnold and Ginger Hinshaw moved into Summerwind in 1969, and I read about Robert Patterson Lamant fired two shots at a ghostly apparition in the basement doorway after it creaked open so yeah I definitely enjoyed the history and background of this former glory mansion and I really do hope that somebody buys this land and fixes it up and rebuilds Summerwind Mansion to it's former glory
And also thank you for sharing your possession story with everyone on here this place is a special place to alot of us and it's really interesting and your other stories are pretty interesting also
@@jonathanbennaman6753 same here I am sorry if I am kinda out of it that's where my fascination for summerwind really started and Chad Lewis haunted road guide Wisconsin besides
Are the neighbors not the most annoying people you’ve ever encountered? I’m sure they came up snooping as soon as you drove on the “private road” they did to us back in August when we went. I told them I was buying it and pretended to talk to a realtor on the phone in front of them, I said I was turning in to a bed and breakfast, they almost popped …they were SO MAD! 😂

@@PhantomDetectivesLLC I just forgot to mention that I really hope whoever ends up buying summerwind property will take care of it and possibly restore it back to original condition or I wish I had the power to but turn it into a historical landmark for the state and have the state buy it and rebuild the house as a museum or even a bed and breakfast or something it deserves it instead of getting lost to history where someone will tear it down and turn it into a summer home that's not even close to the original house
Very interesting. The house I really want investigated is the one in Wynn, Arkansas that was featured in A Haunting episode "The Nightmare Upstairs".
I am a founding member of the restoration project there. Summerwind will always be dear to my heart.

Glad to see someone made such an in-depth video about this notorious place! This location has been on our "to-investigate" list for some time
Thanks so much I saw some of the places you been to and it's very close to where we are from
Well being a sensitive spiritual person these guys are brave 😅.
I love the name "Summerwind". Just like I always loved the name "Wuthering Heights". Summerwind reminds me of the house "Rose Red". 🌹

I have long been fascinated by Summerwind, even the name is haunting.Such a shame it burned down. What is it about the place that so attracts me?
I have no idea but for me it always been a very interesting location with the paranormal
It draws you in somehow.
I've been there three times.

Oh yeah the neighbors are something else around there that's for sure sorry for the late comment
Is this the same one on a haunting
Yes it is
I thought you cant tresspass on this property, its closed to the public?
Yes it is but we had access to it that night because of fox valley ghost hunters had permission from the owners of the property
I’ve made a model of this place
That's awesome! How long did it take?
Really enjoyed this. Found you through @paranormal contact83 . What a beautiful location and very interesting I have subbed . 😁
