  • I normally shoot kodak Portra 400 at box speed to get a very classic film look but if you want a more modern look for fashion or commercial it is better to increase portra exposure by one and half stop.
You can see the setup i have used for these picture at the beginning of the video, the backdrop is a different colour but the lighting setup is the same ( one rotalux 53 and two large reflectors )
I dont have time or even the appropriate gear to do any BTS, i am very sorry for those who wants to see how i shoot but it's really not gatekeeping i am really open to help anyone in this industry if you have any questions or even want to do an interview on how all this is shot just send me a mail on

My lighting setup is super simple, i believe in simplicity the rest is just a matter of mastering the light, i love using the elinchrom rotalux 53, it's highly recommended for studio shooting.
The camera is a nikon f5 the lens a 135mm f3,5 Ais ( it is an amazing lens you should get one absolutely ) the film is processed in south africa by cape film supply
If you want to book a photoshoot my studio is in Mauritius Island

P.S all you see is straight from the lab no retouch no edit just some cropping on some picture please dont start arguing about this ... this is my way... in this age of Ai and manipulated picture i stand firm about not editing anything and get everything right in camera.
