Get E-Book detailing the step-by-step plan on (1) how to create your company, (2) what drone to get, (3) how to practice, (4) the companies to go to, and (4) how to get the FAA 333 exemption for $5.00

      I dont give a shit what industry your dealing with, if its happening in US airspace your dealing with the Feds.
      FAA states that you WILL pass part 107 before using a drone for commercial use. If you get paid for using a drone that is commercial use. An insurance company will not issue a policy without a licence.
      Im sure the FAA would just love to hear your version of their law.

    James. I work for an energy company and wanted to use my DJI P3P drone to inspect the boiler recently during an outage. Unfortunately the drone motors won't start due to strong magnetic interference. Plus, the lighting and wifi is horrible. The Phantom is absolutely not the drone for boiler inspection. There is a drone my company used that cost $40K, its awesome. They charged us $10K to take photos of burners.

      Hey Scott, I might be wrong but I believe flying in attitude mode might allow you to bypass a little EMI? When I started my first job I ran into magnetic interference at a construction site. What's weird is I walked out of the site and flew the drone into the site and it worked alright. I know the matrice has signal boosting towers you can place to get around those as well. However these are large sunk costs, and for most inspections a "prosumer" model might work. At least to get you the monetization you need for a more industry standard drone.

If I was looking to hire somebody to do some Ariel work and after discovering their UA-cam channel seen that the results that were low quality I would consider other options.. p.s Muggle to you.

    You have inspired me very much. So doing drone inspections for energy companies is big money making. Yeah using a drone for inspection instead of a human strapped on a harness is quicker and easy. I have a dji standard version and I figured out some stuff except I have to wirelessly start it up from my app.

  • @RickiKeith

    I ordered your DRONEBOOK and it was enlightening. However - as of now there are no Part 107 exemptions - you MUST pass the FAA Part 107 sUAS rating written exam in order to use your drone for profit commercially. Inspections are classic and not hard to get into IF you have any amount of experience in the Big Business sector. I had been an IT professional for a number of Fortune 100 companies solving PROBLEMS. You MUST have some experience at problem solving on a large scale, know how to talk to the right people AND persuade them (by example or demonstration) to use your service. Thanks for the info, love it.

      They're probably terrific for the exteriors, but they still need to be inspected from the inside usually with divers to check for sediment at the bottom of the tanks ans suck it out. As well as inspect paint and other structural integrity areas inside. A company like U.S. Underwater Services is usually called in.

    I messaged you on Facebook, email, and Twitter, haven't heard back yet. I gotta try you here as well :)
    I just bought your ebook.
    I'm not clear on how you break down the $10,000 fee for Wind Farm inspections. Is that per day, for how many hours, etc?
    Thanks
    Chris

      +Dylan Maciborski I'm with drumbum on this, this guy might be good at hustling, but he did make 50K in 7 days with a Phantom 3. He's selling his ebook and making a tiny bit of UA-cam money. I do contract work with big corporations, you have to be very established and professional to get contracts with them. Solo operators will not get these contracts, established companies will get them. He's talking about inspecting pipe lines, with a drone you're only allowed to fly what is in your line of sight, you cannot inspect miles of pipe, you'd have to walk it.

    Fly the drone INTO the tube?! I dont think flying a drone into a metalic tower is a very good idea since it can screw up the radio signals and cause a loss of signal

    • @JamesCompton3
      @JamesCompton3  7 років тому +1

      No, the Mavic is light as shit and the wind messes with it. Get something bigger and heavier.

    • @UR2Compliant
      @UR2Compliant 7 років тому +1

      @TKO...go watch some video's of people flying the Mavic is some serious wind, maybe not a boiler, but the Mavic can apparently make some serious corrections in a lot of wind.

    • @RyanDeremo
      @RyanDeremo 7 років тому

      Completely agree. A P4 would be far more stable and look way sharper/less jello effect. Also, cheaper! lol The Mavic is so overrated that I'm almost glad people are buying it so my material looks better.

    • @kielhawkins9529
      @kielhawkins9529 6 років тому

      Personally I find the mavic to be great from a portability standpoint, you are correct, the footage doesn't compare to a P4.

    • @georgevozniak8318
      @georgevozniak8318 6 років тому

      The lighting on the Mavic can be fixed if you use filters. I will agree that it could handle a little better in the wind.

    With drone technology advancing as fast as it is......people in need of inspections will go out and buy their own drones in order to avoid paying 20,000 dollars for a drone pilot to do it for them once they realize how easy it is to fly them. This guy knows it, he is just trying to sell his pamphlet.

    • @RickiKeith
      @RickiKeith 6 років тому

      Ball Zonchin no cornholio just other trolers chiming in. Large companies use outsourcing all of the time. I have been an IT contractor for many large companies Disney being one so you are wrong again buddy.

  • @UR2Compliant
    @UR2Compliant 7 років тому

    Why wouldn't these companies just go out and buy a drone themselves, take a weekend to learn how to fly one and do the inspections themselves?

    • @coffeecarsandmorewithdanny5749
      @coffeecarsandmorewithdanny5749 7 років тому +1

      Your Self The reason is: to use a drone for commercial use, you must be certified. (part 107 or 333 exemption) There is a considerable amount of knowledge needed to pass this test (plus, it costs $150 to test...if you fail, that's another $150 to re-test) The questions are no joke. If one did not have a prior knowledge of aviation, they (probably) would not pass it. So...they would have to get certified, buy the drone, camera, ect. Their business is energy, wind, ect....not drones.

  • @beezytalkingshit9319
    @beezytalkingshit9319 6 років тому

    Why don't the companies just spend $700 for a drone and do it themselves? That would save them big money. You did put me on game though. I wanted to get a drone anyways. Guess i'll see about making money with it.

  • @weyrunner2838

    OMG, you have any idea how much general liability would be required to release a drone inside a refinery? and how much this drone would cost since it could produce no static electricity or spark of any kind with the nuclear biological and chemical hazards it presents in this environment? and plant operations never considered this option? or operators with starting salaries well over $100,000 per year would have never considered an investment like this for their own self, family members or friends? Yet I am to assume that I could baffle these folks with my technologically advanced $800 toy and could possibly monopolize this brand new industry? Deal me in !!!!!!!!!!!!
