I recently bought for $1199 at Costco but see it’s up to $1299. That includes delivery and placement in downstairs room or garage. My son and i put together last night. Couple hours but the unboxing and moving parts to upstairs gym was half the time. Impressed so far.

Finally someone reviewing it that is close to my height. I'm 5'11" and I was really worried about whether I could get a full range of motion, but it appears from your video by compensating with either bending or sitting on the floor or knees depending on the exercise, there seems to be more than enough range for 6' or smaller. If I was over 6', I'd be more worried. I criticized a couple of other videos who avoided answering the simple question of how tall they were when more than one person asked, but I see you did answer in the comments which goes a long way to helping people like me. I wish someone in any video would answer how many inches from the ground the top position grip would be, but I'm not as concerned now after watching your video. Well done and here is a thumbs up. I see a couple of people mentioned in multiple videos a gym pin to add weight if needed, so I may look into that option.

Great video! Costco has it for $1199 right now when it's $1999 on the Inspire site. I was going to get it. But a local fitness equipment store had the FT1 on sale for $2199 in-store instead of $2599. The main features it has over the FTX for the extra $600 is it comes with additional 5lb weights to add to each side, an exercise manual, a tablet holder, additional accessories (straight bar, ankle straps, 5lb Add-On weights), rotating accessory holder, and the ability to add weights. The weight shroud is nice too. But none of that is needed! Both are great trainers! I have a Total Gym Fit and a Power Rack for which I had purchased additional accessories from Amazon to use. Therefore, I don't need to come out of pocket for anything else for the FT1. The 165 lbs should be more than enough.

I’ve owned both the FT1 and FTX. They are basically the same machine. The FT1 comes with vinyl drape shrouds to cover the weight stacks (looks cheap in my opinion), more accessories, and offers a heavier weight stack option. They have the same frame and metal thickness. You can still upgrade the weight stacks on the FTX. After you add the extra plates to each side the cable will then be too long. You have to cut the cables and then crimp them again. I did this on the FTX I used to have. For the money the FTX is the best FT on the market. Very smooth and good design.

What is the “real” minimum weight, with zero plates added. Different sources say its 15lbs, (net 7.5 lbs with the 1:2 ratio). It would be great if you could hang an actual 5 or 10 lb. plate from the upper cable and see which one moves the carriage. Or 7.5 lbs??

On mine it's a 10 lb plate that definitely feel like 5lbs.

Someone in comments said you can add plates on to this model but I'm not 100 % sure
