  • Its really impressive how far guitar gear has come along. We have amps that can deliver amazing tones at great prices! However this latest series of Micro amps from Boutique Amp Distribution take the cake! with under 300 USD you can have some of the most legendary tones in a small 30w solid state package!
How they were able to get this VH Micro to play so close to an authentic Diezel amp is crazy to say the least!
    Very very, awesome!!

These are great for home and small spaces, theyll definitely work mic'd up but I agree. The way tubes push air is just unmatched

The bogner is killer and the fried man for van halen stuff ...like a 2×12 can with a spliter to a mini diesel and the other like a friedman and be able to switch or run both together at a gig mic up..

I love when they actually make the lunchbox amps with Tolex. Without that, it makes them look so cheap and like a toy. Looking forward to watching this vid!

      Can't agree.
The metal enclosures of the Engl and PRS lunchboxea look very good.
The tolex makes the small Marshall amps look cheap.

@ Marshall’s have always stayed on brand with that look, so it makes sense for them to be tolexed. When I was thinking of the Engl “lunchbox “ I had the fireball 25 in mind which also looks like a real amp. The Diezel even looks not bad since it has tolex. The Ironball for example also looks pretty cheap to me. PRS looks to say “I can’t afford anything”. Look at the pricing of the little Orange amps these days. I have one or two. Shipping probably cost more than the amp. Anyway, just a matter of taste. The Orion from KSR isn’t tolexed and it still looks pretty badass. But it also doesn’t really look like it’s housed in a cab that has thin housing. I know it’s larger and the lights help as well. But if you fall in the lunchbox category, my guess is you play in your bedroom anyway so who cares.

Try inserting a say 10 band EQ in the mini loop. You be blown. Your library of tones will be expanded so much more.

@@fabianthio4011 shoot I have one, (10 band Eq) I should try that with all my amps I’m not happy with or find that it’s missing just a tiny something.

This are mostly like a pedal with a little transistor power amp section in it, cool to have but not much to use in my opinion, but sure, they are not really expensive either.

VH4 preamp pedal would be a better option IMO.
$250 for the pedal (or $150 if you go with a Demonfx) + $200 old school Peavey power amp + whatever 412 you can scrounge up and still not even close to what a VH2 or VH4 costs.
I am still in shock at the prices people will pay for gear when you can get great tones for peanuts anymore.

@@riffsnoleads your right, great tones do come affordable these days and though some tube amps are highly priced and not as convenient as modelers.
the experiences you have with them are genuine and unique. Like driving a cool sports car vs an affordable hybrid. Both do the same thing but the sports car is bad ass and more fun. Lol

So listening with my eyes closed, it’s nothing new. Cheap price point, cool. Maybe good for a budget apartment player but doubt he has a 4x12 in his room. Just another chugging amp with the same tones. I actually really love that clean tone you do. What’s that from? It took my *yawn* to “ohhh I dig that!”

Im sorry, but do you have some guitar sound or noise bleeding into your speaking mic signal? With the noise gate or something cutting off and stuff its distracting at times when your talking. The off on of it is distracting too it's needs to be less aggressive.
